Also Steam is not giving me free games every month. So I think they try to balance it there a little bit. But you are right. Epic and GOG free games and (time to time Steam freebies) still worth more.
I don't remember Steam having access to all of Sony/Nintendo's exclusive titles either. The answer is PC for multiplat and PS5 and Switch for those exclusives.
When I was watching the monitor screen, it reminded me of this time my friend tried to watch a comparison of a 1080p tv compared to a 4K tv, on his 720p iPhone
The problem is Teraflops isn’t a perfect measurement. It’s used every time a new console comes out to showcase how ‘powerful’ they are. However every time it’s actually tested, this isn’t the case. Clock speed of the GPU, the type and amount of VRAM and actual architecture of the GPU matter way more in real life application than “teraflops”. Just wanted to put this here because as a PC UA-camr I believe you should have said something about how teraflops aren’t a measurement used for the purpose the Sony’s marketing is using it for. Thanks for listening to my ted talk
"for specs that powerful , you would normally find that in a 800$ dollar computer" me: mike wazoski with sullys face because i recently built a 700$ pc
Built a pc for $500 dollars with a ryzen 5 3600, gtx 1660, 16gbs ram, 500w power supply, a320 motherboard, cooler master case, 500gb ssd, 1terabyte hhd
Even though it’s $555 instead of $500, I don’t see a ps5 editing videos and checking discord or streaming with obs etc etc. even though a gaming pc is “meant” for gaming, it’s still a computer, so it can do a hell of a lot other things that the ps5 can’t lol
The question is wether you want to do that. I personally buy consoles specifically because I want a system that is just for gaming and nothing else (ok except maybe for Netflix). My favorite gaming device right now is Nintendo Switch. It's plug and play and super convenient. I do work on my Laptop, don't need a PC rig for that
@@teehundeart You can just put your OS on a M.2 SSD, and it'll load programs faster than the PS4 can load games. There's frontends like Launchbox and GOG Galaxy that can be used to load games from different launchers and emulators in one location. Not to mention that a custom built PC offers better remote play capabilities than either PS4 or Xbox since console manufacturers tend to cheap out on network cards. With all that in mind, a PC can be made to be more convenient than a console. With a frontend and a fast SSD, I can go from loading Dark Souls 3 to MegaMan Battle Network to Virtual On to DMC 5 to God Hand which is a process that would require me to constantly swap out my consoles. In my opinion, eliminating the process of swapping out consoles just to play different games is the ultimate form of convenience. With that said, I'm not hating on your gaming preferences, brother. I like gaming on the Switch, and No More Heroes 3 is my most anticipated game of the year. Astral Chain, BOTW, and Fire Emblem 3 Houses are among my favorite games this gen.
The specs are too good to be cheap though, and there's a lot you cant do with a PS5 that you can do with a PC so I still don't see it as a real competitor especially cause you can never upgrade it.
Games do matter but if those games are on a PC, Xbox or PS then you will get a way better experience that what you can on a Switch. If you prefer a Switch then more power to you.
@King Graveth Why would a pc user make fun of a nintendo switch user? If your going to buy a switch you know damn well that its not going to give you 240 frames. Rather like you said they buy it for the portability and the games where you can't get anywhere else.
I used to be a console pleb and I’m tempted to buy a Ps5 but I think PC will still be better as it’s a multifunctional workstation and not just a *play* station
the only reason anyone would buy a console is if all they do is gaming, its pc master race for a reason, because even lower end pcs can do more shit then a brand new console.
Ralston Metz lol pc gaming still is better more options like any input of your liking modding small dev games that aren’t on console lol console only does gaming and still does it worse omegalul
Consoles are back to being the better bang for your buck for gaming but when you have a pc you have more then just a gaming device which should come into consideration when talking prices and $
Andrew Marsh PC components are only expensive if you’re a smoothbrain that buys them on Amazon for full MSRP during the high season, true men of culture like myself know how to get brand new PC components for less than a used console (and more powerful than the console). If you get used components from the right source, you might as well be playing games for free.
Also don't have to pay 50 bucks a year to play online. It screws you over long term and I would have to go out and buy a 4K display which I don't want to do...
