I just... this would’ve been the perfect pack for bunk beds. Like, that’s literally two beds and saves so much space? Or even the “bunk beds” that’s just one bed that you can put a desk under?!

fawnguts i mean it’s not really her fault, i don’t get why the devs wouldn’t put them in, especially when everyone’s asking.
That bunk bed trick doesn’t work for me at least, they can’t get into the bed
@@maxrat8745 The update to terrain broke the MOO faux bunk bed workaround. It's been broken for months lol. Pretty sure Steph Aucello was talking about the developers, although they explained why they didn't make bunk beds, loft beds, or ladders (it would've taken more resources to do the animations.) Hopefully, they'll add these into a free update eventually or an expansion pack.
I think it‘s all about the animations. That’s also the reason why we got no ladders.

Cassidy I'm guessing her odd choices is the result of talking to us while she's building, she's not quite as focused on what she's doing.
It's a really cute house though. Oh and imagine how much easier this challenge would be with a few bunkbeds... 😜
17:40 these lights are inspired by the original lamps from tiffanys (known for their jewelery). This designe was very popular from the 20's up to the end of the 20th century and they are really expensive, so till today they are kind of status symbols. So you've propably seen them in many granny houses or expensive hotels :)

You don’t need tiles to get to high doors, you can put a stair straight to it!
GamingWithJay it looks exactly the same. The stairs can create, if extended, a fake tile.

*PSA FOR A DOUBLE BED AGAINST A WALL:*
For two sims to sleep in the bed together, assign a side to each sim. Then what you have to do is click the “Zzz” circle on the needs panel and they will auto-route to the bed and will slide over and go to sleep. That’s the only way I’ve been able to make to work. It’s not ideal but it worked 9 times out of 10 for me. Also, it only would work when their sleep need was at least in the yellow, otherwise they would just route to the couch to take a nap. If it glitches or doesn’t work, cancel the action and do it again. Hope this helps someone!

I gonna download it just to fix it.
I tried the "sink, shower and toilet" in one tile and it works, BUT you can't enclose it. I just put curtains there and deleted the wall afterwards😜 she used two (?) And still didn't enclose it 🙈
Some suggestions since I started getting *very* frustrated watching this:
1. Use a closed staircase so sims can’t see through. Solves all of those problems instantly.
2. Sims can’t fill the pet bowl there bc the stairs are in the way. Move it to near the clock.
3. Instead of lamps on every bedside table, use the small group of books so sims can use it as a bookcase. Or a tablet even? More playable options than lamps.
4. Use the 1 tile space upstairs for a desk not an armchair. This is a better use of space for a computer or homework station.
5. Add a stool chair to the living room space. It doesn’t take up a lot of room so it can be placed in the corner of the sofa and wall. Sort of overlapping the sofa but still usable. Adds an extra seat easy.
6. The shower doesn’t have to be on the back wall over the sink if you add the extra tile like you did. You can put it on the extra tile sideways so the sim walks past it to get to the toilet. That way the sim won’t be showering in the sink and toilet.
7. You still have a garden. Skill building can be added there like flower arrangement table, woodworking, witchcraft, etc.

I was very frustrated by the overhanging roof that she (I believe) never fixed seen at 12:13
& the door of the bathroom could've been on the side so that the dining table can stand more straight / or placed a bedroom
And you can have ceiling by selecting the room and clicking on the yellow line above it, it doesnt count as tiles if you do it this way ;)
I honestly hate when simmers don't put game play stuff in their houses but a bunch of lamps and clutter. Like when she deleted the popcorn machine 🙄 It's great and all if it looks cute, but so useless and boring for playing with it if there is nothing to do.

The Podcast Where I Talk About Stuff! Yeah, they really failed there because you still need the space to fold it down. So it doesn’t really save any space. Miss the bunkbeds in sims 3 when you could have like 8 kids sleeping in bunk beds all the same room. I also used to make twins so they had one bed together :)

You are so talented girl! But I don't think you can sleep with 2 sims at the same time in the bedroom downstairs. The sims can't walk around the other side of the bed... But this build is so cosy and sweet! I love it!
the sims can shuffle from one side of the bed to the other, it’s just a bit annoying if the one closer to the wall wants to wake up as both sims have to get out of bed
They can it's just annoying. I think they can get it with the bed in 3 tiles.
@@MsPink0769 Yup with 3 tiles double beds work if you alt place them in the centre of the 3 tiles.

You should try to build the art style "rooms" in the community voted stuff pack vote to se how close we can get with the other pack's that we already have! 😁
This reminds me of the weasleys house
When I was a kid I had a nightmare about 2 twins, I think they looked like the twins in the other class in my grade but as we never spoke I didn't know them at all aside from them being twins.
Anyway, so in the nightmare, to being able to see who was who, their parents had decided to give one all blue things and clothes and the other just red things and clothes. But the twins had a secret! Red!Twin's favorite color was actually blue and Blue!Twin preferred red. So one day they talked and decided to wear their favorite color, but then their parents and everyone they knew thought they were the other. So they had to decide whether to follow their heart and use their favorite color and lose their identity and the relationships they had built up so far or live unhappy with colors but still having their relationships intact..!
It was quite the existencal crisis dream for a 6-year-old and I woke up before they made up their mind...
I am so confused!

