Idk man there is no future upgradeability for this build; the socket is a decade old so you're going to have to upgrade the whole system a few years down the road. I would recommend upgrading to the am4 platform, since you will be able to at least upgrade to a new cpu 3 years later without changing the motherboard. Even though it will cost around 200 dollars more to get similar performance than this, you can use new parts with a warranty and have more power efficient parts.

@@techyesterday4960 OK thanks, also would it make a difference if I got one 16GB ram stick or is it necessary to have 2x8GB?
@@umeraziz1533 Umer Aziz yes it would make a difference. If you go with a 4 slot motherboard you have slot 1 and 3 populated it will run in dual channel. If you use x58, you can run it in triple channel. Gaining some more performance. Now if you go with an x79 board. With a cheap 1650 or 1650 v2 Xeon cpu you can run it in quad channel. I run a 4930k with 32gb 1600mhz and a gtx1080 and a x79 e5 -2690 (8 core) with 64gb of 1600 MHz ram and a RX 580 8gb for my girlfriend and for me when I am editing videos.
