Great comparison review. Switching to a wide toe box has been very beneficial, and don’t understand why more companies aren’t doing this. It is the natural foot shape
Great review, Altra use to be a favorite of mine but sizing and build quality have changed the past few years and not for the better. My son introduced me to the Topo brand a few years back and I can say for me the brand has been great. Road and trail shoes are great and build quality seems spot on. I did have a shoe issue and contacted Topo and they took care of it without any problems. Topo is good for me, glad I found them.
Excellent, thank you. As a retail stockist of Topo it is reassuring to know that I am supporting the better brand of the two! TERRAVENTURE 4 is due to launch in the UK in November at £150.
A review with actual use not just photos! Great review, you addressed fit, cushion tread and wear life! Thank you very much, I'll try the Olympus maybe, definitely the topo's.

I too bought the Topo Pursuit recently, after wearing Lone Peaks and Timps on trails. Nice shoe but I've found the midfoot to be narrower than most of my Altras. My favourite/best fitting Altra was the Escalante 2.5. The Escalante 3 was a huge let down.
I too moved to the Topo Pursuits. My foot shape is such that the narrower heel on the Topo vs. the Lone Peak (with the still wide foot box) just work for me. Still zero drop, which I like, a little taller stack height, and the addition of the Vibram sole has made them a winner for me.

I have the Lone Peak 4.5 and 6, and I really like them both. The 4.5's are my daily shoe and I save the 6's for hiking. I was looking for a replacement for when my 6's wear out, so I ordered the Lone Peak 7. I did not like them at all. They felt narrower than my other Lone Peaks and did not feel nearly as comfortable overall, so I returned them. I will definitely give the Topos a try. Thanks for your review!

The ADK is rough on trail runners for sure. Did part of the NPT last fall… I must have stubbed my toes about 20 times in my Altra Mids and I’m surprised I didn’t break a toe! My biggest beef with the Altra Lone Peaks (got them from Gear For Adventure) was the durability and the lack of a Vibram sole. Had to be very strategic on where I stepped so I didn’t slip. I just ordered a pair of Topo Trailventure 2’s for an upcoming trip and I’m hoping they’re comfortable and they outperform the Altra’s. Thanks for the review!
The Adirondacks' also destroyed my Lone Peak 6's in less than a season. They are not durable enough but I loved the lightweight, zero-drop, quick-dry part of the shoe. As a replacement I got the Topo MT-4's but it looks like I should have went with the Topo Traverse.
I own the topo M-4, terraventure 3 and altra lone peak 5 and 6. I still like the altra lone peaks most of all shoes I ever tried. I don't know why so many people complain about durability on the lone peaks, mine all did very well although I have to say that topo's outsoles are a bit better. The lone peaks win for me because the foodbed is really flat (no arch support or anything) and they are the most neutral with the best toebox in my opinion. They are also light and dry really fast, they have a very good upper material and the ideal amount of cushioning for me. Topo has some great shoes, but the lone peak series are just the perfect shoes for me!
My LP6 started delaminating in 1 run. My Rivera 2 heel cup fell apart in a few runs. I’m still using Torin 4 on the road (bought a load when discontinued) and never had an issue. I’ll be moving to Inov8 upcoming foot shaped 0 drop options. If that doesn’t work it’ll be topo
I love my Topos. I’ve had the Terra adventure, MTN 2, and now Traverse. The only gripe I’ve had is that the inside of the heel wears through pretty quickly. It leads to blistering that I have to constantly fight. But don’t want to give up on shoe because the toe box is so awesome. I hope they fix this someday
The Olympus has taller cushioning but the foam is more stiff and not cushy. Terrible. I have 115 miles on the Lone Peak 7 so far. No rips yet and still has traction. Looking to try Topo soon. Thanks for the video.
Good to know about the Olympus. I tried them on and went back and forth with the Loan Peak. I liked the Lone Peak much more by way of fit. I would say these Topo's are similar fit to the Loan Peak for comfort, but definitely excel in cushion and grip. Keep us posted on the LP7's.
@@OutsideChronicles Yes, the fit on Olympus is also terrible. Easily fits a full size smaller than the LP7. I don't understand why they call them the same size as one another.
Great Video! How do the Topos compare to the Altras sizewise? I have several pairs of Lone Peaks in US size 13 wide. Afaik, the Altras tend to be small in size, while the Topos claim to be "true in size". Do you use the same size in Altras and Topos, or do you have the Topos in a smaller size?