Not last generation. If I’m correct, both Xbox One and PS4 earned 18 dollars per unit on release. As years go on, production costs get cheaper, so they eventually earn a considerable sum
@@Basidus258 each unit can earn, but that cannot include RnD costs. It's the ongoing game sales and yearly console revenue that is required to justify that investment
You gotta keep in mind that more teraflops doesn't completely translate to better gaming performance - a gtx 1070 outputs about 6.5 teraflops, yet has very similar performance to a 1660ti
@@ryanhealey1300 it is tho, the Series X is throwing 100+ fps in gears 5 at 4k 'beyond' ultra, MS also stated that it was an early port and no optimization was made
I'm impressed with the price to performance of this build. But it's very far from matching a PS5. 1) The PS5 digital edition is the correct comparison to a PC without bluray drive and that's launched for $399 MSRP 2) 240GB bottom of the barrel SATA SSD vs. Sony's 800GB super-fast SSD? Beyond laughable. 2.5) Depending on which game you want to play, you'll only fit a single game like COD: Modern Warfare (2019) with its 175GB install size on the SSD. Have fun. 3) That R5 1600 isn't close to cutting it, the most equivalent CPU is a R7 3700X 4) TFLOPS is a terrible way of measuring GPU power because it does NOT translate into FPS. 5) Both GPUs only do 6GB VRAM, that's not going to be enough to match PS5 on textures and shadow quality 5.5) Only the RTX 2060 actually supports ray tracing to put it on feature parity with the PS5 in that regard, putting you way over budget 6) Nor is 8GB RAM going to be good enough for some games and measly 2666 MHz will actually cost you a fair bit of performance 7) A $40 case is miserable to build in 8) The video outright says to get a PSU secondhand from a friend. DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON YOUR PSU!
@@Steamrick thanks..saved me the trouble of writing all of that myself. i mean the guy basically weaseled his way out of the comparison with that ''TFlops'' bullshit. That PC he built is around 150 dollars more expensive than a PS5 and is nowhere near as good in terms of Case, PSU, RAM, CPU, SSD. GPU is the only thing that's close to PS5 performance. I mean PS5 plays DMC5 on 4K 60 FPS with RT mode On. Hits 4K(Dynamic) 120 but RT off. good luck to that PC matching that. copied most of your comment to make my own comment. again thanks for your effort.
what super fast ssd. a 7200 rpm 50 dollar hdd loads rdr2 faster than ps5. "fast ssd". I am a student. I have to do school work. My father built me this pc which I game on spare time. I don't have money to buy games. Pirate until I earn money. That ray tracing is software ray tracing. Nvidia rtx gpus have dedicated cores for ray tracing. Compared to the shit looking ray tracing .
@@alex360c then what should I do ? oh ohh rdr2 doesn't have patches. I was not aware of a patch in my pc. In raw performance ps5 ssd is shit. If even hdd is more faster than ps5 which ps fanboys claims to has the faster ssd than those ssd manufacturers whose division is solely make ssds, then I dunno what I will say.
its supposed to match performance not "be the ps5". Anyways the parts aren't as good as you think they are. everyone always hypes up the consoles so much when they end up being garbage lol
Hmmm, I would buy it cause it's a good deal but I don't want to be spending a lot of money right now. I'll give you a like so more people see it to help you out, good luck
I think the main reason they are mad is because people own these kind of computers that cost way more than a PS5 but then when it was announced to be $400 everyone got mad not because they don't like consoles but because they would rather have a computer but they can't afford it.
@@sauceontheside2804 nah its straight up impossible, And its not fair to compare a brand new ps5, to some used parts that are 2 years old. Also its not just the system, remember that you get a very advanced controller finally exceeding the switch controller, which up to now had been the most advanced controller in the world. Also, you get an HDMI cable so for what it's worth I think its good to mention it. Im going to love pc channels trying to scramble their words to make it seem they built a pc as powerful as the ps5, for the same price. Keep in mind they are not allowed to use a gpu without rt cores, because the ps5 does support ray tracing. Once a youtube shows me a build that performs better than the ps5 and with the controller, I shall say they are better value. And it cant be one of those stupid videos showing a game running at low settings and getting higher fps than console, because I just saw one trying to say they had just built a pc for 250 and it was more powerful than the series x because it could do fortnite 1080p low settings and get 165fps, then when I commented to try epic settings at 4k and see what fps he would get there, his response was that no one plays that way : D. Ok I have written a fucking book what is wrong with me
Vendetta thank you somebody finally agree with me there is no way that you could build a pc for the same price and get the same results in this time (especially because the prices for things went up due to coronavirus) (except ram that is dirt cheap) I will make the statement that I would rather want a computer than a PS5 but for someone who is literally 14 years old that is kind of an issue
Honestly being able to run windows at full speed is what sells pcs for me. I would keep a 1650 and an i3 just so I can run windows and have all my emulators and steam games.

"There has never been a moment in history when buying a console was better than building your own pc" uhhh I love pc gaming but there's many times in history when consoles made more sense. i know not a lot of people care about retro stuff now but this was absolutely not the case early on in games. When gaming was still primarily 2D, PCs simply didn't have the graphics horsepower to do fast, smooth scrolling because of specialized hardware on NES and other consoles of that era. When Sonic was zooming at 60fps, platformers were basically impossible on PC. Commander Keen was a huge step forward. It wasn't til 3d games came that pcs started to make more sense, with doom being the real showcase. It wasn't til recently that the libraries of consoles and PCs were similar. If you're a JRPG fan like I am, a PS2 back in the day made a ton more sense because uh jrpgs didn't come to pc. When consoles typically come out, they're usually better buys than PC because console makers subsidize the hardware with accessories and games, while having high end hardware. the 360 back in the day was a great buy in regard to price to performance, with the 360's GPU being faster than the fastest Nvidia Card (7800 GTX) out at the time and cheaper for an example. PCs being a better buy than console is a relatively new phenomenon. This generation with Xbox One and PS4 is honestly a bit of an exception rather than the rule
*nods* The only time PC had consoles clearly beat is with the PS4/Xbox One. Both going with PC hardware (from AMD) made comparing it to PCs easy and the comparison didn't look good. They went with a plain bad laptop CPU and a mid-range graphics cards - and the price wasn't even that good, I think these were also the first consoles ever from Sony/MS that sold with a profit on every unit since day one. They both cheaped out and made very mediocre consoles. Other times it was either in a bit of a grey area where something could be said for either side or consoles were straight up simply better. And thankfully after that weird one off we're back to the consoles being up there with high end PCs. Give it a year or two and midrange PCs will likely offer similar performance and for the remaining 8 years after that whilst we're waiting for the PS6/XBox something PCs will have consoles beat again.