I agree. I love listening to her talk, her voice is very soothing to me, but also I’ve noticed that when some people do speed builds they go off subject from the build which is annoying to me.

The little pet corner was so cute. It reminded me of my dog, who passed away four years ago, because in our old home he had a little room under the stairs for himself. And in another house he had his place under the stairs too. Thank you, Deli, for some sweet memories. :)

I think if u do it right it looks okay as realistically in my house its 2x2 in the sims with the toilet and sink right next to eachother. So using the toilet and sink next to eachother in the sims is like a think i constantly to as i think.its more realistic

For the bathroom to work with 1 tile you can't put a door or anything in there, you have to delete the wall and just use curtains, then it should work😄

This house really reminds me of a bed and breakfast for some reason. I think it's the tiny, colour coordinated rooms with two beds that gives me that vibe.
I used to be a real estate agent and I would do a lot of house tours. A lot of the houses were old and vintage looking, and this build totally reminds me of them! Very tiny but cute and quaint and very historic. Especially the radiators!

This is so cute!! It reminds me of a 90s home during the time all the Victorian throwback stuff was really popular. The lamp you mentioned, I remember EVERYONE having one. My mom even bought a similar styled light fixture for our old kitchen.
I love the color scheme! Mint and pink are my fav colors!
You can place stairs a tile away from a door on foundation and it automatically builds a platform that isn't technically tiles.
What they have a radiator from the vampire pack?! I never noticed that, haha that is so cute!! Love the tiny living build videos!

Usually at a pool or back at school or something and go to the ladies' toilets and the walls are either waist high or there aren't really any dividers and there's just loads of stalls around but it's so communal.
I also go through phases of getting the horrible chewy, crumbly teeth falling out. I hate those, I'm always so relieved when I wake up.
Weirdest dream I had: hair was growing in my eyeball. It was painful. DreamMe hated it. AwakeMe hates it too.

I tried a few of these challenges and found half walls and them false walls/ privacy screens are your friends and make the house look bigger. With the rooms I made bunk beds using elevation key and for like a teen room I did two double beds like bunk beds with posts and curtains to make it look like it's a fancy bed in a small house. Space saving.
Well, they can't even have a pet if there are 8 sims tho. Hehe.
I want to try this challenge too though, seems hard to make anything nice and functional.
One tile space next to 2nd floor stairs. My thoughts: Oh, good. A great space for a dresser next to the bedrooms. Deli: A great place for a chair.
you could just put a normal height wall for the bathroom by the stairs because the wall you put down isnt actually under the stairs.... so there’s really no reason to use the half wall

Just imagine how much more room the master could have (can they even woohoo in there?) if they had given us bunk beds! There could even be bathrooms without showers over the sinks. :D
Such a missed opportunity from EA. The house looks good though! I love the dollhouse aesthetic. I’ve lived in some old houses with bedrooms about as big as those ones. Lol
If you assign a sim to the left side of the bed which happens to be against the wall, they will sit on the bed and slide over to the left side. It has worked so much better for me since downloading university and being able to assign sims to their beds.
It works btw, but you have to put some curtains or anything as the "devider" and then you have to delete the wall itself. That makes it usable as a single tile bathroom😊 (edit; the bathroom)
Tents. You have them, use them. You also have outdoor toilets, the public ones. use them too. Saves tonns of space.

This build is adorable! It's a shame most of these comments are on about "....I was screaming at my computer when she did this..." Sheesh. I guess the sims 4 really attracts the control freaks. Deli, continue being you, you're awesome and talented! It sucks that so many ppl can't recognize that. They're too busy complaining on how you could've done something differently. Get a life y'all.
Deli, the stairs will form a platform at the top on their own if you place them one square away from the wall instead of on the wall, that way you aren't using tiles for a patio.

For the 1x1 bathroom, you put the wall in front. Then you use m.o.o. to put a curtain against the wall, and delete the wall to leave the curtain in front of the bathroom. That's what Stephanie (Simarchy) and I do. :)

Deli! You can ALWAYS put a mirror in place of a dresser/wardrobe!☺️ And a mirror is better for skill building, as a dresser is not.

Hi Deli, here is another challenge : building the smallest house you can but with only what's necessary for your sims to live. Let's say for 2 or 3 sims. You can't have two objects to be used for the same need or skill, you can still decorate your house obviously. For example, you can't have an oven AND a microwave. Good luck ;)

What you call a 90's lamp is actually a Tiffany lamp. They became very popular in the mid 1800's to early 1900's. While some are still being made today, the original ones are quite valuable.