Seems like everyone has a similar opinion when it comes to Altra VS Topo. Topo is just an all around better shoe, albeit they’re a little dorky looking. I started with Salomon’s, got a foot injury then moved onto Altra’s. My Altra’s fell apart faster than I would have liked so now I’m onto Topo’s. Can’t wait to try em’ out.
@@OutsideChronicles I’ve used them a few times now and love em’! Being able to spread my toes out while I walking in my shoes feels amazing. Can’t wait to hike in them soon. I've been wearing the Lone Peak 5's for a while. I love them for their comfort but I only wear them for shorter efforts, hiking, camping, trail runs under three hours. The traction is definitely lacking on them, but I do love the comfort and fit of Altra shoes! Never tried Topo, might give them a look!
I have been wearing the Altra Olympus 4 shoes for a while now and really love them, especially the toe box and Vibram sole.. I hike in Pennsylvania, so lots of rocky terrain. But, the new Olympus models are crazy expensive. So, I will be checking out the Topo shoes as well. I was going to look at the Traverse, but having a rock plate like the Terraventure shoes would be nice!! Thanks for the overview.
Live in PA as well and switched from lone peaks to the terraventure. I still use my lone peaks from time to time, but on race day I find myself grabbing my terraventures more. My only gripe is they take a little longer to dry out than the lone peaks. But, the terras hold up really well on our rooty, rocky trails!
Completely agree about the sole on the Altra's. The lack of traction is frankly dangerous in many situations (wet rock in particular). This needs to be widely known so that Altra stick a vibram sole on, instead.
I was just at a shoe store yesterday to put in an order for the Topo Pursuit -- like the Altra, a zero-drop trail shoe, but which has gotten really good reviews from through-hikers -- and the lady at the store said she stopped carrying the Altras because she was getting too many returns for defects or rapid wear. Meanwhile, the Topo models she said moved really quickly and people were satisfied with them. As soon as the Pursuit is in -- I have to special-order them because they don't have a lot of distributors in Europe -- I'm going to put it head-to-head against the Terraventure. I'm really looking forward to it.
Just a warning...Olympus 4 pancaked on me right around 200 miles. Since Altra was sold, and they fully committed to the Ego midsole, they have slid in quality (they always had sizing issues, but now they just don't last). I'm using mostly Topo now, not the boots though. And I'm going to try the Hoka Bondi wide for some road running...we'll see.
I have Altra andTopo Athletic. Both have wide toeboxes and fit well. The Altras are super light; even lighter than the Topos. But the soles of the Topo (Vibram Megagrip) are SO superior. I have slipped several times on wet rocks while wearing the Altras. Never with the Topos. So the Altras are reserved for groomed trails anddry warm days. I'll wear the Topos on more technical, rough terrain. I did a video showing my history with hiking boots/shoes. Trust me, justabout anything we weartoday is better than what I started with. Tom Loves DIY.
I’ve put thousands of miles on Lone Peaks. Tried out the Topos last year. Did about 1200 miles on 2 pairs (I never get that many miles on Altras). I liked the vibram sole on the Topos, but the way that the toe is elevated did not work for me. When standing in the Topos, your toes are arched upward. I went back to Lone Peaks. I should say that I add an extra rock plate to my Lone Peaks for comfort.
Topos seem intriguing or Norda 001 shoes. My go-to is Salomon Speedcrosses. Love the newer 6 but not on wet rock. Just grabbed Altra Olympus 6. Feel comfy but question their durability.
Hey Mike - I've put a few hundred miles on my Altra 6s and they've held up very well. I am curious though, after my recent hikes in the ADK, how a shoe with a rock plate would feel. Is it more stiff? I just bought a pair of 7s so I'll be sure to report how they work out. The rock plate does sound like a nice feature.
The rock plate I am sure makes it stiffer, but nothing super noticeable compared to the Lone Peak. Yeah, definitely let me know how you like the 7s. Hey, I still got over 400 miles on the Lone Peak. I still use them locally. The LP are the first shoe I tracked with my Garmin. So I do not have a point of reference with the Solomon by way of total miles.
Between my wife and I we have used Altra Lone Peaks for years and years, not anymore, they have done nothing but go down hill rapidly. I will never buy another pair. Topo here I come!
