18:18 there are some games that allow you to jump between servers to play with friends from different regions or in some cases you transfer your save data from one console to another. You will have all your inventory and character settings but any macros/shortcuts or friend lists will be reset. Based on info up to this point (I read the manga so not gonna spoil anything don’t worry) he is still in the same world just new server and the game went through a massive update where it’s not NewGate 1.2 but rather NewGate 2.1. Best way to understand why there is a new currency but the old one is still recognized and why all items are still useable but not available to the current general public. The message item requires a “friend list” function of sorts but since Shin transmigrated, he has to encounter Schnee again to be able to send her items like before.

@@HerrscherOfStarsyeah I agree with your statement. Makes other content creators more relevant when they do videos that go over the differences between them. Makes the story more complete and immersive.
@@HerrscherOfStars its fine but there are one to one adaptations also. i really like those. one of the example is dark gathering tho maybe they wont cook a s2 and thats gonna mean go to the real source as you said but since there isnt enough content for s2 yet we gonna see this in 2-3 years.
