The connections between them is that they use the hero to retrieve a powerful artifact to control or conquer the world only to be defeated by the same heros and be redeemed at the end anyway. Honestly, there's no better way to pass the time while waiting between seasons, or even episodes within a season, than making up our own episodes and seasons. I should know; I do it all the time! Obviously I still want and need to see Bowser VS Eggman happen, since it's my most wanted fight, but I really like a lot of the fights you listed here, Rappter, and would very much love to see. The ones I'd most love to see would have to be Kylo Ren VS Edelgard, Noel VS Aigis, Deathstroke VS Taskmaster (preferably in live-action) and Perry VS Skipper. I really vibe with those matchups, especially Kylo Ren VS Edelgard.
Whenever they do Bowser v Eggman how would u like it represented? Do u hope they stick to the games like the 2nd Mario v Sonic DB or bring other things in like Archie Comics and all things Bowser like Paper Mario, those old shows that he turns people to bricks and whatnot. I am ready for the episode as well, just curious what direction they take (I personally want everything and not just game base as Bowser would slaughter Eggman. Give him a fighting chance).

Bowser's got strength and potentially durability (both survived black holes) while Eggman's got speed (since he and Sonic fight all the time) and intelligence. But me being one of the biggest Sonic fans in the world, I'll probably just vote for Eggman anyway
Shockwave vs Brainiac is probably my number 1 most wanted fight, two machines of logic with opposite ideals, with very different powers and a unique style of combat for both of them. I’m just imagining the two of them attempting to out-smart the other while pointing out the flaws in each other’s logic.

I actually requested Yami vs. Jace Breland from Magic the Gathering with the connections they're both intelligent magical swordsman who have helped saved their respective worlds(multiverse in Jace's case) multiple times plus it'd be cool to see them try to out maneuver each other(yes despite looking and acting like a cranky old man who smokes a lot who shouldn't be a active-duty Magic Knight Squad Captain Yami is actually a tactical genius who is also good at reading his opponents), plus just imagine the dialogue potential we have for banter between the studious, intelligent, and often courteous Jace and the at times cranky Yami, and the fight animation/choreography can you just imagine how cool it would be with the right animator doing it not only the amazing sword duel moments but also the moments that are show the clash between Yami's Darkness Magic and Jace's combo of Water Magic, and Illusion Magic. The though the big question will be which version of Jace does the research team go with? OG MtG canon Jace who due to being a Planeswalker was basically a nigh-immortal, OP, multiverse traveling demigod, or current MtG canon Jace aka reboot Jace who due to being a Planeswalker is still a powerful multiverse traveling School of Illusions Wizard who also mastered Water Magic, but is no longer a nigh-immortal, OP, multiverse traveling demigod in terms of power.

Seeing some of the more INSANE feats from the digimon universe would be lovely.

Rex in the thumbnail, based list. Personally, and unfortunately, a dream season for me would involve Netflix finally getting its crap together and releasing the Magic: the Gathering animated series to give Death Battle a good shove towards including a TCG matchup. Yah, Ash vs Yugi is going to happen eventually, but that's basically an anime matchup with card game mechanics, it's not like it's a Yugioh match diving into World Legacy lore or anything. Giving story scenes in card artwork the kind of editing they put into comic/manga panels would be fantastic too. Currently the matchups I'd be most interested for when that show hopefully comes around are Gideon Jura vs Luke Cage (Marvel) or Liliana Vess vs Ryou Bakura (Yugioh). Not all that big of a fan of the Nicol Bolas matchups I've heard, but he'd be a great to see too.
I feel like the perfect Halloween episode for this year in particular would be Golden Freddy vs Lisa (FNAF vs P.T). Not only are the connections X vs Primal tier in terms of numerous, not only would the lore of both FNAF and especially P.T make for a very interesting analysis that focuses more on the mysterious and tragic tales of the ghosts Cassidy and Lisa, but most importantly, it's the ten year anniversary for both FNAF and P.T., and considering how influential and game changing both games were to the horror genre, it just feels right.

my question for a yuji vs denji matchup is do you include Sukuna and the chainsaw devil? I assume you have to or its not even worth discussing. Yuji is a literal superhuman by himself and denji is not. Even then you have to decide how many fingers sukuna has. its a great match thematically but too much of a stomp imo

I dont care what anyone says. I like Perry vs Kim Possible better than Perry vs Skipper. I know P vs K isn't as popular but after watching the Death Battle cast about it, i don't see things the same way. I feel like the animation for both characters would be a lot more fitting due to the cartoons they come from, i want to see how their different gadgets bounce off each other, and it was proven to be a pretty debatable topic. Seeing Perry and Kim throwing their skills and weaponry at each other would be so fun and i genuinely want to see who death battle think would win.