Here in UK I got my Altras for £70-80 basically new on ebay which are much easier to get! Topo's are not common at all and they are twice more expensive on some of the websites (plus tax/vat?) So I use Altras and I used my Lone Peak on a long walk but anymore, I ended up injuring my ankles, knees etc coz lack of cushioning. I love my Timp 4 they are the most comfy! Olympus 4 are also very good. I use both for long proper walks and Lone Peak for everyday walks, to work etc.
Glad you have good success with the Altras. I have a pair I use every day to walk my dogs and love them. I just found the Topo's to be just a bit better for my uses. Too bad they are so expensive on your side of the pond. See you outside!
I have very narrow feet, but my research has led me to trying out Shoes with wide toe boxes. This has changed the whole footware game for me. Topo are my go to brand, yet I still use Altra also. Thanx for the video my Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
Lone Peak not just “considered” zero drop, they are zero drop. I agree the soles wear out quite quickly. I have both Lone Peak and Olympus styles and prefer the latter. The Topo are not as wide in the toe box and it was obvious as soon as I put them on; after a few hours hiking my feet feel really squeezed, which is never an issue with Altra. I’m going to stick with Altra.
Thank you for taking the time to make the review, quick question; how do they compare in size? I’m a 12 in my altras. Looking to get the topo’s for the rock protection. Do you notice the same size in both fitting close to the same? Thanks!
So would you still choose topo over the Salomon?. I have used both Altra The lone peak, and the superior. I found the lone peak to wear out really fast in the midsole and have poor foam. The superior was a pretty good shoe. I moved to topo athletica and currently use the mountain racer 3. Which I think is an incredible shoe. The outsoles on the topos are phenomenal. Durability is like three to four times better than the Altras. I have used in the past the ultra venture 2. Also a good shoe. I also use a couple models of the road running shoes in. I've had great success. I think they are a great company
Thanks for this great review. Does the topo's 3mm drop help? I find lone peak too close to the ground and the heal feels slight discomfort after a while.
Appreciate it! My perfect trailrunner would be the Topo Terraventure with the wide toe box and rock plate with the rubberized outer toe of the Solomon. I also really like the laces on the Solomon! I am in love with the wide toe, I don't think I could go back.
@@OutsideChronicles interesting as I too have moved away from Salomons even though I loved them for so many years and the lacing rocks. I found the cushioning to be inferior for old knees. I have really enjoyed Brooks Cascadia which proved well in Glacier NP.
From what I have heard and read about, is that the Topos have a huge amount of arch support which can be quite bothersome to some people, especially coming from Altras which have zero arch support. Did you find that to be the case?
Not at all, the Terraventure is 3mm drop and a neutral support. I would say the arch is about the same. You can even go with the Pursuit which is 0mm drop and neutral fit. For me the fit on the Terraventure was similar to Lone Peak, but everyone's foot is shaped differently.
I may be buying the topo 4s. In desperate need of hiking shoes at a happy middle ground. I love my barefoot drop zero shoes (tyr laced drop zeros) and their wide toe box but they're not intended for hiking. My conventional hiking shoes crush my toe. I just need quality, a smidgen of cushion and my wide toe span to not get crushed. Does the front part of the topo curve up too much? Does it comfortably bend ? That's my only apprehension when looking at it
I play disc golf and bought a pair of Altras to try them out. They lasted 6 months until I threw them in the garbage. I destroyed them to the point they were no longer wearable.
Beside durability, which really depends on your usage, it looks like most of the cons to the lone peak you mention would be fixed by switching to the Olympus. Just switched to my 2nd pair of Olympus, would give Topo a try if they were available more easily in Europe...
Altra used to be my go to shoe. It’s hard to beat the comfortability, but after the Lone peak 5 the quality went downhill significantly. I got about 200 miles out of my 6’s before the sole at the toe completely separated.
I disagree. I wore the Topos and right away I could feel the air gaps under the foot bed and the toe box didn't seem as wide to me as my lone peaks. I wound up going back to the lone peaks. The Topos do have a slightly elevated heal. The lone peaks definitely are zero drop.
I may have missed it in your video, but how’s the sizing compare? I’m getting ready to make the jump from Altra to Topo and there’s no dealers local to me to see if the same size Topo works.
I might have missed it, as I was doing house work and listening at the same time, but was there any mention of the Topo's arch support? It seems that on average Topo has far more pronounced arch support than Altras, which could be a good or bad thing, depending on the person.
