I’m owning a 2016 500X from 2017 never have a problem with anything. I’m been changing the oil every 8000km. And I’m just change the tires. No issues at all and I’m driving in the snow. Every winter season This is not a bad car Till now 2023. And still good:)
The same here I own 2016 trekking plus 2.4 l , it going well , sometimes engine light come out and go away by itself when it very cold , but so far I been traveling with it long distance like 500 miles trips , no problem at all , and it does go very fast in sport mode
You are lucky. I had igniton wiring corrosion, abs sesnsor problem, rusted brake pads, rotors. Fixed all of them but I still love this car. No engine problem so far.
The only issue I am having and I've had some issues in the past but nothing major is mainly related to the battery. But the problem I'm facing now is the blower for the AC inside the cabin is going out because I have to literally hit it to get it going lol now I'm trying to find some videos on how to take it out and then install a new one
Many of the problems stated here were first year problems. There was a TSB for most of these. My 2016 is still going strong in 2024. I have only installed a new battery and oil changes. Still love my X.
I love my 2017 500X Trekking 2.4...runs great with NONE of these mentioned problems... the seven year old battery is still in service and the engine, drive train and all else is fine.
"The warning light indicating that the drive mode cannot be used and the all-wheel-drive mode is deactivated is bothering me. I've been dealing with this defect issue, but this warning light is really troubling me. 😢 It might not be the ELSD but rather an electrical short in the radiator fan that needs to be checked. Also, the check engine light might be on."
Omg this scares me … my moms previous car (Toyota Rav4) blew a rod , so we quickly searched for a new vehicle to finance, and we got the Fiat 500x. My mom was so happy with the car, then the door handle broke a month after having it. It made me search up common problems and as I figured the door handle seemed to be a common issue and her cooling fan does sound weird we never really thought about it … she loves the car and all, i just hope that hers does fine. She needs it to last, and idk we figured the car might be a good dependable car without doing much research but she really needed a new car as soon as she could get it and this is what she got 😭😭
my door handle broke recently too. I’m attempting to fix it today only to discover the absolute difficulty that all the interior panels hide. i cannot for the life of me remove the locking mechanism on the outside of the drivers side. that’s the only thing i need to get off to finish this whole thing
@@victoriacurrier8813 try wiggling it out as hard as you can, it shouldn’t be actually connected to anything, just keep pulling and wiggling you wont hurt the car thats how we got it out
Mine the same thing ,The car handle broke to , I used a good glue from auto one , I been having this car since 2016 , the car is really reliable on the road, no problems for years
I currently own a 2016 FIAT 500X and at 80K miles, EVERYTHING except catching on fire is happening. It’s currently getting the rear lights repaired as mentioned. Once repaired, I’m getting rid of it….Damm FIAT for not recalling the known issues.
I've had a 2021 500x for almost 2 years now. I find that it is an amazing car. Solid: the quality inside and out Safe: extremely precise and responsive steering Drive: very safe and responsive for an automatic Design: perfection. Just look at the 3-knob AC controls. Makes my 2019 F150 AC look it was designed by a crackhead. The only issue I've had is defect in the side airbag/seat belt system sending bad data to the computer which meant reports of airbag, hand brake and stop-and-go malfunction. The car was successfully fixed 6-months ago. But the problem is back. Random warnings on dash and whining about the seat belts. By coincidence the dealer sent me a notice of recall 82B/NHTSA 24V-510 describing a buckle switch/airbag light safety recall. Called them to make sure they had the part. They told me no ETA. Sad shame considering the amazing overall quality of the vehicle. Fiat is shooting itself in the foot.
So fake… by the german autobild it’s one of the best en reliable car ever made parts have been check after a long test drive they even had no sign of any tear down. Make’s it one of the top quality cars ever made
My daughter just bought one her first car the 3 day the engine light show up 😢she panic and very upset all the reviews she saw are very favorable I'm hoping it not a big deal she love the Fiat 500x she call the car my little chocolate😂 😂😂

My 2016 500x has only needed the battery changed and now brakes after 106,000 miles. Been a good car.

The handles are crap! I'm sitting in mine waiting for recovery due to warning lights for breaks, Power steering