@@Axeiaa???? The GPU in the next gen consoles 8s equivalent to the 5700/5700xt, Wich is a mid- high end card .. the cpu is a downclocked Ryzen 3700, so more like a 1700/2700... Those specs you can get for around 800 full build. Still an amazing price/performance for the ps5 . But saying it is high end??? Not really
Have fun trying to build something like this in Canada, we might as well be a third-world country when it comes to availability and price of PC parts. This is a big reason why I enter like a million giveaways for PC parts, everything is so expensive so winning just about *anything* would be a great start towards building a new PC.
Yeah facts bro us Canadians are struggling i just upgraded from a i3 6100 and 150 to a i7 6700k and 2060 super and just those two parts alone were over 1000$
7:26 i'm pretty sure you got that wrong, the 1660 ti has 10.87 TFLOPS at FP16 (which is half) but just 5.437 TFLOPS at full FP32, while the PS5 has 20.58 TFLOPS at FP16 and 10.29 TFLOPS at FP32 (according to techpowerup.com) so it has half the theoretical performance and since you're using just 8gb of ram it will not be able to compete at all edit: and you were getting 60-100 fps at 1080p while the ps5 should get 4k60 and maybe even 120
Let's just remember 2 things though, the fact that you don't have to pay $80 yearly to play, and that the PC can also be used for studying and schoolwork for students. And just about everything else for everyone else
i love how you werent shitting on the ps5 or consoles in general the whole video like others usually do, good video man. pc is def better for a lot of things but consoles have their upsides
Let's get one thing straight, having owned the ps4 for 7 years with the £45 yearly subscription and the additional price I've payed for the games being more expensive compared to steam It's cost me £1100 over 7 years to enjoy my PS4 and that only plays game nothing else really so might as well spend a few hundred more and get a pc that'll be more useful for tasks and work
the games are cheaper on console if you buy them used and sell them back. also you dont have to wait for pc sales. the real advantage pc has with the games is you can pirate them for free.
It's not hard to beat a PS5...IMO. I think its cool what the PS5 is going to do...But I know that even my pc is better than it. Hell I'd be willing to argue that my pc will be more powerful than the series X. (Feel free to call me a "PC Elitest") The thing is, with pc gaming, you can meet the performance or exceed that of a console.
A few things: 1. the 1600 for $105 is the AF model so its basically a slightly lower clocked 2600. It is a 2000 series cpu even though it has a 1000 series name and is the smaller nm architecture. 2. I'd recommend grabbing the ASRock B450M Pro4 for $80. Much better mobo and can overclock. Plus its a 400 series board instead of the 300 series board. So that is an extra $25 to spend on it instead of the better GPU. As someone who has had two 300 series boards, they are not that good and have stability issues. 3. From #2, you can grab another set of sticks bringing the ram to 16GB. So that's another $30 there. Possibly less since youd be buying a pack of four rather than two packs of two.
I agree with your first two points, but I wouldn't buy two kits of 2x4gb for 16gb. I understand there's a small increase in price, but if you want 16gb then get a 2x8gb kit with better timings, say 3000mhz cl15, and it'll run at its xmp more reliably than having 4 sticks. That way you have room for an upgrade to 32gb in the future.
