I find it amazing that the AI in this is more artificial than intelligent. They never prioritize the dangerous weapons on the opposing ship. That Star Destroyer would've been doing even better if the missile launchers were targeted first.
Im actually a little disturbed by this. A Tector is suppposed to be a beefed ISD 2 with more guns. The precursor to the Allegiance class. it 'should' have won this fight...
It should have technically but the mod didn't give it the proper weaponry but lorewise your 100% correct Tector demolishes a ISD-2.
It’s a beefed ISD 1, actually. The main guns on the ISD 2 are also absurdly powerful.
A ISD 2 has
1.superior weapons
2.superior shields
3.superior hyperdrive
4.superior nav systems
5.superior fighters
6.overall superior since an tector stardestroyer is just an early version
Hmm I was expecting Tector to win, it has more armor protection than Imperial
To be fair, this isn’t a regular imperial I; ISD II are far superiority than their predecessor.
Yes, it has
But ai is bad
@@official_pol2198 Not by that much. Imp-2 has about 20% more reactor power than IMP-1. Tector sacrifices its fighter complement and ground troop complement for more firepower and protection. The fighter complement isn't a significant drain on ship resources but the large ground detachment and especially their armored vehicles and shuttles eat up a lot of resources and space in the imperials that could have been use to greatly increase space fighting power. So the tector not having to support that resource drain should increase its fighting power in space by 10 to 30% conservatively, if not much more. This should push it up to an even match or greater than the Imp 2 despite the older technology.
@@ryuukeisscifiproductions1818Yeah, by that much. A whole lot. Octuple turbolaser barbette cannons are no joke. what the ISD 2 is known for, just to name a few. Tectors only have better armor and more light and med weapons. ISD 2s are more modern, as were the refit ISD 1s.
No fighter support? The fighters contained within the ship at spawn should, at least in my mind, be part of its complement in 1v1 fights, since that that’s what it always brings to the table.
in 1v1 fighters are useless, because their AI doesn't always detect the enemy and because of this fact they will simply spin next to the ship that spawned them
@@cinematicnpc Also the fact that the Tector doesn't even get fighters 💀
@themightykv-5410 that was the point. Tector was meant to be a 1 trick pony. Anti-capital ship combat. No fighters, no ground troop capacity, every piece of the ship was armor, stronger weapons. Pushing the design to its absolute limit as a capital ship fighter. It can't even defend itself against starlight erst, at least ISD had some anti starlight error weapons, not great but still existed, unlike Tector.
