    Iberostar Paraiso Beach resort is part of the large Iberostar Complex. It is about 30-40 minutes south of the Cancun airport. It is a 5 Star, all-inclusive, family resort. There are 5 resorts within the Complex, Iberostar Del Mar, Beach, Lindo, Maya and the Grand. Guests at Iberostar Beach can enjoy their resort and they are welcome to use any of the facilities at Iberostar del Mar as well.
    All of the resorts share a central common shopping plaza area with shopping, entertainment and food options.
    There is a long stretch of Paraiso beach that the resorts share with plenty of seating and palapas for shade.
    Iberostar Paraiso Beach Resort is not about luxury; it's about taking a family vacation on a budget.
    We show you what the all-inclusive package includes, the different suite options available, the restaurants and menus and more.
    We show you how to find out which buildings house the different suite categories.
    We show you the beach and what the seating looks like and the different activities that happen on the beach. We also show you the beachside snack shack.
    We show you around the huge pool. It is shared between guests at Iberostar Beach and Iberostar Del Mar.
    We also show you the different restaurants and the buffet as well as what the menus look like.
    When possible we try to film the resort early in the morning so as to respect people's privacy and have as few people in the shots as possible.

    Thanks for video! 😊The Iberostar Paraíso Beach in Mexico holds a special place in our hearts ❤- we've vacationed there twice already! The beach is stunning, with clear turquoise water perfect for swimming. 👌The service is top-notch, making the whole experience incredibly relaxing. We highly recommend this resort for anyone seeking a nice and hassle-free getaway!👌👍💯

      Thanks so much and it is great to hear you love the resort! The whole complex is unique and we have stayed at each resort there.
      Have you tried Maya yet? Maya is as good as Beach but the water park area is fun and the restaurants are just a bit more elevated.
      The beach area is great!! 😃

    Great and spot on review! We have been coming there every year for the past 7 years.

    You hit all the positives, but failed to mention that since the new management took over, maintenance is an afterthought, at best. Ice machines and water dispensers in the buildings are broken, or even stripped of their parts altogether. When we reported this 2 visits ago, we were told that they were working on fixing it, go to another building to get water or ice (no more room service). When we came back later the same year, the same machines were still broken, and more in the other buildings had now broken down.

      Really? That is crazy! We didn't have any issues but I wouldn't have thought to check other buildings. Beach and del Mar are definitely not as maintained as Maya and Lindo. Your experience is definitely unacceptable. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for the review. How was the beach, food, daily activities? Is there an extra charge for the evening shows/performances? I read on TripAdvisor that the Iberostar Del Mar charges extra for shows.

    • @scottbaker5998
      @scottbaker5998 8 місяців тому

      Yes, since new management took over, the nightly entertainment is no longer on site in the Del Mar / Beach auditorium for free. It is now in the Grand and you have to either pay additional to see the show, or attend a daylong timeshare presentation.

      The food is pretty good for the price point. Not fine dining but not bad at all. Lots of restaurant choices between Beach and del Mar.
      The beach is very nice. A bit rocky but huge with lots of seating and shade.
      Daily activities at the pool are fun and the star club always has something going on for the kiddos.
      There is an extra charge theater show that I don't recommend. We asked around and most people said it was ok but too expensive. There is always something going on in the "village" plaza area in the evening that is included and fun to watch. We didn't find any need to spend extra money on shows but that is just 'us'. We enjoy having a few cocktails and playing cards in the bar or walking around the village getting ice cream and watching the street performers.
      Galaxy Nightclub is also fun and included with your stay. There is plenty to do in the evening without spending more $.
      Hope that helps a bit. 😊

    You mentioned vegetarian options. How does the hotel (all of them at this location really) handle allergies? Thanks!

