Hi mate, just wanted to say it’s great watching your videos and it’s helped me along the way with my ST180 too! Regarding your dilemma, I’ve almost done the opposite in a sense that I’ve come from a modded Stage 2 M140i on PCP over 4 years to deciding after 2 years, it didn’t suit my financial position with wanting to start doing other things in life, like the house etc. I absolutely loved my 140i for the 2 years I had it and it was a great car! I ended up with my ST because I could afford it outright and it’s much cheaper to run in general. Modding cars can become a money pit but it’s something we all love to do. I was going to end up staying Stage 1+ with my ST but have gone wild like yourself fitting an S280 and going TRS Stage 3 etc. It all depends on a variety of factors, however I personally feel more comfortable atm without the tie for a monthly payment on a car and there being no end in sight. You’ve done so much to the ST and it’s a special car. I’ve come to terms now that what ever Car I buy, whether it’s a BMW, Audi etc, I’ll always modify, so it’s all down to your financial situation and goals tbh mate. I’d still watch your content if you did end up switching to something else though!
I'm 37 and my first ever car was an xr2i and 20 years later I've gone full circle and got a fiesta st. It puts a smile on my face much more than any of the other 'grown up' cars I've had trust me. Not sure what my advice is but do it for you.
You may not have a work van forever. You wanted to keep it for a track car anyway so if you own it, why not keep it and do what you wanted to. I had my HR31 Skyline for 11 years. Sold it it to buy a house, wish I never sold it. I think you underestimate how many people like the i30N lol. I'd keep it as a track car personally. I think once I move on from a daily FiSTing we will keep it for tracks and weekends.

I had the same thoughts about 12 months ago. After speaking to a few people I had my mind set on a i30N or a m140. I had it all planned out and could afford the cars, but then that was it. I could afford to get the car a run it, but any modifications were definitely a no! All modifications were 2-3x the price of doing anything on a Fiesta. I’d have spent the next 3-4 years driving a completely stock car and that’s not for me. There has been so many people who end up going back to a Fiesta because the more “mature” cars they feel they have to move on to are completely bland a dull. I’ve started to feel that a Golf R, m135/140, Cupra R, S3 etc. are all cars for people who want something fast off the lights with a high BHP figure to show off to their friends, but don’t really care about the actual performance of a car. Either way, whatever you decide to do I’ll still watch your videos, you seem like a genuine guy! I’ve really enjoyed all the effort you’ve put into this car and seeing what you’ve learnt from the progress of the ST! Stay safe!
I sold my ST for an Golf R found the R fast and capable of the line buts it's so easy to drive gets boring really fast imo you mite love it! however the build quality was awesome, Ford focus RS is a good choice keeps the value very well looking at the old Mk2, will be stopping for fuel all the time. But the steering feels amazing in the mk3, Golf R felt faster to me in standard form. Decision! I'm back in a Stage4 fiesta ST now
Go full send and turn it into a track car. I don’t think you can have as much fun with the higher end cars because you’d be worried throwing it in to a hedge 😂
I've just recently been able to get a Fiesta '12 Sport sold in the Philippines (basically a base 1.6 with an ST wing and fogs) which I drive about a month in a year. And cars over there are not cheap. Mate, it may or may not matter to you. But because of the rare nature of a true Fiesta ST. Please keep it.
Totally agree with all your points about UA-cam 🙌🏼 totally disagree with your comment about wheels being purely for aesthetics. Get some lighter wheels and it’ll change your world 😁😂 ...but only if you choose to keep the car 😉 M2, I30N or Golf R - there isn’t a bad car in there. Car Rambles Yeah it’s quite a noticeable difference. Feels way more nimble 👍🏼 same story on mountain bikes and motorbikes, so I guess it’s no surprise really!
I think I would only change my ST for a bmw 1 or 240i. Can pick them up with low mileage for around £20k around a year old. Only thing with that is, they are becoming more common. That puts some people off but not me. BMW claim 330, but most dyno at closer to 360.
I'd say keep the fiesta and get a project car. You dont have to dump money into the project all at once. Enjoy the journey of building it and when you get a bit of extra cash built up buy a mod for the project car or whatever and jus take your time with it. In the long run yes project cars take alot of money but if you space it out over a long period of time it might not be too hard on the bank account at one time. I think this reason would suit you as you said youtube content isnt a huge deal to you and this would keep you going a while so you dont hit a dead end like you have now. Again I say keep the fiesta because as I seen in that last wee clip of you driving you really enjoy the car and it makes you happy so why get rid of something that makes you happy? Hyundai I30N. Something different which you don't see every day. Other young youtubers have got Focus RS's, Golf R and BMW's, evos and scoobys, and all the content is boring. But ultimately it is your decision. All the best!
I traded my st in for a Golf GTI. Was great for a couple of months, then I totally regretted it. Ended up trading it back in for another st. Your car is perfect, I'd defo keep it. It doesnt matter if you change car mate everyone will still watch. Brilliant channel!
Depends how long you've been thinking about this. But please do not go "full send" and strip her out, etc. Hearing you talk about how you'd like 4 doors, and possibly RWD. Maybe keeping her is an option, maybe changing her in for something else is an option, but getting rid of the rear seats isn't an option; goes against everything you listed you want.
Once you think about selling your car you can’t get it out your head so I would say sell it and get what you want maybe something that won’t lose you much money being sat on your drive all week. I had an st180 absolutely loved the car but for 11 years I’ve wanted my dream car a MK2 Focus RS, as soon as I was in a position to buy 1 I couldn’t stop thinking about getting an RS so I thought YOLO and got 1 as a weekend car and normal fiesta as my daily. Might seem a waste but I’m not losing money with it sat in the garage. Go for it mate
I’ve reached the same point with my ST, I’ve done that much to it I just feel like it’s time to move on, what about the seat Leon cupra, same engine as golf r, s3, and a lot more cheaper, interior is a hell of a lot more nicer as well