@FamlyFrendlyUsername they believe 144 4k because that is the max potential. People are going to be spoon pissed when it is 30fps 4k and 60fps 1080p. Games are extremely hard to play at 4k 144 on 1500 systems, try that on a fucking minifridge
500 dollars for a really good ps5 me: damn, now if only I didn't have to buy online ps5 to play online which eventually adds up... Edit: it seems I've started some kind of pc console war in the comment section... if you guys want my take since I have a pc owned a ps2 Xbox 360 and on weekends I go to my cousins which have 2 ps4. Nintendo switch with like 15+ games (60$ each lul Nintendo), Xbox one with the game pass. My take is console has definitely become more viable of an option but is really hard for me to choose as a pc player who doesn't like yearly or monthly stuff which add up (would take a big chunk of my money which id rather save up for the next thing id buy whether that be pc or something. and don't have parents who'd by a switch game on a whim +3 Nintendo consoles that my cousin's tiny brother destroyed) id rather just collect free games from epic games (which overall have been better than ps4, xbox one, Nintendo switch "free games" still pretty gud *sometimes*) and save up money for masterpieces which I can buy for dirt cheap and complete such as dungeon which I got for 5$ on sale and sometimes I hear bundles are good but don't tend to be on the lookout. Also checked today that the game pass is on both console and pc and without a dought one of the best deals for short term to me (maybe create multiple accounts to keep getting that 1$ deal on games which progress isn't a priority) overall when it comes to discord, youtube, email. gaming etc. is a lot more convenient as you can have things running and playing on the background and foreground seamlessly. I want to add more of what I think are the pros and cons of each console, pc whatever but on a finished note, il say me and my brother are saving up around 1000$+ in which well buy a new pc and do a build where i will document what is the best price/quality u can get for the money we have at the time for our purposes... *If your read trough this far thank u =)*
500 for the console, plus 300 for 5 years of ps plus (60$ a year, for five years which will probably be the time until a new one gets announced)= 800$, in addition to 120 free games. Sounds like a good deal to me.
"Can *insert new console here* kill PC gaming?" People have been "asking" this for the last 30 years or so and the simple answer is no. Even if the new generation of consoles somehow manage to be leaps and bounds ahead of the most expensive gaming PCs (which console makers and their fanboys claimed would happen with all of said previous consoles and yet they never were; it's almost like console manufacturers overhype their systems' capabilities before launch to drive sales), as long as there are people who want a versatile system that can do a massive number of different computing tasks and also play a huge library of games from the dawn of video gaming to present without having to buy another version of the same game you played years ago because it's no longer compatible with your new console, PC gaming is not going anywhere.
Thing is though. Until about 8-10 years ago. The PC library was abysmal. Only really offering up MMO's and a few other games that were actually worth playing. I remember the conversation being "With all of these game being ported over to PC. There won't be a reason to own a console." The only reason I like my ps4 is because of it's ability to unify my living room. One button and everything flips on. If I want to play a game cool. Movie, cool. UA-cam, cool. All in one proprietary setup. However the benefits of gaming on a PC extend far beyond anything that a console can do. With a little know how you can do anything with a PC. And that alone makes it worth it. My sons will have PC's over consoles for the sole reason that I want them to, at the least, learn how to do some front end and OOP(object oriented programming) A console can't offer things like that. Nor will they ever.
@@FlockofSmeagles the only genre that I would agree with you would-be platforming games because there was a good amount of MMO and FPS games in the early 2000s I actually treasure the early 2000s for PC gaming as it was before the DLC crap that happened in 2008 that made Developers think more greedy and saving the good stuff for the DLC training us to buy the DLC before it comes out to make more money
Came back here to send this video to my friend that was thinking about upgrading his ps4 to a ps5. So I put on an argument about getting a PC instead. I decided to stay and rewatch the video to refresh my memory. Thank you for this video!
According to the developers from “Deliver Us the Moon”, who are producing a game for the next-gen consoles and PC, the consoles perform close to a 2070 Super, and considering the specs, I’m expecting the CPU to be close to a 3700x, so this build isn’t a console killer unfortunately, and I don’t think a 2070 Super with a 3700x is an 800$ computer, for that we’ll have to wait until 2023-2024 to get a true console killer for 400$ (probably the PS5 price will drop to this value by then) And by the way, the RTX 2060 isn’t capable of 12 teraflops of 32-bit, I genuinely laughed when you said that, because the PS5 has 10.28 teraflops of 32-bit, while the RTX 2060 has 6 teraflops of that same metric, and 12 teraflops of 16-bit (the PS5 has 20.56 tflops of 16-bit) No hate towards your video, but I just wanted to leave this here
They’ve already said what the cpu is, it’s not comparable to a 3700x. Preforms worse, not saying it’s bad but it’s not a 3700x. And damn by 2024 console players will have already paid like $200 just to use their own WiFi lmao. Consoles can make their price so good for the hardware because it’s not a one time purchase, they can milk more money for years to come
@@Yorozuya4ever extra peripherals which are 100% optional, just like those 100$ mechanical keyboards that 60% of PC gamers buy just because of the RGB and sound
This is my POV, but I am and still have a lot to learn. So Sony is targeting 4k 120 FPS right? So they're expecting 1 everyone to have a 120Hz display, 2 they're doing this over HDMI? Doesn't HDMI 2.0 Limit to 4k 60Hz?
With this build, you could barely do 1440p 60fps with all settings low. The 2060 and 1660ti are great 1080p cards, and even then they struggle on some games at 1080 ultra. 11 months later, the PS5 and Series X are oceans better than this.
Something you missed is that the ps5 comes with a free controller. But the pc doesn’t come with a mouse and keyboard which is easily another 20-50$ on the absolute low end.