First of all, I am honored to be part of your house work. Second, the Topos have minimal arch support. Their specs say they are neutral. These was another comment about this as well. See you outside!
I have the weird situation where the height of the toe box is extremely important because my big toe pushes up like crazy. The lone peak is really the first shoes for me that allows that to happen without restriction (even with them I use no insoles). Anyone speak for the Topo? Thanks
Are the Topos as wide as the Altras? I used Loan Peaks on my AT thru and my feet got beat up .😢 I bought a pair of Olympus 5s but haven't used them yet. Still looking for a perfect shoe.
I would definitely give the Topos a try. The tow box is very similar to the Lone Peak. I have the v3 of the Terraventure and compared to the Lone Peak 6, there is a negligible difference if at all. Supposedly the Terraventure v4 will have even more volume than the v3. You will have to let me know how you like the Olympus. The cushion of the Topo is far superior to the Lone Peak.
The wide toe box is superior in comfort. I have Solomon Ultra X for fall/winter and I am missing the wide toe. I will say the Solomon’s are far superior in durability even to the Topos
I think it would be a better fit, but based on the comments on this video regarding the decrease in Altra quality, I am going to stick with Topos for at least another round. We could see the same quality problem in Topos down the road too. I will say, I can't go back to a traditional toe box.
@@OutsideChronicles I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit in Olympus 5. In total, I have already done over 500 kilometers in them and nothing has moved them
I had the LP5s but was not so satisfied. I mainly run the trails and did not like the material of the midsole. Less cushioning yet responsiveness. Extremely bad grip. For trailrunning kind of useless. Currently using the Brooks Catamount 2. Everything is better. Beside the toebox which is "just" medium to wide. But to be honest. I use real barefoot shoes (Vivobarfoot) in everyday life. I see that as more relevant than the few hours of sport. There i need grip, bounce and precession. From TOPO i will try the Cyclone 2 for fast street workouts. Briliant midsole material.
Neither.. Altra’s fall apart nowadays, Topo’s are wide up front but too narrow through the arch and heel.. weird. Brooks Cascadia 17 have been fitting my normal width 11.5 great lately.
Once Altra upper management changed or the company was bought. Not sure which. I just know something happed a few years back. There has been a noticeable decline in Altras overall quality and durability. I stopped buying their shoes.
Over the last 10 years Altra's choice of materials, glue used, and overall construction have gotten worse each and every year. Last year was the last one that I told myself that I would buy. I am sure that they are slowly losing customers as more of them become aware of the inadequacies.
not understanding the importance of a zero drop sole make you create this kind of video comparisons. meaning - these shoes are not comparable. you could review the Topo Pursuit vs the Lone Peaks Bad Review
VFC isn't private equity, but they're acting like it with the way they've driven Altra into the dirt. What's funny is that VFC has 3 divisions and the division Altra is in the only one that isn't bleeding money, so ofc that's the one they're nickel and diming. Everyone says the same thing about Altra, the durability isn't there. I say they're skimping on materials for sure. I also say they make some lousy design choices, and I'll say the shoes are not actually any wider than any other running shoe. They're really not. Their widest last fits tighter than a NB 2E. and you could always get 4E. even a hoka 2E was just as wide in the toe, and a bit wider in that one area that Altras seem to misfit on every single person I've seen try them, which is the midfoot on the lateral side and going to the pinky toe. That chunk of foot hangs off the edge for basically everyone I've ever seen try an Altra. I haven't tried topo yet but I want to. issue is the only shop that sells them is an hour away from me and I just got several new shoes recently... including an altra..
I have Topo, many miles on them, I wear them backpacking too, with micro-spikes, never got blisters. If they get wet they dry fast. They do have amazing traction. I have no interest on trying a different brand. Altras are overrated IMO.
Based on comments in this video, I gave the Altra Olympus 5 a try. The Vibram sole and extra cushioning helped a great deal. However, at 100 miles, they are falling apart.
@@OutsideChronicles Not as many as you i can imagine. The fabric on the heel was completely gone on one shoe so the outside material was rubbing against my heel so i got blisters and i got the same holes on the mesh that you had on the right shoe. Also the tread was gone.

The traction is definitely lacking on them, but I do love the comfort and fit of Altra shoes! Never tried Topo, might give them a look!
If you like the fit of the Altra, you will like the Topos. I’d give them a chance.
