This game needs more than just chapter 2 to stay a thing. The developers can't leave or be disconnected like they are if they want to be popular. Such a shame
Well they are like that because chapter 2 will bring the game out of early access meaning specific glitches will be removed, polishing the game like replacing the older graphics into wha we saw in the teasers and seeing all of what they send over the 3 years,I can see why (if the devs continuing releasing any news, then more likely to be less hyped because you will see how it will go in the story which will be bad because less money for them to earned and so on,so forth, also if that update gonna bring out the game from the beta after a long time especially taking more than 3 years and still haven't released yet, probably more likely will have more content than what we are seeing in the news)
@@lillappy7520 yeah, and nobody cares at this point, the devs have been inactive for almost a year now, and it has been 3 years since survival, everybody left
The Crashlander mod brings what chapter 2 is meant to bring in terms of having a storyline, quest system and an extensive crafting system! And it was created in around a year by 'The Red Builder' and his modding friends!
It was, but, in talking to Redbuilder on discord, he said it was exceptionally hard making the tiered quest system (more time than they could have imagined), which is why the content was so short (we finished it in days). Content creators milked it as long as they could, but it took considerable time and resources to create in comparison to the quick player experience it provided. The issue is, good games with quests that give options and branching results from player actions takes an extremely long time to develop. It is what it is. I prefer true sandbox instead of quests. Maybe give some dialogue here and there as to why you are there, but let the players discover and fight new things over time with improved creations and leave the themepark questing to games like WoW, FFXIV, etc.
been waiting for awhile for this game to fully release, one of my favorite survival games, im not very good at it but having the freedom to build basically whatever is amazing
I have a few rail systems in my current survival world. While I am looking forward to new content and performance fixes, it also means that I have to relearn the game balance before I can take on a project like a rail system. It's possible that the new bots will make something like that impossible. I'd hate to have enjoyed all that I've built for so long, only to have an update come along and break it all. Other than that, I'm still optimistic.
i finished primary school, celebrated my 18th birthday, had a cat pass away (fly high sophie) and i'm probably going to get my drivers liscence before ch2 drops 😤
Scrap Mechanic Survival was my family's pandemic lockdown game. Now the pandemic is almost a distant memory now, and yet Scrap Mechanic has yet to move on.
To bad they lost their whole playerbase because it took them ages to do small updates or even minor bugfixes. They finally step up and put a final deadline in when there are only a dozen players left
As an alpha release that you pay for, communication and light content releases are part of the deal. They make 1 maybe 2 blog posts in a year to steam. I thought their Twitter was abandoned. So I guess it's good to see they haven't abandoned it or shut their doors. I think they'll have a large release. This game has such potential.
Honestly, the game is just so... bland. I remember playing the survival back when it first released and thinking, "this is pretty cool but they need to add way more content" because the open world just felt so devoid of anything. Apart from obviously the vehicle making aspect, there was nothing else to it. Now, revisiting 3 years later, sure I love the charm this game has and I kind of missed it but it feels like little to nothing has changed. The survival aspects are still bare bones. Survival mode is literally just a sandbox with the nuisance of hunger and thirst but with no real point to the game. It's just a disappointing waste of potential.
I cant tell you how badly I wish scrap mechanic and lego fornite could do a sort of merger. I personally think the idea for this type of games to be a lego game just makes such obvious sense and thematically I love it especially when you think about all the possible stuff you can have since lego has done so many collabs and epic seems to be able to as well. I think lego fornite is beautiful... the art style and graphics are really nice for this type of game in a lego theme. It just has a lot of limitations compared to scrap mechanic in terms of what and how you create.
Yeah agree. Will defenetely be a disapointment again. Takes them 6 months for minor bugfixes. Now they decide to put a deadline in while there are just a dozen players left. These devs are just huge failures in RL

As a person who waited for Terraria Updates, I think I can wait a little longer

Hey,ones the update comes and I get a laptop, should we play multiplayer?

Yeah it went from over 30k players to just 2k
we still need alot more before the game is finished. like the ability to pick the block were looking at in sandbox mode.
The only exposure I have to this game is from 8 years ago

While we're waiting for the chapter 2 update... they never did finish the chapter 1 update that was supposed to include story content and such.
All you want to see in chapter 2, is implemented in Crashlander mod. You should Immediately start to play!
Bruh I would be happy if they'd just make the decryptor and protectors work. I wanna do some quality looting in the warehouses.
We need this on xbox, perhaps game preview 👀
Anyone noticed the Axolot games website is down?
To be honest the 1.0 update is going to be a let down compared to the mods available. And yes I love this game
When they say that chapter 2 is "coming soon" i just assume they means it's not coming out that year.

SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT scrap mechanic! *camera pans to empty stage with COMING SOON sign... disqualified! sticky wheels?!... smh🤣🤣
the rate at which they make stuff is soooooooooooo slow like what are they doing in all this time

Looks like they havent done anything big enough in over 3 years.... disappointing. The whole "its one big update soonTM" crap is a huge HUGE red flag.

Too little too late . Thats when wannabes develop A game and release it for money.
