- This week I went antique market shopping in Beijing! The Panjiayuan Antique Market is the largest market for selling antiques and second hand goods in Beijing (and possibly China.) I had some fun meeting the vendors and seeing what they sold here! You’ll find everything from jewelry and beautiful stones to pottery, calligraphy, Chinese paintings, musical instruments, furniture, and a variety of other items.

Panjiayuan Market was one of the first places I went in Beijing when I first moved there. I remember buying two paintings and the artist signed them for me. Your mandarin is sooo good!! Thanks for bringing back so many great memories.
Oh what a cool experience! Do you still have the paintings? I was so tempted to buy one of them!
@@rachelmeetschina7287 I do still have them. I have one hanging in my apartment. The other one I need to find the right spot.
oh mi gosh this is purely my most interesting hobby is going to antique flea market; not just i like to collect antique & vintage stuffs but also providing me some good knowledge...great video & thank you! NYC
That dude playing the instrument ruled. Thanks for your great videos @Rachel Meets China
He played so well! It was really interesting to meet him!
"Have you eaten yet" is a Chinese greeting, like "How are you doing".
Rachel: ‘We’re going to the market today’.
Your camera: ‘Uh-oh, it’s going to be a long power draining day!’
Us: ‘You both did a fantastic job showing and capturing the colourful and intriguing market’.
Hahaha very accurate 😂 Thanks for watching!
Love this market. So many interesting items there!!!
Yes you never know what you’ll find!
The Taoxun sounds so good.
First comment! Thanks for showing me around 😊
Thanks for watching :)
Hi, thank you for the video This looks like an artisanal market not an antique market
it's a open screte for Beijing locals that everything in Pan Jia Yuan is fake. People are saying 11 out 10 items are fake! Why? because the seller himself is fake too. They use fake names. BUT, it is still a veru fun place to look around. If you really want to buy something, rule of some is : counteroffer by divide the asking price by 10!!! And stand firmly at your offer. you will win.
I was going to ask this. I came across the article of panjiayuan and was thinking whether the market would sell real antiques or counterfeit
@@cunhon9 doesn't matter if it real or fake , this is flea market, just enjoy it , real antiques nothing is cheap.
