Aren't supersnake f150s made by sending a normal f150 to shelby and they tune it? Also, the f150 was much lighter than the ram because it is not the crew cab. I bet that the ram would have won against a super snake f150 crew cab.

I much rather have the luxury interior and rock crawling capabilities of the Ram TRX over a split second difference in speed.
Switch the pulley to a smaller one on the TRX and you will blow that Snake out the water. But def agree. The TRX has more to offer and its just as quick. All day.

Shelby F150s are capable of mid 11s 1/4 mile times.. and honestly stock for stock Shelby F150 is obviously superior due to weight and other stuff.. but even for tuning capabilities the F150 is alot more better than the RAM. A twin turbo F150 stock motor gapped a Model S plaid on a roll.. now a twin turbo RAM on stock motor can't gap a model s plaid can't it?
@@fart69x69 except the fastest f150 supersnake time is 12.9 at 108mph. The Ram TRXs fastest time is 12.3 at 110. So its not quicker officially. The Ram is. And if a twin turbo f150 can beat a tesla plaid then im more than sure a twin turbo TRX would destroy both. Ontop of that its not the TRX final engine phase. There is a hellephant engine you can swap into the Rams that puts out 1200hp. And yes thats production stuff...not aftermarket like the Shelby. Tell Ford to keep up pls

And not just that.. the GT500 beats the Hellcat redeye on the street, on a roll and on the track and it uses a smaller engine with less horsepower.. It's just because the Redeye is an absolute ship

The trx is a full cab, 3000 pounds more, and 70 less hp, and it's specifically for offroading, and it barely lost against a modified single cab with a smaller bed. Both great trucks but I think I'm going with Dodge on this one.
Not to mention it was fully engineered and built from the factory with a warranty!

@Zesty Meatballs I was thinking from a lightweight standpoint. I assumed it wasn't because the TRX launched way harder. But the light weight, as well as being lower, definitely helped on the top end.

Ford has either average or below average reliability ratings which is nothing to brag about. Even their new interiors aren't very good. Their performance is okay. Certainly not the best though, and they will try to convince you to the end of the earth that this is true when it isn't. Capability is okay, but one again, it's not the best. Overall ford fanboys are very unintelligent life forms and no matter how much evidence you shove in their face they will continue to argue. Maybe the engine but the truck itself is specifically for off road. Might as well get a normal 1500. All the components and suspension are beefed up and heavier for off road abuse. If you decide to lower it and make it lighter it’ll be cheaper and way better to do an engine swap on a regular ram.

F150 shelby super snake 2 door 2x4, 2x4 four door,, lifted 4x4 crew cab,, shelby raptor and shelby Raptor R, now F250 Baja centennial all with various engines, sizes, track street offroad high low its awesome. Wish wed still have these type of options on every model on each manufacturer like we use to pre 2008. Where we not only had multiple brands we had a large amount of trim options from luxury to sport to heavy sport to sedan to four door to different engines then you had a large fleet of different type of cars and on top of that you had the other part of the big 3 competing with the same. 2008 crisis was the last nail in the coffin for great American cars. Showing the best is gone. Though we do have the best muscle and sports vehicles now we dont have the massive selection large medium small big plain fancy fast slow diesel gas big small medium engines n/a turbod supercharged. And because of all this brand new cars went up but worse is used cars have skyrocket why? Because there's say an economy cheap car for 30k then the performance sporty version fully loaded is top of the line and triple or quadruple the price. Compared to pre 2009 where you had mass selection mass trim and models and lots of competition so you could buy say a practical economy car four door big trunk five seater cheap dodge neon caliber pt crusier cobalt pontaic g5. Very affordable and practical in all areas then you can get a top trim super sport model or srt 4 model and you get the same good all season car, cheap repairs, cheap cost, but you get a new high performance engine with supporting upgrades upgraded sound system leather suede interior body kit hood scoop wing conversion to a two car and a 5 speed if wanted for lots of fun comfort on a budget while keeping the car affordable semi luxury good looking fun to drive and a practical family daily driver. For a price so cheap anyone with a minimum wage job could afford. Now you want an American brand affordable performance car thats also practical to daily drive there ghosts. And if you do find one its a car like a charger that is almost a fleet or pre 2009 cars all in one just massive overalls for each trim or model level. To keep low overhead. This is why for car enthusiasts who can only afford 1 car to buy and wants a luxury/ performance car truck suv thats also practical has to buy from Germany or lower there standards and by asian cars which are cheaply built, crap quality luxury items and low crappy performance engines and still expensive enough cause of importing and its hurting our economy like crazy. The American canadian dream was on life support for a long time but 2008 put one of its last nails in its coffins and covid another nail. That TRX is a damn beast. 702 horsepower right out of the box in a full size truck that can hold it's own against a modded and tuned F-150, and have off road capabilities? I'll have some of that.

It has 70 more horsepower than the ram weighs less and barely beat it from a dig and didn't win by much on a roll. The TRX can go off-road unlike the Shelby and still whoop ass at the strip. I'll take a TRX.
The trx has over a liter of displacement more as well. 5.0 vs 6.2. Heavier or not. You guys can get butt hurt all you want. You can slap a supercharger on a coyote mustang with that same 10 speed transmission that’s in that truck and embarrass the “badass” hellcat. Any more arguments?

The super snake comes in a similar off road package as the TRX. They have a lifted version as well as the lowered version