@@heathern7174 Thanks!! We certainly have plenty of "rooty, rocky trails"!! LOL! But, living here puts us close to so many hiking areas.
The pursuit is a great and popular option. I am guessing they will be very close to the Terraventure. Let us know your results!
Good to know, based on everyone’s comments, it looks like Topos are my future choice.
I got some trail new balance for cheap off Amazon and they have a good toe box
I’m not a thru hiker so it’s enough for long weekend hiking
I have Altra andTopo Athletic. Both have wide toeboxes and fit well. The Altras are super light; even lighter than the Topos. But the soles of the Topo (Vibram Megagrip) are SO superior. I have slipped several times on wet rocks while wearing the Altras. Never with the Topos. So the Altras are reserved for groomed trails anddry warm days. I'll wear the Topos on more technical, rough terrain. I did a video showing my history with hiking boots/shoes. Trust me, justabout anything we weartoday is better than what I started with. Tom Loves DIY.
Same! Vibram is superior. I love my Topos. See you outside!
I think there was a few production quality issues during the pandemic that resulted from supply chain/materials substitutes.
Great video. Thanks man.
Glad you liked it! See you outside!
They were bought out by a large outdoor corporation and ever since then their quality has gone down hill
Here in UK I got my Altras for £70-80 basically new on ebay which are much easier to get!
Topo's are not common at all and they are twice more expensive on some of the websites (plus tax/vat?)
So I use Altras and I used my Lone Peak on a long walk but anymore, I ended up injuring my ankles, knees etc coz lack of cushioning.
@@OutsideChronicles I will buy them once my Altras will be properly used up and be nice to try some other shoes, Topp seems awesome.
@@gregoryoutdoors I think you will be happy with the Topos.
I have very narrow feet, but my research has led me to trying out Shoes with wide toe boxes. This has changed the whole footware game for me. Topo are my go to brand, yet I still use Altra also. Thanx for the video my Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
Great to hear! I use Topo for hiking, but have Altra's for everyday. I find it hard to wear my winter boots with a regular toe box now.
Damn bible bangers are everywhere…
Thanks!
My pleasure! I wear size 11. I have both the LP and Topo in size 11. Both have the same fit.
@@OutsideChronicles great, thank you!
Solomon XA Pro are great shoes, but now that I have experienced the wide toe box on the Altra and Topo, it is hard to go back.
Thanks for this great review. Does the topo's 3mm drop help? I find lone peak too close to the ground and the heal feels slight discomfort after a while.
I honestly do not feel much of a difference between 3mm and 0mm. The biggest difference is the amount of cushioning.
good stuff as always
Appreciate it! My perfect trailrunner would be the Topo Terraventure with the wide toe box and rock plate with the rubberized outer toe of the Solomon. I also really like the laces on the Solomon! I am in love with the wide toe, I don't think I could go back.
@@OutsideChronicles interesting as I too have moved away from Salomons even though I loved them for so many years and the lacing rocks. I found the cushioning to be inferior for old knees. I have really enjoyed Brooks Cascadia which proved well in Glacier NP.
TOPO has taken the top spot for me. Durable, comfortable, and customer service is amazing
Glad you like them, totally agree! See you outside!
The trerraventure 4 doesn’t have significant arch. Barely noticeable really. Unless you have really flat feet, the terraventure are pretty neutral
That's my only apprehension when looking at it
The tow is very flexible, I do not notice the bend in practical use.
I agree, the Olympus would have been a better choice. I went with the hype over the Lone Peaks. See you outside!
Also, I have not found the rock plate is necessary.
Altra used to be my go to shoe. It’s hard to beat the comfortability, but after the Lone peak 5 the quality went downhill significantly. I got about 200 miles out of my 6’s before the sole at the toe completely separated.
Seems like a trend.
My choice is - Merrell MTL Long Sky 2 !!!
I have the lone peaks and have to use 1 size larger than I normally wear. Are the Topo more true to size?
I disagree. I wore the Topos and right away I could feel the air gaps under the foot bed and the toe box didn't seem as wide to me as my lone peaks. I wound up going back to the lone peaks. The Topos do have a slightly elevated heal. The lone peaks definitely are zero drop.
For what it's worth, the grip is much better on the LP7 (and the upper is stiffer which makes it feel tighter)
Thanks, good to know. See you outside!
what shoe is that in the image still for "zero drop" cuz it actually looks good. every altra ive seen looks not great.