Honestly, there's no better way to pass the time while waiting between seasons, or even episodes within a season, than making up our own episodes and seasons. I should know; I do it all the time! Obviously I still want and need to see Bowser VS Eggman happen, since it's my most wanted fight, but I really like a lot of the fights you listed here, Rappter, and would very much love to see. The ones I'd most love to see would have to be Kylo Ren VS Edelgard, Noel VS Aigis, Deathstroke VS Taskmaster (preferably in live-action) and Perry VS Skipper. I really vibe with those matchups, especially Kylo Ren VS Edelgard.
Whenever they do Bowser v Eggman how would u like it represented? Do u hope they stick to the games like the 2nd Mario v Sonic DB or bring other things in like Archie Comics and all things Bowser like Paper Mario, those old shows that he turns people to bricks and whatnot. I actually requested Yami vs. Jace Breland from Magic the Gathering with the connections they're both intelligent magical swordsman who have helped saved their respective worlds(multiverse in Jace's case) multiple times plus it'd be cool to see them try to out maneuver each other(yes despite looking and acting like a cranky old man who smokes a lot who shouldn't be a active-duty Magic Knight Squad Captain Yami is actually a tactical genius who is also good at reading his opponents), plus just imagine the dialogue potential we have for banter between the studious, intelligent, and often courteous Jace and the at times cranky Yami, and the fight animation/choreography can you just imagine how cool it would be with the right animator doing it not only the amazing sword duel moments but also the moments that are show the clash between Yami's Darkness Magic and Jace's combo of Water Magic, and Illusion Magic.
The though the big question will be which version of Jace does the research team go with? OG MtG canon Jace who due to being a Planeswalker was basically a nigh-immortal, OP, multiverse traveling demigod, or current MtG canon Jace aka reboot Jace who due to being a Planeswalker is still a powerful multiverse traveling School of Illusions Wizard who also mastered Water Magic, but is no longer a nigh-immortal, OP, multiverse traveling demigod in terms of power.

I'd personally be against Denji Vs Yuji happening *now*, just because Denji is undergoing new powers in the current arc that haven't been explained yet, I'd rather them wait for the characters to finish their arcs before immediately throwing them into a DB
Give it until 2025. Yeah the Shibuya arc was successful but Denji’s new abilities could be downplayed to all hell and that’s not something a manga reader wants to see

Please not Mr. Fantastic vs plastic man. I get it is kinda a legacy matchup but they barely have connections except stretchy guys , their dialogue interaction won't be unique and predictable and Plastic man stomps except you give Reed all his stuff.

Personally I must prefer Borky from The Unexpectables as a match-up for Grog.
I know this seems unlikely, but I want to see King from Tekken vs Wolf from Virtua Fighter or those two in a fatal four way with Haggar from Final Fight and Zangeif from Street Fighter 2

Personally, and unfortunately, a dream season for me would involve Netflix finally getting its crap together and releasing the Magic: the Gathering animated series to give Death Battle a good shove towards including a TCG matchup. Yah, Ash vs Yugi is going to happen eventually, but that's basically an anime matchup with card game mechanics, it's not like it's a Yugioh match diving into World Legacy lore or anything. Giving story scenes in card artwork the kind of editing they put into comic/manga panels would be fantastic too. Currently the matchups I'd be most interested for when that show hopefully comes around are Gideon Jura vs Luke Cage (Marvel) or Liliana Vess vs Ryou Bakura (Yugioh). Not all that big of a fan of the Nicol Bolas matchups I've heard, but he'd be a great to see too.
I feel like the perfect Halloween episode for this year in particular would be Golden Freddy vs Lisa (FNAF vs P.T). Not only are the connections X vs Primal tier in terms of numerous, not only would the lore of both FNAF and especially P.T make for a very interesting analysis that focuses more on the mysterious and tragic tales of the ghosts Cassidy and Lisa, but most importantly, it's the ten year anniversary for both FNAF and P.T., and considering how influential and game changing both games were to the horror genre, it just feels right.

my question for a yuji vs denji matchup is do you include Sukuna and the chainsaw devil? I assume you have to or its not even worth discussing. Yuji is a literal superhuman by himself and denji is not. Even then you have to decide how many fingers sukuna has. its a great match thematically but too much of a stomp imo

I dont care what anyone says. I like Perry vs Kim Possible better than Perry vs Skipper. I know P vs K isn't as popular but after watching the Death Battle cast about it, i don't see things the same way. I feel like the animation for both characters would be a lot more fitting due to the cartoons they come from, i want to see how their different gadgets bounce off each other, and it was proven to be a pretty debatable topic. Seeing Perry and Kim throwing their skills and weaponry at each other would be so fun and i genuinely want to see who death battle think would win.

I like that idea better than skipper due to how the fight would look and I have no connection to Sam so Perry vs Kim is still one of my most wanted even if it doesn't happen any time soon.