You have been making great videos, short and to the point, which helped me, personally, a lot. Obviously I started fallowing because of the car itself since I have one, but even if you change it to something else interesting, I would still watch to see what you’re up to (if you will still make videos obvs). Now regarding the cars you are considering I feel like none actually has everything that you want from a new one. 1. The rs have 4 doors and drift mode but if you really want to learn how to drift you would go for a proper rwd right? 2. The m2 you can drift but you don’t get the 4 doors? In the end I think most important is to do what you feel like doing regardless of what all of us here are saying😂

I'd say keep it. Cause theres so many people atm who have sold their fiesta st and got something like focus rs/golf r/ i30n. But they have missed there fiesta st that much they buy another one. And actually regret ever selling there st to begin with. My mate has sold his stage 3 fiesta st for a stage2 2016 focus rs and hes told me that his fiesta was lot faster than his rs.
I think you may regret it, 2 of my friends sold there cars and now they wish they didn’t! But as others have said make sure financially you can do it and mods on such cars can add up to big bucks! I don’t know what your future plans are as you may be looking at mortgages? I’ve spent to much on my car and I’m the same work van and use car on the weekends but ive spent to much I wouldn’t get barely any back and I’ve been wanting to do track days in it and potentially keeping it as a track car. It seemed you enjoy track days watching your last track day video which has made me want to do it more, I still think you get the buzz from driving the st

