Good morning Coralie! 💕✨🧚♀ Hooray for vintage children’s books! I’m a child at heart as well and absolutely adore looking through these. Hermione Hare’s Party is SO adorable, love all of the characters. Haha I thought of Colin as well when I saw the cuckoo clock! 😂 Ohhh those snails on the First Country Book - LOVE them!!!! The wonky hare lol!!! I don’t blame you for not taking these books apart - I wouldn’t either! Oh wow I didn’t realize kookaburras weren’t native to Western Australia, that’s fascinating. The Hedgehog Feast is wonderful, I have that one as well. So inspiring! Haha you know I love my dragons! 🐉😍✨💕 It’s so funny because I also feel like I say “cute” way too much in my videos lol! I don’t even realize it when I’m filming usually, but when I’m editing I’m thinking “someone could make a drinking game out of this” haha! 😂 A Natural History of Fairies is a stunning book. I did borrow it from the library but definitely need to purchase it at some point. So glad you picked it up, I can just feel how much joy it brings you. Totally understand about spiders - I had a tick phobia (and still do) but as you said, had to kind of learn to confront it calmly once I had kids. Now outwardly I remain calm when I see one but inside I’m screaming hahah! This was tons of fun, thank you so much for sharing! Sending lots of love and hugs to you from me and all the beasties in the forest! ❤🌳✨🌈🧚♀🦄💕
"Who's flippin' what" 😂🤣😂 Hermione's book is wonderful. I love vintage books from "my" era, just takes me right back to being five and coloring on the living room floor at Gram's 🥰 What a grand find the Holden book, that's amazing! It doesn't really look like her art work...per Dr. Google: it's "RS" for Rowena Stott. Over the moon for that moon (AND the wooden clog they're traveling in, so cool). Get out some tracing paper or thin copy paper and start tracing those moons and moon faces, you'll get a "feel" for how they're constructed and will begin to build muscle memory, after tracing them a time or ten, move on to drawing out your own versions. Nearly everyone starts by copying the things they like and building their skills, and their style, from there. Ohhhhh the Poison Garden is gorgeous. Tell yourself (and others) a different story about spiders..."Spiders don't bother me anymore. Some spiders are beautiful." I goes with the "fake it 'till ya' make it" idea. "Phobias" are just beliefs. Beliefs are just thoughts we keep thinking. Every time you tell the story about your fear it reaffirms it, reinforces the idea and belief. Thoughts (and phobias) can be changed. I tell you this as a person who suffered (NEEDLESSLY for YEARS with that kind of BS thinking ("anxiety & depression", serious agoraphobia, good gawwwwwwd, what a pain in the arse I was with that K-rap. That's why when I mention "anxiety and depression" on my channel, I do so with such complete disdain). It kept me from doing so much. As soon as I learned I could control it (and really the ONLY thing we have COMPLETE control of is what we let go through our minds. Though, bc of bad habits of thought, we often feel we're at the mercy of our minds rather than in control of them.)--the entire world opened up to me. I'm on a mission to help save other people the precious time and energy wasted on that kind of thing (thus the other channel Positively Creative U...) So glad you liked the watercolor video(s).