@Bear Omega dont think you guys will have rgb fans with sick ninja dudes fighting on your motherboard that's what I thought console peasant we know you guys cant afford to buy pc parts to multitask with gaming, watching vids, editing, etc

If you only game on a console, you won't be playing you're old games in your library and you have to pay for online and games are cheaper on pc. So when you buy ps plus for 5 years and the ps5, that's going to be 800 bucks. That's the price of a new pc, and you can do much more with a pc
800 USD upfront + Games is not the same as 800 USD across 5 years.. You can even sell your consoles and the games if your sick of it.. So technically Console are less heavy in the wallet.
Games I played in 2020 Residenevil 2 and 7 Skyrim Original ff 7 Styx Overwatch Assassin creed unity Overwatch Morrowind God of war three Dc universe online Old games.... Only new game I played was Jedi fallen order re 3 and free to play battle royal if that counts...also games aren’t cheaper on pc they just go on sale more often sometimes or sooner .... it depends. I know this because I’m a fiend for sales. This used to be true, it’s not anymore really. Example amnesia collection on console is 3 dollars this very moment and soul caliber delux edition was 20 buck last week, etc.
One thing I want to point out is consoles are sold at a loss and they regain that money with digital licenses like ps plus or xl gold, and if I can recall correctly, game creators have to pay to put their games on that specific platform but I don't remember if that's true or not
People need to stop being so dishonest when comparing consoles and PCs. The comparison MUST be limited to GAMING performance per unit of currency. Using the lame "well the PC also does more stuff beyond gaming" it is irrelevant, it would be like buying a fridge and then complaining that it doesn't cook food for you, of course it wouldn't! It's a specialized appliance. Also the whole peripherals thing is borderline asinine. You have to buy peripherals in both sides and no, an "el cheapo" mouse and keyboard just doesn't perform well enough for gaming to count it's like building a $1,000 PC rig then connecting the crappiest monitor you can get on Amazon. It will be a bad experience despite your PC specs. As you can see PC is a great platform with near infinite builds at as many price points. Now it's time to get real: Can you build a PC that destroys any consoles in performance? Yes if you have an unlimited budget. Can you build a PC that squeezes as much performance as a given console at its release time. No. Not when the PS3 Xbox 360 released, not when the Xbox one and PS4 released and NOT when this new gen releases. The combination of both console manufacturers eating some of the cost of the hardware and the specialized OS that is strictly designed for gaming gives consoles the edge in performance as does relative ease of use. (Game patches are managed by the system always and there is no need to have multiple launchers or storefronts on your machine.) Are consoles a better platform for gaming? NO As I said you can build a better PC if you have enough money. Ultimately the edge is about Price/performance and ease of use. In that regard consoles usually take the edge as people don't need to worry about input configurations or if the game will support his control method. This video is a great showcase of what the new console gen will bring vs a similarly priced PC build. The PS 5 for instance takes the crown with better overall hardware and better performance than the PC you saw on the video. Yee's build was playing at 1080p medium settings on that game (Valorant perhaps?) The PS5 can do probably do that detail level and performance at 1440p if not Max settings on 1080p. (Full disclosure:) This performance claim is of course theoretical, assuming the game runs on PS5 at all and we only have the preview videos of the other PS5 games to guesstimate the detail levels and performance potential of the hardware. Ultimately it's up to you. Do you have a bigger budget and you don't mind managing multiple storefronts and fiddling with the games setting to squeeze as much performance as possible? Get yourself a gaming PC Do you want to just game without much hassle, have a limited budget and don't want to wonder if you can run the games Get a console. We could argue further details like having to pay to play online on consoles and how cheaters are a very real problem on PC but it then gets too nuanced with both side sporting pros and cons.
You say the other stuff a pc can do doesnt matter but that might just be a deal breaker for a lot of other people. Being able to use it for studying is also a very important thing to me. I also prefer not being limited to a controller accuracy when playing games. I prefer being able to change settings to something i like more like making game look a little worse to see enemies easier. There's a big reason most of the really big e-sports rn are on pc. The only few e-sports i can think of that are on console are fighting games, racing games and call of duty
If you want to be as competitive as possible there's a good change that you play on pc now of if you just wanna game casually then sure u have the exclusives (btw sony already confirmed horizon zero dawn to be ported to the pc so who knows whats coming next) then by all means if that really important to you got for the ps5.
Reverse thinking: This is what I'm doing too. These are reasonable estimates: PS5 Controller: $60 PS5 NVME 850 GB: $170 PS5 4K Bluray: $100 (I just subtracted the one with optical minus the digital version.) A GPU that can handle games at 4k at good FPS: $350 A Motherboard: $150 A CPU and Fan capable of not bottlenecking the GPU: $250 A Case: $40 (Going really cheap here) A 4K HDMI cable (I think it's included...not sure): $15 Total is $1,135 so far and that is not counting on the fact the a lot of these components are custom small form factor parts to be crammed inside this case. We all know that those parts are pricier. Also, not counting on the fact the there has to be a tiny markup at least. Amazon and Best Buy have to make a little money, so a PS5 has to be less than $500 for those retailers. Also, keep in mind that many of us with PS4s will probably sell them for $150 or so because the PS5 can do backwards compatibility. So the customer will have some cash to offset much of the $500 cost. In summary, one heck of a bargain!!
