And in the 70's they had this on TV. Now we have the x factor, glee, britain's got talent and the like cerebral vacuum. Where the hell did music start to go so wrong?
I took the Bad Company album to a party when I was 16, soon after it came out. It stayed on the turntable for most of the evening and I've never had so much attention from girls coming up to me with "I hear you brought this music".
Just bought this album "Bad Co" to day. 17 years old from Finland and gotta say, when you just want rock you can't go wrong with Bad Company just wish other people in my age would listen to 70's rock, like Bad Co, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Ac/Dc...
ROLLING STONE voted them one of the most musically talented and greatist Rock & Roll bands ever formed but never recieved the recognition they deserved unfortunately.A very talented group!!!! Their music will stand the Test Of time!!!
I grew up in this era too. This was "The" kick ass band of that time. Paul Rodgers is one of the greatest rock and roll singers of all time. Oh my, the memories! I wish I could do it all again. And the women were so fine!
Saw Bad Company a couple of years ago and they are still kicking it. Paul Rogers has definitely not lost his voice and Mick Ralphs is still a master guitarist
how do these skinny little twenty year old english kids (rodgers, winwood, marriot, you name it) summon the raw, visceral vocals of eighty year old blues men? paul rodgers is just completely insane. freak of nature voice.
Agreed. For the record, I think that's his Fender Esquire, though. Not much different, basically just a single [bridge] pickup Telecaster. It was the original Telecaster!
I saw bad company in 1975,, niagara falls convention center. Great concert. They played here recently, 35 years later. I could sing along with every song.
Real Instruments,Real Music,Real Band,Real Good. My favourite Rock Band of Alltime ,yes ,sabbath, deep purple, madam butterfly, the who, guns n roses and any other legend rock bands. They will always be the best
This is so great 2 see..just wish it was clearer..bec its such an awesome video. Paul was so gorgeous..& the whole band was awesome/handsome..& all so talented. Luv these guys! So sad we lost Paul K. & Andy F. from Free..RIP...
PAUL is trained on piano and guitar,he has fronted many bands and he is multi faceted and extraordinary on the mic,BAD COMPANY SHOULD ONLY BE VIEWED LIVE
One of those rare moments of genuine rock-n-roll intensity... white man breaking through to the beat. To be followed by Jim Croce!!!! Unbelievable. Talk about dousing the fire!!
After a friend bought me another Stratocaster for my birthday, I tuned it to the same open C chord to play this and Movin On from the Merchants of Cool DVD. Plus I use it for David Gilmour’s Mihalis Pink Floyd One Slip and Terminal Frost.
My band played this at our school talent show about a year ago....it was actually a pretty big hit with my school, but I doubt most of the kids watching knew it was a Bad Company song.
This was first sigle 45 played ad youg DJ. I could never forget. Every time I listen it I've to start to dance (even I'm 55y old...). ROCK FOR EVER!!!!!
Paul Rogers and Simon Kirke from Free Boz Burrell from King Crimson (Died in 2006) and Mick Ralphs from Mott the Hopple, saw them 74 & 76 going to see Bad Company in April Next year can't wait!
Those were the days, pure Rock n Roll to the core! Miss it but still lov'n Paul Rodgers...see em every time they hit Cali's Valley!! Best male vocals still today!
That's a great story; my band had a similar situation. We lost to a kid who swooned the crowd with some sappy Jack Johnson or John Mayer song, can't remember which it was, but either way, I wanted to gag. Luckily my band got 2 more opportunities to play for the school; we played a whole set of Led Zeppeling covers and that was a big hit, particularly with all the parents in the crowd.
I agree with that. And I'll comment that not only was there a decline in independent stations, but even big-market stations with program directors that operated independently. Radio wasn't blindsided by MTv, they just under-estimated it. And now, there's not even MTv. I used to think it was some sort of meme seeing posts from young people claiming musical nirvana upon being exposed to the music we took for granted. But now I know it's no fluke; they're pretty much floored by what we had.
you are not alone, i hear this comment over & over like a mantra.."Why was I BORN TOO LATE" Music today sucks, etc i totally agree, i was lucky to experience any of it. I was born in the late 50's, so when i was graduating high school 1976 rock was big, even though Disco was emerging, the 70's were big .... Billy Joel, Elton, fleetwood mac, Heart, Van halen, just to name a few were all happening, i went to many great shows. i feel for the teens today having to live w/ such sterile crap..
Paul Rodgers is one of the greatest singers over more than four decades. Only Robert Plant,Peter Gabrilel,David Bowie and one or two others get anywhere near him. Saw him twice.Great singer.
Just to set the record straight, ( I`m fairly certain) this clip was originally from an episode of ABC`s Wide World of Entertainment: "In Concert" from about Jan. or Feb. 1974; although this particular clip was from a "best of" episode aired that Autumn.(That is Keith Moon introducing them.) Bad Company only put out their first album around early `74. I know UA-cam only has limited operating funds; but I wish SOMEONE could identify all the "In Concert" `72-`75 clips and catagorize them better.
This was a major song, and a major band, when I was growing up. It seems odd that this is the largest number of viewers I could find for this band (currently 38,581 as of this writing). I'm a bit surprised. Many lesser bands would have more views - I guess this is just a sign of the times, but it's still disturbing to me.
Great that Keith Moon introduced them! Most unfortunate that I was too little to have caught these guys in the 70s. It was that 1st album that sparked my interest in drumming at 5 yrs old. I did get to see the reunion in '99 with the original group. But Paul didn't play any dual leads w/ Mick, so this song sounded a bit lacking. Still, a great show. Glad I got see one of all-time favourite bands with the original classic lineup. Looooove Bad Company.
Yup I agree 👍 with all you said cracking songs so tonight I will be mostly listening to these guys and a Kansas song wayward son instead of rhcp pearl jam nirvana and many other people and bands i like i have a very eclectic taste in music steaming from the 70s onwards and then also into different scenes of music i was into depending on what my dad was listening to and just songs were the lyrics jumped out at me as well as the music unfortunately I liked to get to know about singer's and bands of late and that has put me off them mindyourself all be happy 😊 meadbh
To North boy i have already replied to your comment and said that i was going to be having a listen to these guys also tonight 2018. Maedbh and I also said 1song of Kansas wayward son live in Canada you should take a look it's an amazing performance especially by the singer who also goes into an energetic solo of playing drums and keyboard and afterwards when i read a couple of the comments i was doubled over laughing about the 1comment thanking things on behalf of the singer but it is a memorable performance
REAL HEROES , ARTIST ., THEY GIVE ,PEACE ,LOVE ,EMOTIONS WITH THEIR INSTRUMENTS INSTEAD OF GUNS AND DEATH AND SUFFERING MISLEAD BY CROOKED AND CORRUPTED SO CALLED POLITICIANS , I MEAN THIEFS
@RockingHardV3 You tell 'em! This was back in the days of TV-top rabbit ears, rooftop antennas, UHF and VHF -- getting up off our butts to walk over and MANUALLY change the channel. The quality is just fine -- considering the convenience of satellites that we didn't have back then ;o)
@RockingHardV3 Haven't been able to find the broadcast date, though. Funny that late 1974 was when a 12-year-old me first heard about "In Concert" and thought it was the most amazing thing I'd ever heard of. Was sad because I couldn't stay up that late.
The rainbow looks like the one from the California Jam in 1974. Bad Co didn't play at that concert though... Here we are 36 years later, and he still sounds just the same (if not better). Paul Rodgers is one of the best, and sounds better than ALL of his peers. Thanks for posting this video.
The women of the seventies were the prettiest of any era!😍
People ate healthier back then, better food =nicer skin.
Oh thank you
No rhythm. It's up to you to bring that...😂
So were the men. And these men! Hair styles had a lot to do with it,,,,,,,
I sure do miss the 70’s.
And in the 70's they had this on TV. Now we have the x factor, glee, britain's got talent and the like cerebral vacuum. Where the hell did music start to go so wrong?

