Unfortunately the bar for not completely wasting your money on garbage that will need to be upgraded or completely replaced in 2 years is 900-1000 dollars. Your GPU should cost 40% of your build, and it is hard to get the rest of even mid tier components for under 550 bucks. 60 for PSU, 75 for RAM, 50 dollar case, 85 dollar mobo, 150-200 dollar cpu, 65 for a 512gb nvme drive, additional case fans with a hub/splitter, and you are already over 500 bucks. These are bare minimum things you should be building with. You don't want to build for the past or present. You want to future proof your rig at least a little, or you will regret it in just a couple years time. Spending at least 900 will give you a yearly cost average of around 200 dollars for the time your system stays relevant. The cheaper you go, the higher that number gets for progressively worse components.
Ishmael Maphingers correct. Although if u just want something now this is a great budget build imo. Spending $900 on a setup is almost equally as bad, you don’t really have a great machine, it will still be slower than models that come out 2 years from now. Meaning if you actually want decent parts your gonna spend around $900 then your gonna need upgrades in two years to keep it up to your set low end mediocrity standards? With this $400 setup it looks like you can go for at least 5-6 years playing the same games that he currently was as well as anything the specs meet currently. So why spend more? The ONLY REASON would be you have more graphics editing intensive work or certain games your worried might not be met by these specs in the near future. Future proofing is also recommended on a non micro atx board entirely in my personal opinion, a micro atx board is good because its small yes but has way less room for upgrade so that kind of throws the whole build out the window at that point. I say if your not spending at least $1600 in order to get something on the higher end mediocre quality build there’s not really any reason to spend more than $5-600 maximum for slightly greater variety of playable games. But that’s all depending on what you get for your money, sales and such.

Honestly just getting a $300 lightly-specced laptop and building this $400 PC would be much better value than buying a $1000 laptop for the same performance (plus it is going to be less portable)
My friend bought a Laptop for around 650 euros back in 2018, my 2011 prebuilt with a i3-540 with only 4 gb ram and a RX 560 4GB has 10 times the performance on many games. On games such as Doom he has to lower the resolution to 800x600, and the resolution slider to around 75% all low just to get 30 fps. Meanwhile im getting around 120, medium-high settings at 1080p. As someone who has built quite a few PCs in the past, the biggest tip I can give people is spending a little more on the case. I have had mine for almost 11 years and it's still going strong. Second tip is with my power supply since I've had mine for almost 13 years. Unfortunately the rest of the components change quite a bit. Seriously i would go with the pc. I had a laptop for gaming(lenovo y720). I couldn't really find it too immersive so i just bought a monitor and speakers and basically tuned my laptop into a Cpu lol should've just gotten a pc fr
Laptops just arent worth the money.
I really like this build where he was thorough in every detail like the wirings and such. Many of the guides I've watched are not this detailed. Props!

@Joel Reese not everyonr has you sense oh humor
@Joel Reese joel, dude, friend, stranger. Keep bad opinions to yourself, is a joke after all. just cuz u didnt like it doesnt mean you have to comment saying "not funny" its pathetic lol.
Ghosty仲間 did he ask for your opinion on his opinion? Didn’t think so.

“It’s not like blubkublublbul”😂 really great video though! I appreciate all the small comments and mentioning of “little things” that really help my overall understanding of not only what but WHY you’re doing certain things. Many PC builders skip over explaining and expect everyone to know the “why” of everything.
You just got a new subscriber out of me. Keep up the great work, it isn’t unnoticed!
you forgot the most important benchmark, running chrome with more than 2 tabs
Bro You make the Best PC Build Videos With the Best Video Quality✌🏾

MAN! My dude looks like a gentleman
So we’re just not gonna talk abt how he buys all these pcs just for us 💯💯
I’m sure people are asking him to build them for a price maybe.
Dan Baum he’s only making abt 6$ per 1000 views
@@bjtheamazing6550 yes but sponsors(idk if this video has one but the point is if he is receiving any sponsors he can make more money off these videos.)
X X normally people only sponsor if they’re gonna get buisness back. And generally they’d tell him to mention it.
I really want to see Joey build a water cooling pc or an itx build as well.
Best pc build guides around amazing job man this is what I’m hopefully building soon
Boomer: back in my day PC building was traditional none of this colourful noncence.

@@binksninja that's a completely different and much more sensitive topic. It was a harmless meme that went around. It’s a capture card he’s not using obs
I've been avoiding getting a pc for long enough now this is the age where things are starting to really change in quality and price. Plus my place was robbed so now I kinda have no other option ugh
sorry to hear that bro I hope things work out for you :)
sorry to hear that man hope everything gets better
This is the best time in years to build a PC.
thank you for this build i am going to build this pc next week
Muhammad Salem great the guide was amazing
Joey 💪🏼 Finally getting a pc for Christmas, building it my self. Ryzen 5 2600 & RX 580. Can’t wait! Thanks for you convincing me 😁
That’s my build too!
Good choice ive got the R5 2600 and rx 570 and its great, go for 16gb of ram and you will have a great first build
Just build a ryzen 5 2600x and rx 590 its a solid build
how you know what Santa is getting you??
@@bigbosslive69 becuse thats what he asked for!
The reason why this man is the best is because he actually can build a pc that wont run gams at 40 fps on 720- low settings with integrated graphics\
i love how this is better than my $800dlls 2019 pc ;-;
I mean thats why the prebuilds suck
It's a prebuilt isn't it lmao
Vladimir S yup pre builts suck ass
its called dont get a prebuilt
This budget builds are so exiciting more than the expensive ones i swear.
Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic most prices went up so it’s now around $600
Yeah and out of stocks
romanoff I just bought all of my parts for around 600$ you just have to look at the right time
Fr
Joshua Madariaga I got my mine for 500
In Greece the prices went low
joeys builds are just so clean.
Why is he always looking at the top right in every thumbnail
I looked at every thumbnail of his and I right
Tag em
Probably looking at a camera
Omg wtf
he is looking at our finger or cursor to click the vid
Still watching the cheapest gaming PC build while even this I cannot afford.
nowadays all these parts together will cost $700, its inflated as fuck
@Mason Rose ive been trying to do the same with used parts, after about 2 weeks of searching for the best deals i managed to get about $520 and thats with downgrades, i only managed to get a GTX 760 and ryzen 3 1200 both refurbished, so idk how tf you got 350 without massively downgrading
@@Аку-ю7ф LTT has a podcast and they talked about how the gpu prices are dropping cuz of Chinas crackdown on gpu and the etherium/bitcoin stocks dropping. I suggest you wait a little while longer cuz miners will sell the cards at low prices to attempt to get rid of them after they stop being profitable.
Came for the benchmark and PC, stayed for the pog level sniping on halo
As someone who has built quite a few PCs in the past, the biggest tip I can give people is spending a little more on the case. I have had mine for almost 11 years and it's still going strong. Second tip is with my power supply since I've had mine for almost 13 years. Unfortunately the rest of the components change quite a bit. Although, what I can tell you is if you get a solid motherboard, graphics card and processor, it will last you at least 5-6 years before wanting to upgrade but it is never needed. In fact, I can play most PC games on my 12 year old PC but it's not going to give me the same performance.
I paid 1,500 for my pc why the hell does this run so smooth for 400? I should have saved my money
specs???
is it a prebuilt?
Pre built is dogshit
What are the specs
because you dont need to spend $1000+ for a smooth 1080p gaming experience. And probably because you bought a prebuilt and got scammed
Man your voice is so calming ngl lmao
My favorite “benchmarks”