@@SanLeMans this video is kinda bullshit coz the only specs you are looking at are fps, which are not the only things to look at. On PC we nearly all stucked at 1080 resolution while on next gen we ll reach the 4k. I'm not saying that the PS5/XBOX SX are better than a computer but in terms of hardware on the tim eit is cheaper, i got an xbox from 2013 and it works better on average than my 2019 laptop in every game. The major point for PCs is that we can do everything with it, play, work, watch things it has a way better accessibility. In terms the next gens are there for people who want quality and strengh in terms of hardware for huge games which will come out like cyberpunk 2077 and nearly everybody can afford a 500 console , the PCs are more turned for competitive games. The best we can do is buy both ;3
Kévin Pegny having a pc you pay for the premium of having long lasting high quality components which you can switch later on, you pay more to pay less, it’s an and investment, PC can easily go 4K 120+ FPS with not only better graphics but you pay being able to directly stream on it and multitask without it sounding like a vacuum cleaner. And honestly most people don’t have 4K monitors as tv’s let alone a 120hz one, 60hz at most. Plus when you pay for a pc it’ll look awesome and sexy with the Aesthetic of your likings, it’s customizable inside out, i mean custom watercooling tubes and cases cmon now.
The ps5 is overwhelmingly optimized and this is the case for the Xbox as well, most consoles do impressively well with significantly cheaper parts which is how the manufacturer keeps costs down while delivering decent performance. However for the first time ever, sony and Microsoft have spent just as much time and money on parts as they have on research and for this day and age, both 2020 consoles will be the best performance per dollar in my opinion and I'm a PC enthusiast
Agreed, the new Xbox systems are going to be even more competitive because Microsoft is taking on the subscription model. I prefer a PC to a console any day but it looks like for the average person this console generation is closing the gap even further. Competition! Gotta love it!
@@ItsNylrak yeah but they should do it how prebuilt pcs do it and put a fee on top of all the prices of the parts instead of fooling you into thinking it’s cheap
But In most countries you can't even get that pc close to 500, more like 700ish or more cuz of taxes. And you always get some rare deals that you can't get anymore or are hard to get. Personally I would buy ps5 over that PC(if it's 500) And this early it will be too hard to compete with ps5,XSX becouse of their low prices, after some time (2-3years) you will be able to buy PC for way cheaper and better specs. I have ps4 and PC and I use ps4 mostly for exclusives.
well come and calculate the amount of money you will pay just to play online like dude thats an extra 200$ for the next 4 years so it does pay off using those 200$ for a pc but tbh Idk whta country your in that takes 200$ taxes for a 500$ pc so yea
bro a good pc costs around 1,5k euro, in no world you''ll get a good pc for 500 shitty dollars, you can keep dreaming, but if you really want something good you'll have to drop at least 1k, no to mention the screen, a good screen costs 700 euro easy. you're probably better off buying a playstation if you don't have the money, cause tv's are super cheap nowaday.
The deal with console is that there are people that don't want to open their stuff because they don't know how to build a PC they just want to play games
@@crazymonkey60123 Pre builds are trash and if you want to do it right, it takes a lot of time, research and effort. Thats why the console market exists
even so a point still stands, the vast majority of enthuses who are going to buy the new consoles at launch are going to get ps plus and xbox live. you need these things to play online (for xbox every game) and for playstation most. considering that the fee of 60 usd a year that equates to 420 over a 7 year span the minimum time between the next "gen" consoles (like the ps6) considering that if we now take a budget of 920 usd for building a pc (because it doesn't cost jack to play online on pc) than you can build a better system and also take all the benefits of a pc, like you can do work on it, more variety of games just not present on console and the ability to play console exclusive games, like ps4 spiderman, or even like breath of the wild on pc. to this playstation players will make the argument that you get access to games through ps plus, however hypothetically if someone didn't want to play any of those games but wanted to play online they would need the pass, however this is unlikely and the argument is still valid that playstation plus is a benefit, on the xbox side of things xbox game pass is not an argument cause you can get it on pc as well and that also semi counters ps plus also giving a netflix type game selection thing but you don't need this to play online in general. look i am trying to wank pc's i don't care what you do its your money, i am just trying to present an argument that no one is considering this with all the other benefits of pc i still think its a better deal to get over the ps5 and xbox series x (ps5 digital too good value you cant beat it price to performance no matter what you do). the 920 build would be (prices might be jacked up right now for some parts). Cpu, Ryzen 3 3100 $100, Motherboard, ASRock B550M Pro4 mATX $95, RAM, GeIL EVO SPEAR DDR4-3200 $55, Seta SSD, Inland Professional 120 Gb 500/470 MBps $18, Hardrive, 2 Tb Seagate Barracuda $55, Video card, RTX 3070 Founders Edition $499, PSU, SeaSonic S12III 650 W 80+ Bronze $65 and a case with good airflow with the remaining budget.
