Depends on the deposit + wht interest rate is your current mortgage ,According to current Mortgage interest(5%) in the market if the house price is (440000k) if they put 10% downpayment they will be paying 1650 only interest nothing will go to the equity so basically bought a house and paying 1650 just as interest Which is a loss ( I WOULD SAY IT IS BAD TIME TO BUY HOUSE )
Not only that even both are nurse the reason they can afford this ( I dont see any kids over there or might be they are older enough to leave alone in the house thats the main point child care is a tuff stuff in uk if some one have small child they stuck until they become older enough to stay alone or going to school
