Hey Dan, I keep coming back, LOL I wanted to send you a picture of a tool I made for making fixed diameter circles out of any stock , but mainly for horseshoe crafts that need repetition accuracy and ....all out of scraps and drops. Where's the best place to send it? If I have enough repeated drops and stock cuts, I'll make one for you to give away if you like. I have to find some way to thank you for being there when I was going through my worst challenges. The fact I'm still alive speaks to the healing powers of blacksmithing. Taking my attention away from my diagnosis and prognosis, and giving me a way to help someone just starting out truly saved me.
Send it to me via my email industrialartstudios@gmail.com please and it's no bother dude was just be there when I could hope you doing well and thank you for the comment.
Super nice, super fun, super channel!I have forged a bickern with a 90 degree turn for my hardy hole, and have a piece of well drill bit i plan on using for a cone mandrel. THANKS.
Great job but you don't want to polish it up , whatever your shaping around it will slip and bounce around a lot more than if it had been left at around an 80 grit finish
You've probably heard this before but that Massey...is sexy AF, any specs on her?, hammer weight etc, mandrel turned out lovely, no need to harden her unless you intend cold forging on it, mandrels are mainly used for truing or tweaking, you want to forge on it, get a bick iron!
Going to take on that Venture myself here real quick
I would put that on the mantel and just stare at it, that young man is a work off art
Thank you Roy.
Very nice Dan! Enjoyed every second.