I'm really curious where you're getting your tflop numbers from! I'm not saying you're wrong, but the numbers I've gotten are much different. I thought that the ps5 was about the same tflop wise as the 2080 super. I may be completely mistaken, so yeah. Just wondering where you get your numbers, thanks!
this statement makes no sense lmao its sony you dont think they got all them parts for dirt cheap from amd theres a thing called buying in bulk ....if they sold at a loss for making 60 dollars a year off your ps plus pass that still wouldnt make them a profit off their consols then
The first 6 seconds are already untrue. I love my PC. But what you are claiming is just false. At the time of the ps3 and ps4 , I couldnt get parts cheap enough compared to them. Even worse when the ps4s were selling for 200. That coupled with the fact that you got a controller and didnt need a mouse and keyboard purchase. Completely falsifies your claim.

5) Both GPUs only do 6GB VRAM, that's not going to be enough to match PS5 on textures and shadow quality
5.5) Only the RTX 2060 actually supports ray tracing to put it on feature parity with the PS5 in that regard, putting you way over budget

How am I the first like?🤔🤔🤔🤔
Rockmandash12 gt 730 was out then and can still run games on 60 fps low settings so no 7800 gtx was not the best
bro I’m not gonna read that
*nods* The only time PC had consoles clearly beat is with the PS4/Xbox One.
Not really

Yea but in south america for example a gtx 2080ti costs 2330usd do you think thats ok
7:26 i'm pretty sure you got that wrong, the 1660 ti has 10.87 TFLOPS at FP16 (which is half) but just 5.437 TFLOPS at full FP32, while the PS5 has 20.58 TFLOPS at FP16 and 10.29 TFLOPS at FP32 (according to techpowerup.com) so it has half the theoretical performance and since you're using just 8gb of ram it will not be able to compete at all

A few things:
1. the 1600 for $105 is the AF model so its basically a slightly lower clocked 2600.

Also checked today that the game pass is on both console and pc and without a dought one of the best deals for short term to me (maybe create multiple accounts to keep getting that 1$ deal on games which progress isn't a priority)
overall when it comes to discord, youtube, email. gaming etc. is a lot more convenient as you can have things running and playing on the background and foreground seamlessly.

There won't be a reason to own a console."
The only reason I like my ps4 is because of it's ability to unify my living room. One button and everything flips on. If I want to play a game cool. Movie, cool. UA-cam, cool. All in one proprietary setup. However the benefits of gaming on a PC extend far beyond anything that a console can do. With a little know how you can do anything with a PC. And that alone makes it worth it. My sons will have PC's over consoles for the sole reason that I want them to, at the least, learn how to do some front end and OOP(object oriented programming)
A console can't offer things like that. Nor will they ever.

And by the way, the RTX 2060 isn’t capable of 12 teraflops of 32-bit, I genuinely laughed when you said that, because the PS5 has 10.28 teraflops of 32-bit, while the RTX 2060 has 6 teraflops of that same metric, and 12 teraflops of 16-bit (the PS5 has 20.56 tflops of 16-bit)

Now it's time to get real:
Can you build a PC that destroys any consoles in performance? Yes if you have an unlimited budget.
Can you build a PC that squeezes as much performance as a given console at its release time. No. Not when the PS3 Xbox 360 released, not when the Xbox one and PS4 released and NOT when this new gen releases. The combination of both console manufacturers eating some of the cost of the hardware and the specialized OS that is strictly designed for gaming gives consoles the edge in performance as does relative ease of use. (Game patches are managed by the system always and there is no need to have multiple launchers or storefronts on your machine.)
Are consoles a better platform for gaming?
To long didnt read lulw chill get a life

You say the other stuff a pc can do doesnt matter but that might just be a deal breaker for a lot of other people. Being able to use it for studying is also a very important thing to me. I also prefer not being limited to a controller accuracy when playing games. I prefer being able to change settings to something i like more like making game look a little worse to see enemies easier. There's a big reason most of the really big e-sports rn are on pc. The only few e-sports i can think of that are on console are fighting games, racing games and call of duty
If you want to be as competitive as possible there's a good change that you play on pc now of if you just wanna game casually then sure u have the exclusives (btw sony already confirmed horizon zero dawn to be ported to the pc so who knows whats coming next) then by all means if that really important to you got for the ps5.
and he says 500 dollars for the ps5 (which if it is is a great value) but the price has not been confirmed yet
Reverse thinking:
This is what I'm doing too.
These are reasonable estimates:
PS5 Controller: $60
PS5 NVME 850 GB: $170
PS5 4K Bluray: $100 (I just subtracted the one with optical minus the digital version.)
A GPU that can handle games at 4k at good FPS: $350
A Motherboard: $150
A CPU and Fan capable of not bottlenecking the GPU: $250
A Case: $40 (Going really cheap here)
A 4K HDMI cable (I think it's included...not sure): $15
Total is $1,135 so far and that is not counting on the fact the a lot of these components are custom small form factor parts to be crammed inside this case.
With a PC you can still make upgrades along the way, unlike with PS5 where you would be stuck with the specs until newer generation ones come out.