by far the very best era to have been a teenager in.......................I was there and it fucking rocked big time.
Back when everyone in a ROCK N ROLL band had long HAIR I won't forget BAD COMPANY & KANSAS at the Chicago stadium 1975
ROLLING STONE voted them one of the most musically talented and greatist Rock & Roll bands ever formed but never recieved the recognition they deserved unfortunately.A very talented group!!!! Their music will stand the Test Of time!!!
Absolutely 💯
Paul's band before this was ALOT better
This is one band that sounds even BETTER live!!
I grew up in this era too. This was "The" kick ass band of that time. Paul Rodgers is one of the greatest rock and roll singers of all time. Oh my, the memories! I wish I could do it all again. And the women were so fine!

These guys are the undisputed kings of 70's booze rock. This ladies and Gentlemen is proof of that title
Don't forget those panties 😜
What a total badass in this video, I've never seen him quite like this!!!!!
Damn, that was good. Took me back to the good old days :)
Pure rock and roll. When you can't get enough, play it again.
Saw Bad Company a couple of years ago and they are still kicking it. Paul Rogers has definitely not lost his voice and Mick Ralphs is still a master guitarist
Mick Ralphs is proof that faster isn't better for a guitarist. He was always tone and taste.
@@agnostic47 as also always demonstrated by the great Tony Iommi. 👍🏻

Brings back so many great memories seeing these guys play is awesome!
nice version, paul was tight on the git harmonies and mick's playing in an open C tuning I think
I saw BC in 1975. Great concert. Ahhhhhh....the good old days.
nothin' like the sound of a Telle and a Strat harmonizing
Agreed. For the record, I think that's his Fender Esquire, though. Not much different, basically just a single [bridge] pickup Telecaster. It was the original Telecaster!
Yeah you got that right!
Got that right!
Can't get enough of Paul Rodgers and Bad Company !!!!
I saw bad company in 1975,, niagara falls convention center. Great concert. They played here recently, 35 years later. I could sing along with every song.
Time moves on but this is timeless !!
Bad Company - Can't Get Enough Live 1974

I saw them twice in concert. in Burning Sky tour 1977 and Desolation Angels tour, 1979.

Now he is 71 years old and looks like 50 !
Yep, best all time voice in rock n roll

Great band.
Paul Rodgers. Multitalented underated rock and roll giant!
damn this band is too good live!
great blast from the past
