After watching this video, I've learned so many significant things about the ORIGIN OF CRIMINOLOGICAL THEORIES. Where I learn a lot of important lessons and knowledge about classical, neo-classical and positivist/chicago. Lastly, I've learned that freedom isn't just for me but, rather for all of us. That's why we should treat each other just like what we want to be treated. Because I do believed in the saying that "FREEDOM IS NEVER GIVEN BUT IT IS AN ABILITY TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT!"

After watching this video, the school of thoughts of criminology, I gained more learnings about the classical, neo-classical, and positivist. It tackled that every person has rights and free will. And do not commit the crimes for which you now serve the sentence and punishment. Therefore respect every person that you encountered so that you received respect to.
After watching this , I've gained a lot of valuable lessons and understanding regarding the ORIGIN OF CRIMINOLOGICAL THEORIES, including classical, neo-classical, and positivist/chicago theories. Finally, I've realized that freedom is for all of us, not just for me. As a result, we should treat each other as we would like to be treated. To be fresh and refresh of our mind we need to put in our brilliant and goldy brain that all of us born sinner, don't forget that, but one thing to do is to stop being sinner because not only human action are govern by nature but even human passion.
As far as we know that individual have the right which need to be respected by society, if someone can't respect individual that's the reason why crimes and criminality exist in our country not in Philippines but in a whole world where the place involved in crimes.
Two things that catch in to my mind are the naturalism and spiritualism where the backbone is formed of its crime causation. It is also known as the deterministic approach to crime caution. These ideologies altogether excluded the individual responsibility in the commission of the crime.

In this video i've learned the three differents schools of thought in Criminology. In Criminology, social philosophers first gave their thought to different ideas about crime and law during the mid-18th century. I've learned also that people have right to do what he wants to do in a good way and the right to be respected in a society. And no matter how bad a person is , one should not be punished and given a chance to change.thats all

With individual freedom, we are all moral creatures opting between good and bad. Anybody has rights in which society has to be respected can thus be punished unreasonably severely without any torture or institution. For this objective, criminals have different behavior and different types of character that leads them to commit crime. This video is such an insightful.

Introduction to Criminology also have this topic during the face to face class but yet those are not enough for me to keep on learning. However watching and listening with this vedio helps me understand the topic well because this topic was well delivered. The vedio presention classify that the classical school of criminology holds that Every individual are capable of commiting crime, since they are being pursue with their own self interest. It means that its their personal choice to engage in crime warrants their punishment, while my understanding about the neo classical school of criminology is that they are less of punitive tone and they seek to rehabilitate people who commited crime.

In this video, Ive learned the importance of the classical, neo- classical, and positivist school's of thought in criminilogy. Neoclassical theories assume that people will make a rational choice to commit crime. The major difference between the two theories are that classical school is mainly based on free will and suggests that crime as a choice, whereas positivism criminology argues that crime is not a choice.

So the Schools of thoughts in Criminology, there are (3) main schools of thought in early criminological theory, and this are Classical, Neo-classical, and Positivist. But they had different ideas or believed how crime and the punishment.
And I like the Classical because they believed that crime is a choice and the punishment should fit the crime it's like "blood for blood", and also as human we had the rights and freedom living in this society.

I learned that classical school assumes that people have free will and that they choose to commit crimes while neo-classical school argued that situations or circumstances that made it impossible to exercise freewill are reasons to exempt the accused from conviction and the positivist/chicago school of thought maintained that crime as any other act is a natural phenomenon and is comparable to disaster or calamity.

my conclusion are While this 3 schools (classical, neo-classical and positivist/Italian school) are both criminology schools they had a different perspective or theory of how a crime has committed and what are the fitting measurements or punishment will be given.
Which means that the 3 schools had a different ways but the 3 had a similar understanding of a crime.

I've learned that there are three school of thought(classical, neo- clasisical, and positivist).
The main proponent of classical school of criminology is Cesare Beccaria and jeremy bentham, Cesare Beccaria states that people have a free will to choose between good and evil. And if people commit crime they are responsible of there own choices. Neo classical school of criminology says that children and other people with disorders if commit crime, they are free from punishment. Positivist school of thought focus on criminal rather than the crime.

The most important lesson that I gained on that certain topic is the 3 main school's of thought on criminological theories (18th-20th Century) Which are the Classical school, Noe-classical, Positivist/Chicago. Classical School focusing on Rationality, Hedonism, Punishment, Human rights, Legality. Neo- Classical focusing on the circumstances that made it impossible to exercise freewill are reasons to exempt the accused from conviction. Positivist focusing on natural phenomenon and comparable to disaster or calamity. Social and moral phenomenon cannot be treated and checked.

As what I've learned in this vedio that all of us have freedom that should respected on our society.
So i learned that Positivist refers to the neoclassical school of criminology, which came after the classical school. Neoclassical criminology focused on individual rights, due process, alternative sentencing and legal rights. So, neoclassical theory suggests crimes need due process of the law.

The topic was about the schools of thoughts in criminology. The three main schools of thoughts are the classical, neo classical and positivist. The schools explain the origin of criminal behavior.
I learned the different theories of the schools of thoughts.
The classical theory maintains that the man is essentially a moral creature with absolute "free will" to choose between good and evil. Therefore, stress is placed upon the criminal himself that every man is responsible for his action. While the Neo classical schools argued that circumstances that made it impossible to exercise "free will" are the reasons to exempt the accused from conviction.
Lastly is the positivist school the proponent also argued the doctrine of "free will" that criminals should be held morally responsible for their crimes because they must have made a rational decision to commit crime. There were three (3) main types of positivism the Biological Positivism, Psychological positivism and lastly Social Positivism.