People out here acting like they watched they video even though it got uploaded 5 mins ago😐
the thing is with the ps5 pricing they try to take your mind of how you have to pay 60$ a year for online and pay for
overpriced games
They have to take profit from somewhere
Offended?
@@ItsNylrak yeah but they should do it how prebuilt pcs do it and put a fee on top of all the prices of the parts instead of fooling you into thinking it’s cheap
But In most countries you can't even get that pc close to 500, more like 700ish or more cuz of taxes.
And you always get some rare deals that you can't get anymore or are hard to get.
Personally I would buy ps5 over that PC(if it's 500)
And this early it will be too hard to compete with ps5,XSX becouse of their low prices, after some time (2-3years) you will be able to buy PC for way cheaper and better specs.
@@darkviking6577 But in my situation I just have my ps4 for exclusives which are all singleplayer
@@od3stroyer771 not everyone plays those ps exclusives
bro a good pc costs around 1,5k euro, in no world you''ll get a good pc for 500 shitty dollars, you can keep dreaming, but if you really want something good you'll have to drop at least 1k, no to mention the screen, a good screen costs 700 euro easy. you're probably better off buying a playstation if you don't have the money, cause tv's are super cheap nowaday.
The deal with console is that there are people that don't want to open their stuff because they don't know how to build a PC they just want to play games
You can buy pre builds but building a PC is not as hard as people may think it is
@@crazymonkey60123 Pre builds are trash and if you want to do it right, it takes a lot of time, research and effort. Thats why the console market exists
@@crazymonkey60123 very true, there are plenty of videos to help. Or you can pay someone to build it for you. Way better than a pre built.
even so a point still stands, the vast majority of enthuses who are going to buy the new consoles at launch are going to get ps plus and xbox live. you need these things to play online (for xbox every game) and for playstation most. considering that the fee of 60 usd a year that equates to 420 over a 7 year span the minimum time between the next "gen" consoles (like the ps6) considering that if we now take a budget of 920 usd for building a pc (because it doesn't cost jack to play online on pc) than you can build a better system and also take all the benefits of a pc, like you can do work on it, more variety of games just not present on console and the ability to play console exclusive games, like ps4 spiderman, or even like breath of the wild on pc. to this playstation players will make the argument that you get access to games through ps plus, however hypothetically if someone didn't want to play any of those games but wanted to play online they would need the pass, however this is unlikely and the argument is still valid that playstation plus is a benefit, on the xbox side of things xbox game pass is not an argument cause you can get it on pc as well and that also semi counters ps plus also giving a netflix type game selection thing but you don't need this to play online in general. look i am trying to wank pc's i don't care what you do its your money, i am just trying to present an argument that no one is considering this with all the other benefits of pc i still think its a better deal to get over the ps5 and xbox series x (ps5 digital too good value you cant beat it price to performance no matter what you do). the 920 build would be (prices might be jacked up right now for some parts). Cpu, Ryzen 3 3100 $100, Motherboard, ASRock B550M Pro4 mATX $95, RAM, GeIL EVO SPEAR DDR4-3200 $55, Seta SSD, Inland Professional 120 Gb 500/470 MBps $18, Hardrive, 2 Tb Seagate Barracuda $55, Video card, RTX 3070 Founders Edition $499, PSU, SeaSonic S12III 650 W 80+ Bronze $65 and a case with good airflow with the remaining budget.
My mind: “I haven’t a clue what’s going on here, but I’ll act like I do!”
I am not reading that
or you can do a 14 day trial method to get free psn LOL
Send me a video where you can play ps4 spiderman on pc?

I'm really curious where you're getting your tflop numbers from! I'm not saying you're wrong, but the numbers I've gotten are much different. I thought that the ps5 was about the same tflop wise as the 2080 super. I may be completely mistaken, so yeah. Just wondering where you get your numbers, thanks!
As a 2080 super? No, 2080 super is at 11.1 compared to the 10.3 for ps5. This is coming from Sony thrmselves
@@thetf8142 rdna 2 is 20% more powerfull then the current architecture!
joe exotic rx 5700xt would need 11.1 teraflop to be as powerful in games compared to ps5 gpu
sony sells at a loss so people see the good value, and end up paying for online
@Ridwan Kawser it is true.
how though they are only collecting 60 bucks per consol a year extra for internet services?
They are not selling at a loss this time. The PS5s production costs were reported at $450.
that was true in the past but the ps4 wasn't sold at a loss
this statement makes no sense lmao its sony you dont think they got all them parts for dirt cheap from amd theres a thing called buying in bulk ....if they sold at a loss for making 60 dollars a year off your ps plus pass that still wouldnt make them a profit off their consols then
The first 6 seconds are already untrue.
Even second hand youd struggle immensely
Shorty after saying that he said it might actually be better to buy a console. Maybe watch the video first before commenting dumb shit.
Pc costs 500, my country: how about 1000 dollars
Pc parts are now inflated
Must be fun for people living in foreign countries.
