    We’re excited to see the LincStation N1 featured with the Unraid 7 Beta! 🚀 This combination brings powerful performance to all-flash NAS setups. Thanks to the Unraid team for highlighting our product - looking forward to seeing how the community uses this setup. 💻

      Any plans for n100 version or something slightly more powerful ?
      Been using x86-p5 as janky Nas build which have intel n305 + single ddr5 sodimm, quad M2 carrier Pcb with 1 lanes to each slots ,dual 2.5G port and 2 sata drive
      It will be great if we can fit all these into a nice lincstation N2/N2+ ?

    I've been waiting for this to come out. I've been playing with one of these and wanted to see how the official team decided to configure their storage pools, and it's the same as what I decided on.

    I personally prefer Tdarr over handbrake, but I understand why that the *arr apps might be a bit avoided on an official channel. I actually didn't know there was a handbrake container.

      I looked at doing Tdarr originally but it seemed pretty advanced to do such a "simple" job. Maybe worth trying at home instead, this video IMO is more of a video about giving ideas.

    It's a shame they didn't build it around something like an N300, it could be far more than just a NAS with a more powerful CPU.

      That would be awesome for the next version.

    kinda weird setup with the 2 pools2x2TB as Storage and 4x1 as cache

      Rule of thumb with ZFS, use the same type (preferably same model) of drive in your pool.
      This setup makes perfect sense

      @@Hansen999 And purchased from different stores or suppliers to ensure they are not from the same manufacturing batch (just in case they all decide to fail at the same time).

      @@ManelRodero You are right, keyword is different batches. And really you should always have at least 1 spare in case a drive is failing.

    What a shame that this doesn't support 22110 M.2 when there is enough space. That latch mechanism is soooooo unnecessary (especially when the 2.5" needs a screw driver so this isn't a tool-free device anyway). Also, all-flash NAS must have 10GbE. 2.5GbE is only 300MB/s on a good day and the CPU is actually capable of GB/s with RaidZ1.

    • @SPXLabs
      @SPXLabs 7 днів тому +1

      The 2.5GbE option is a bit a strange choice. I think 5GbE should have been the base spec. I assume when and if they release the N2 or the next revision, it might get a bump hopefully to 10GbE

    How would the performance in the cache vs the storage?
    For this scenario it seems like you only tries to change from mkv to mp4. In that case, would not remux be better than rencoding?

    • @SPXLabs
      @SPXLabs 7 днів тому

      I don't understand your first question. remuxing might be better but ultimately this video is more about giving ideas than saying, "see this, do it this way".