I have been watching you channel for ages now and been loving every video you do, nearly went and got a fiesta after watching your channel but I ended up getting a st225 purely for more power gains out of it, highly recommend this being an option if you do look at new cars 👌🏻
Of all the cars you mentioned the Hyundai is one that stands out for me. The focus rs has engine issues and unless you buy one that's sorted then you'll have that niggle in the back of your head whens it gonna pop. The golf is a good car with an amazing engine that looks like a standard golf. The M2 is a awesome car, but the inspection services are a mortgage on their own. And I've had two bmws, non Ms, but still was expensive for services and parts. But what ever you do I'm sure you'll make a good choice. If you want to drift, buy a cheap mx5 and get that as a project to build a drift car.
Keep it mate , I got a st and never modified it much so I could save up. No point in chucking loads of money on a car to just sell it, enjoy It for a bit, plus if you don’t drive it much it’ll be same with next car
Definitely don't spend more money on it, you seem ready to sell the car so it would all go to waste plus the car would be worth less. I honestly don't think any of those cars you mentioned would be more fun than a fiesta st. But if I had to choose I'd say the i30 seems like the best car because of its usefulness while being be the most "affordable," and I also like the look of it the most. I'm living in the USA so we don't get the i30 N but I do own the fiesta St and after 3 1/2 years of ownership I still love it and prefer it over all these huge and boring vehicles taking over in this country. My Fiesta ST is stock, by the way.
Hyundai i30n having loads issues with paint .headlight steaming.gearbox issues..and electric issues . And not all being done under warranty now..you here on facebook about fiesta owners going to golf r then they come back to fiesta st again.
To many Focus RS around even though I love them too... , i30N would be pretty cool, unique and a great car too btw or a M2 would be insane.,,series car and would be the ultimate drift machine..... Beautiful car... but the question!!!! Fiesta ST, love to see it go on with you on the channel as its a great car to mod, cheap to a point to mod for the power you get (power to weight ratio) and your videos are brilliant as instructional videos as well as fun.... Its your money after all so dont forget whatever you buy next could be more expensive and a money pit but will it give you more driving experience fun and exciting... Dont know if the M2 can be got as a 4 door? It would be my pick outside the ST, Whatever you do will be great and i for one will continue to follow you because you are down to earth, honest and your content actually has depth... Mate, if it's time to move on, it's time to move on. I've only recently subbed to you, and just be safe in the knowledge that your uploads hold lots of valuable information for people setting out with their fizzy. I would hold on until the dust settles in the world and take it from there, just enjoy that 5 minutes drive to escape from the world. I'm lucky that I still work, and get to drive mine as a daily, it's Stage 1 but looking to go to 3 when finances let me. What would you do if you sell, put back to near standard or sell as is? If you put back, let me know and we might be able to come to a deal on parts.
I also have a work van that I can use for some personal trips outside of work. But would i sell my car? Nah, I wouldn't move to another car either. My colleagues have RS4 (V8 NA model) another has a S3. they use them less than me and cost them twice as much. Yet there bored of them too....
Keep the ST, gut it and have it for track. If you want to drift buy an old BMW or MX5 and go have fun! All you need is an LSD and plenty of tyres! Enjoy your driving! That's what matters!
I'd check out finance and insurance options on the mentioned cars first, you might be stopped there. But have you driven any of the cars you mentioned? Maybe do a drift day and see if skidding is for you? But that's way more expensive than doing normal track days too. End of the day if you feel its time to move on then it's time, but you'll always miss your old cars.
If it was me I move more towards r32 gtr,rx7 fd, s14 but I do like my jdm's.But you have put so much time and money into the st180 I think I would keep her and enjoy her.
Listen to what your saying... you drive the car at the weekends at most you've a work van so your going to get a more expensive car to sit there and not be driven as much as they should?? Keep the car full send and when you get time you'll get in it and it will be epic when lockdown is over get the car on some B roads on track or whatever..
Personally I think you need more time to enjoy the time you’ve put into the car - but if you feel it’s time for a new challenge then, M2, mk2 RS or i3n would be good fun 👌🏼
This isn’t the time to be buying with the lockdown and economy, but if you can, it may be the time to sell. I look online regularly to see what’s about and it does look like STs are holding their value well. Is this because the crazy price of a specced mk8 ST has made the mk7 more desirable 🤷♂️ I think after lockdown their will be ridiculous 0% deals on new and nearly new cars as dealers will be desperate to claw back lost revenue. Sadly too their may be a glut of second hand cars as people sell up due to their work situation changing too. All points towards a buyers market. Sorry think I am car rambling now. TLDR: sell soon before market dives, wait till after lockdown to get something new when it will be a buyers market.
You have come too far to walk away from UA-cam buddy, if you enjoy something don't let anything stop you. Personally I'd keep it as a weekend car and save up for a while, when the time is right then sell it and you'll be in a more comfortable position to buy a new car
Bro you do realise your sync1 screen shows the date right? I mean personally i don't care about people enjoying a spirited drive in the current situation and actually think there's zero harm in it if that's all they're doing. But i'm not bothering because the police have stopped me while i've been on my way to work and then let me on my way. So i've avoided the evening drives etc enjoying the car because i don't want to be fined on the spot. But please don't lie about it because this is what puts me off youtubers when i see them lying about pointless stuff. Anyway you seemed well disheartened in this video as if you're ready to move on. So like most youtubers you're going to do it eventually. So you may as well just do it. If you're worrying about mods and availability of mods on your next car i wouldn't go for the I30N. Id lean more towards the Focus RS because there's much more available. Then you can actually drift this car but it's not really the best car for it but it has the ability. Then you have to remember the people who follow you on this channel will most likely own a fiesta or another ford or be thinking of getting one. So moving on to the RS would most likely keep that fanbase. But moving onto something like the Golf R would just attract that fanbase while losing the current one. I'm not a massive fan of the Golf R, while it's a logical car to move on to it's quite a boring car to drive after a while. Mods just increase the speed but while your driving it you just look at the speedo and think fuck didn't realise i was going that fast.
The difference is I'm on UA-cam for completely different reasons. I'm not here to earn as much money from you all as possible. I'm only here to help. If I was to move onto a different car, I would then try and help that car group the same as I've done here. That's if I was to stay making videos at all. I feel if you are not going to drive a car, why put yourself out more financially IF you arent going to make content with it? Maybe not extend yourself too much, use the van and put it towards a much much better car down the road? I like your fiesta (ST200 owner) content, and it is why im subscribed, but i dont own a mazda and i still watch j3ese etc. And... I once considered an i30n so would definitely be interested in content on that car. At the ene of the day, you do what you wqnt but if its going to put you out financially, ESPECIALLY NOW, when no job is secure, why bother?