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  8 місяців тому +2

      Honestly, I don't trust any of them with serious allergies.
      Disney World is my gold star standard for resorts that handle food allergies with confidence.
      I haven't found even one in Mexico that can handle food allergies the way Disney can. They ask you at check-in and ask you again at every restaurant but I'm not sure it goes much further than that. We have a nut allergy and a kiwi allergy on our team and neither are handled exceptionally well. We have to be diligent in checking for ourselves. That being said, we never had any problems but we double checked everything just in case.

    If you had to choose between the Iberostar Del Mar or Paraiso Beach what would you pick? Any big difference? We are planning a wedding and wanted to choose the right spot!

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  9 днів тому

      Honestly, if you can swing it Lindo or Maya are a step up and not much increase in price. If not, then I would choose Beach myself.
      We are just wrapping up a trip to the El Cid properties in Riviera Maya - Marina El Cid, Ventus El Cid and Ventus Ha El Cid. They are about 10-15 minutes north of the Iberostars. They are another good choice for a destination wedding. I'll try to have videos up about those three as fast as I can but they are a good comparable resort. 😊

    Which iberostar resort do you recommend your a couple whereby we can enjoy other resorts too in the complex at no extra cost. We have mostly stayed at Bahia Principe Akumal and if you are a guest there you can enjoy all facilities and restaurants at other Bahia Principe resorts in the complex. Thanks for your help in advance 😊

      Hi! I recommend staying at either Iberostar Grand Paraiso (adults only) or Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya (family). If you stay at the Grand you can access the other 4 family resorts whenever you want. If you stay at Maya you can access Maya, Lindo, Beach & Del Mar but not the Grand.
      Maya costs less than the Grand. It is a great resort and is more family focused. The Grand is more expensive and focuses on tranquil relaxation.
      If you are a couple that prefers to be more active than Maya is a good option. If you prefer to relax with a book and a great cocktail then the Grand will give you that but the Grand can be a bit too quiet if you enjoy activities.
      Hope that helps 😊

    We are going this December and have the Beach access room booked. That’s a very interesting point about the room service. When did you visit? Everything I read said no room service whatsoever. I am hoping that you have given us another reason to be excited!

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  8 місяців тому +1

      I love the beach access rooms. Their location is fantastic!
      If you go on the Iberostar website and put in dates. Then choose the beach access room and look at the amenities it lists. It should have a picture of a hand with a cloche and says "room service 10am to 10pm"
      It doesn't get listed if you don't have dates chosen and most rooms don't have it.
      Screen shot it on your phone and keep it handy but as far as I know it does come with the beach access room category.
      Have a great time!!

    What about the alcohol beverages ? Is it all inclusive at the bars.

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeppers. All inclusive includes alcohol at the bars. When you stay at Beach you can also visit the bars at Del Mar.
      If you want to upgrade your alcohol to the fancy stuff then there is usually an extra fee for it but it really isn't necessary to do so unless you have a favourite brand you must have. 😊

    we are deciding whether to do airbnb for 1.5K or this... one HUGE disadvantage of this resort is their suits are 1 single room with 2 beds, we are traveling with a kid.

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeppers, I hear you on the sleeping arrangements. They are all 1 bed or 2 unless you get 2 connecting rooms. Depending on the age of your child you could do a King with a child on a sofa or request a rollaway.
      It may be worth pricing out connecting rooms at del Mar as they are almost exactly the same.
      Alternately, We also really really like Marina El Cid or Ventus El Cid (2 sides of the same resort) with our extended family. It may be worth pricing those resorts out as well as there is a SERIOUS discount for kids under 12 and a ton of different room options. When we were last there we booked a 1 bedroom and it has a separate bedroom with a door and kids are on a double size pullout. One of my favs. 😊
      Airbnb is a totally different vacation than an all-inclusive so I suppose it depends on what you are looking for out of your vacation.
      Hope that helps a bit. ☺️

    • @newtravelescapes
      @newtravelescapes  3 місяці тому +1

      No concerns from me. But I don't go looking for it either. There are always THOSE people who try and buy illegal things on the beach which is just asking for problems.
      With 40 million people vacationing in the area last year I would say it is as safe as anywhere.
