I have everything in FX and V Collectiosn and $49.99 seems a bit steep tbh. I also have all the amazing IK Mulitmedia tape machines, so I'd rather spend $25 gettig the GForce Linndrum, I think. Sorry, I love arturia but .... this is a bit too expensive imho.
The valve preamp and the high end low tech of the recording head made this 60's an interesting color adding, like the Softube that emulate the 24 track version and was more HIFI it Can realy soft and distord the sound in good way...
I kind of never use those on tape simulation plugins due to the phasing noise it introduces, probably why it isn't there. It is almost always better trying to dial in less of the tape effect instead so it becomes important that the plugin has good support for being subtle.
You missed the chance to add a 'winding up' effect like in softubes tape start, but if you had the variable times on that like the stop does it'd be a step ahead - in a potential update maybe?
They used it because it was all they had if they could’ve been using digital and daws they would’ve! if you look up any old engineers that worked with this equipment, they’ll tell you they despised using this equipment and the sound it gave!
I have softube tape and I think this adds more features with the noise and EQ shelf. I will use it as part of my tracking chain where I’m hitting the Neve 5254 then the Toft EQ and this as a sweetener.
HAHAHA Sorry....you say warmth what do you mean by warmth like cozy??? The whole point of tape in studios is the resolution it has to even be considered good enough to put music on, many other tape machines even the ones you can buy today do not have enough resolution to put a full mix on, it has to do with the size of the tape and the speed it can record. you won't find a consumer 15 ips tape deck or recorder on the market. :) The J 37 does have nice saturation though! I like it very much and I put it on all tracks to work like they did in the old times
Lena!! I waited so long to see you again🥰
Very happy with Tape Mello Fi … I doubt I would want anything else at this point for these purposes. And it was free!

Bought Icondrum today before I could even blink.

@@Guitarisforgrins ups, yes 🙂
Love arturia, got collection and fx 5 and I will get this too
I thought this was hardware, I was so excited
sounds great
Doesn't come with FX 5 included if i upgrade?
It sounds great. just bought it. Now repeat after me: "Stooder ... Stooder ... Stooder"
Is that drum loop the beginning of the Doug theme song?
🔥 I can't wait
How is this different/better than Waves J37?
It is not Waves.
For EFX 5 bundle users, the price of crossgrade should be even less. $49 is too much.
is there a dry/wet mix feature? I didn't see it, but maybe I missed it

I think a trim of a last one is set too high. You drive it twice, which is not nice :(
Is this available on spark?
Is high cpu consume? 13%!

I own an emulation of the Beatles j37 from abbey Road . I don’t need another one That cost 99 quid

That voice and accent tho 😍
All I can hear is nasty woolly distortion, like somebody's blown a speaker cone. Should I be excited about that? One for the chin-scratchers I think.
They've driven it too much. Just it
This is exactly what I need!! I no longer have reason to use products from others plugin developers now.
why is everything clipping in BYPASS MODE ????
Way to go after waves, lol
Everyone should go after Waves, shady company

Did she say “studder” ? Have I been saying it wrong for 50 years?
Nope you haven't. They published the video allowing her to say 'studder"
I already own 5 different tape plugins, am I gonna watch it? hell yeah, but not for the plugin.

I didn't see a ring on her finger