Topo grip. Good review.
Thanks!
I may have missed it in your video, but how’s the sizing compare? I’m getting ready to make the jump from Altra to Topo and there’s no dealers local to me to see if the same size Topo works.
Sizing is almost identical for me. I am wearing 11's in both shoes, both fit similar.
Like to know diff between hikers and runners....most people talking about Topos appear to be hikers and my use case is predominately running
I definitely on the hiking side.
Thanks
I would say they have similar toe boxes, best to test fit if you can find a local retailer
I need a shoe for countless stream crossings. Do your Topo's drain better than than Lone Peaks?
They drain as well or better. They seem to dry quickly. Hard to say.
I dont think either of these are durable from what i been reviewing. I love my la sportiva's but looking at zero drop options
The cushion of the Topo is far superior to the Lone Peak.
whats the sizing like compared to salmon
I wear 11 in Salomon, Altra, & Topo. They all seem similar for my foot.
Do the Topo's drain pretty well?
Yes, hard to say if they are better or worse than Altras.
how do the solomon compare to the topo? comfrt / wide toe box?
The wide toe box is superior in comfort. I have Solomon Ultra X for fall/winter and I am missing the wide toe. I will say the Solomon’s are far superior in durability even to the Topos
Keen makes a great hiker with a rubber toe
Keen are known to be a wider shoe, but it still does not beat the wide-toe box of the Altra/Topo.
You should try Altra Olympus 5
I think it would be a better fit, but based on the comments on this video regarding the decrease in Altra quality, I am going to stick with Topos for at least another round. We could see the same quality problem in Topos down the road too. I will say, I can't go back to a traditional toe box.
@@OutsideChronicles I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit in Olympus 5. In total, I have already done over 500 kilometers in them and nothing has moved them
1:06 Which Altra running shoes are these?
6
Is the sizing on these the same?
Yes, I wear 11 in both
I had the LP5s but was not so satisfied.
Great feedback, I was also disappointed in the grip. Vibram soles are superior. See you outside!
Hopefully over time the Topo folks do not start reducing the build quality like has happened with Altra.
Yes, that would not be a good thing. I took a chance based on comments and bought a pair of Altra Olympus 5's. They lasted 100 miles.
Topo for sure,, nuf said....
Neither.. Altra’s fall apart nowadays, Topo’s are wide up front but too narrow through the arch and heel.. weird.
Brooks Cascadia 17 have been fitting my normal width 11.5 great lately.
Are they Barefoot?
The Altras are zero drop, the Topos are 3mm drop, but they have models that are zero.
Once Altra upper management changed or the company was bought. Not sure which. I just know something happed a few years back. There has been a noticeable decline in Altras overall quality and durability. I stopped buying their shoes.
Unfortunate! I love my Topos. See you outside!
Over the last 10 years Altra's choice of materials, glue used, and overall construction have gotten worse each and every year. Last year was the last one that I told myself that I would buy. I am sure that they are slowly losing customers as more of them become aware of the inadequacies.
Seems like a common thread with Altra.
not understanding the importance of a zero drop sole make you create this kind of video comparisons. meaning - these shoes are not comparable.
you could review the Topo Pursuit vs the Lone Peaks
Bad Review
Thanks for sharing! I agree, still loving my Topo's. Getting ready for a replacement pair.
Do you notice the differnce in the "toe-spring"? The Topo has a bigger toe-spring, or not?
I do not notice it specifically in the toe, the cushion is overall more on the Topo
Sorry don’t agree, Altria is the better shoes 👟 💪🏼
Based on comments in this video, I gave the Altra Olympus 5 a try. The Vibram sole and extra cushioning helped a great deal. However, at 100 miles, they are falling apart.
@@OutsideChronicles ok I agree now lol
My altra are falling apart🤦🏻
Switched from Altra to Topo and never looked back. I love em Altra but durability is trash.
Agreed! Can't beat Vibram soles
2:55
Altras just fall apart. i had a pair and they were ripped to shreds after 6 months of use.
Any idea on how many miles you put in them?
@@OutsideChronicles Not as many as you i can imagine. The fabric on the heel was completely gone on one shoe so the outside material was rubbing against my heel so i got blisters and i got the same holes on the mesh that you had on the right shoe. Also the tread was gone.
Altra's new color scheme is ghey. Game over. No one is buying that brand anymore....
