I know we had lots of scammers on the page a few weeks ago, but this here is an actual giveaway. Two Notes gives away a pedal to one of our viewers. Good luck, everyone!
@@RossDaviesTwoNotes is this giveaway available for everyone, no matter where we live? I live in a small island and generally we are not included in hardware giveaways...
@@RossDaviesTwoNotes Hi Ross, thank you for your answer. I live in Tenerife Canary Islands. That's legally a European territory that belongs to Spain, but it's geographically in Africa.
A parametric mid range on the clean channel and I would have owned one of these already, nothing paring it with a graphic EQ couldn't solve, but it's the one thing that truly holds it back from being truly all in one. Still a very cool piece of gear though.
I remember trying it in june 2022 before it was launched with the designer of the pedal and the boss of Two Notes himself, Guillaume. I have been searching a "all-in-one" pedal for a long time to replace heavy amps, have never been convinced by what existed. But this. This blew my mind to be honest. I tried it with a Loïc Le Pape bass (not mine, sigh). Steel bass, killer sound. And there's nothing bad to say about this pedal, everything is well engineered and the potentiometers are usable all along the way. Great success.
I do enjoy both drives greatly, and I believe the clean channel is based off the Ampeg SVT. But not having a middle tone/frequency control is a tiny bit off putting. Everything else does certainly seem like a chef's kiss.
Happy new year Gregor !!! Another good pedal, the year starts well... but how can we fight against the terrible price increases? Starting from 2021 some prices have almost doubled: Behringer A800 from 170€ to 330€- Ampeg SVT-7PRO from 730€ (or less) to more than 1000€ and so on... I think that the beautiful things you make us see and hear will unfortunately remain on the shelves.
I love my Le Bass! Could you do a comparison to that pedal? I'm curious how the Blending modes on the Le Bass compare to the 3 different types on here. ALSO, the hand movements when you switched from the Vintage to Modern is sending me for some reason
perfect timing! I've been looking at the Stymon Iridium for my guitars, and I was wondering if there was something for bass. This think looks killer, thinking I might have to order one
Hey from Dublin and Happy 2023. Superb Video. I like a “clean” sound and this could be great but in your opinion, how does it compare to the Zoom B1 Four Bass Pedal? Cheers. Niall 🎸
Looks great! But, I wish it had a built in interface included.. I like practicing my bass via headphones and macbook. Otherwise, it looks like a very useful tool
I don’t know how I feel about any of this. Valves in pedals have generally always been a gimmick. I would have to see the power specifications to see if it even can produce enough power to drive a tube. The voltage from a 9v 200ma standard supply can be converted to higher voltages obviously, but the 200ma current limit is the limit. I know Two Notes makes fine products so it is probably an amazing pedal but if I were considering throwing down the money for such a device I would want to know some more in depth specs they they likely provide. Sounded great, as always. This channel is the best bass gear channel on YT.
The Cabsim is literally just a second order lowpass filter at 4k-ish and nothing else. Imho it doesn’t even come close to the one in the recent origin preamp Pedals
I would like to see some reviews cover the aux in vs headphone level discrepancy. The headphone volume of the bass input is so quiet in comparison with the aux level that the practice capabilities of this preamp make it almost unusable.
It sounds great. Could you please tell us, if the pedal produces much noise? I have heard that in many tube preamps. And noise is something I don't want to have in my signal chain. Thanks.
How would you compare the Two Notes Revolt to the Trace Elliot B you also raved about having? Would you have one over the other or find enough unique uses to warrant using both? That's the problem with pedals. Find space on your board or plan for obsolescence and move on.
I own the Transit B. EQ, compressor and Tuner are fantastic. Amazing clean sound. The rest of the features suck. Drive is unusable for a drive channel as it boosts the volume significantly, even with a low blend. I can only use it as a solo boost. I bought a separate drive pedal for my dirty tone. The “preshape” function is a gimmick in my view. No real live application as it is too extreme (unless your natural bass tone is all mids). Great pedal in principle. If the drive channel had a volume nob and the preshape was replaced with a boost, it would be perfect,
Hello and thank you for everything. I like your style. BTW, I was wondering : is it relevant (and why) to have a Caveman BP1compact AND a Two Notes ReVolt Bass (not to mention a Torpedo C.A.B. for the speakers) ?
Geiles Denglisch Mann! Hört man nach dem ersten Wort das du Deutscher bist :) Wundert mich das ich erst nach 6 Jahren Bassspielen von dem Kanal mitbekomme :) Abo ist raus! Bass gut, alles gut!!!

The adapters are included. I guess there wasn’t enough space for the big midi connectors. But these here are very common now, I see them frequently on new products
Not convinced, and nothing special here. The high gain sound is aweful and the speaker simulation sounds like a simple 12 db lowpass filter at 4-5 kHz. But the orange flickering background LED for the tube sure brings in some "warmth" ;-)
Yeah, noticed the sound presented here didn’t seem too good either, but hoping it was their capturing setup, as I just pulled one fresh out of the box, lol. Will be pairing with a Ampeg SVT 7 Pro and the Two Notes Torpedo C.A.B. M+. Right now trying to pre-determine an optimal configuration for the looping, chaining, and nesting of those 3 main devices. The Torpedo is actually a virtual pre-amp, virtual power amp and cab sim all in one. So for use w/ the Revolt, I’ll be disengaging it’s pre-amp feature, and leveraging only the physical pre-amp section of the Ampeg. The power section does not have any tubes, so no load is needed…which in part sets me up now for a well charged silent rig with one tube preamp stacked on another.

There's something poetic about tubes, cab simulation and MIDI existing within a single device
Come for the thoughtful, thorough instrument and product reviews, stay for Lars’ badass grooves AND… Gregor’s accent. 🔥🔥 ❤💯🙌🏿🦁🌞
Yeah, his accent is awesome.
That opening groove by Lars was awesome. Love it.
Nice pedal too!
With that one finger plucking too. Imagine if he used two fingers!
With a built in compressor and tuner it would be a weapon!
The reason I use Microbass 3.....but Revolt is veeeery tasty
Naw, they got it right....what bass player don't have 2 compressors they're not using...
I just bought the Effectrode LA-1A tube compressor and this pedal. It should arrive next week and I’m gonna do a video on my channel :)
Killer opening groove!!

It's not rocket science. If you feel that its price is unfairly inflated, don't buy it. That's how markets work.

The pedals power inlet has screen printing it that the video shows. needs 18v and 800mA. So yes, about enough!
it draws 500mA at 12V. Plenty of juice for a single preamp tube.
Happy new year to you guys ,, great review as usual ,

The Cabsim is literally just a second order lowpass filter at 4k-ish and nothing else.

Would Luv to see Revolt vs. Ampeg!
I just popped in to watch Lars play bass, the pedal is cool, but don't know if I really need one.
What genre/style would you consider Lars' opening groove? I love it!
Happy New Year!

Where did you get those sinister evil genius eyebrows from ?!?!?!
Would the tube drive section have some natural inherent compression then?

Yes. There’s a boost converter inside
@@anonymus8760 cool, thank you

Thank you for the video. But for this pedal to be "all in one" it needs a compressor.
It behaves like a tube amp and that comes with some sweet natural compression. I personally wouldn't need more
Not true. If this pedal does the "tube amp" sound as well as the video suggests, there will already be enough natural compression in the signal chain.