I have been watching you channel for ages now and been loving every video you do, nearly went and got a fiesta after watching your channel but I ended up getting a st225 purely for more power gains out of it, highly recommend this being an option if you do look at new cars 👌🏻
Of all the cars you mentioned the Hyundai is one that stands out for me. The focus rs has engine issues and unless you buy one that's sorted then you'll have that niggle in the back of your head whens it gonna pop. The golf is a good car with an amazing engine that looks like a standard golf. The M2 is a awesome car, but the inspection services are a mortgage on their own. And I've had two bmws, non Ms, but still was expensive for services and parts. But what ever you do I'm sure you'll make a good choice. If you want to drift, buy a cheap mx5 and get that as a project to build a drift car.
Keep it mate , I got a st and never modified it much so I could save up. No point in chucking loads of money on a car to just sell it, enjoy It for a bit, plus if you don’t drive it much it’ll be same with next car
Definitely don't spend more money on it, you seem ready to sell the car so it would all go to waste plus the car would be worth less.
I honestly don't think any of those cars you mentioned would be more fun than a fiesta st. But if I had to choose I'd say the i30 seems like the best car because of its usefulness while being be the most "affordable," and I also like the look of it the most.
I'm living in the USA so we don't get the i30 N but I do own the fiesta St and after 3 1/2 years of ownership I still love it and prefer it over all these huge and boring vehicles taking over in this country.
My Fiesta ST is stock, by the way.
Hyundai i30n having loads issues with paint .headlight steaming.gearbox issues..and electric issues . And not all being done under warranty now..you here on facebook about fiesta owners going to golf r then they come back to fiesta st again.

To many Focus RS around even though I love them too... , i30N would be pretty cool, unique and a great car too btw or a M2 would be insane.,,series car and would be the ultimate drift machine..... Beautiful car... but the question!!!! Fiesta ST, love to see it go on with you on the channel as its a great car to mod, cheap to a point to mod for the power you get (power to weight ratio) and your videos are brilliant as instructional videos as well as fun.... Its your money after all so dont forget whatever you buy next could be more expensive and a money pit but will it give you more driving experience fun and exciting... Dont know if the M2 can be got as a 4 door? It would be my pick outside the ST,

I've only recently subbed to you, and just be safe in the knowledge that your uploads hold lots of valuable information for people setting out with their fizzy.
I would hold on until the dust settles in the world and take it from there, just enjoy that 5 minutes drive to escape from the world.
I'm lucky that I still work, and get to drive mine as a daily, it's Stage 1 but looking to go to 3 when finances let me.
What would you do if you sell, put back to near standard or sell as is?

I also have a work van that I can use for some personal trips outside of work. But would i sell my car? Nah, I wouldn't move to another car either. My colleagues have RS4 (V8 NA model) another has a S3. they use them less than me and cost them twice as much. Yet there bored of them too....
Keep the ST, gut it and have it for track.
If you want to drift buy an old BMW or MX5 and go have fun! All you need is an LSD and plenty of tyres!

I'd check out finance and insurance options on the mentioned cars first, you might be stopped there.
But have you driven any of the cars you mentioned?
Maybe do a drift day and see if skidding is for you? But that's way more expensive than doing normal track days too.
End of the day if you feel its time to move on then it's time, but you'll always miss your old cars.

This isn’t the time to be buying with the lockdown and economy, but if you can, it may be the time to sell. I look online regularly to see what’s about and it does look like STs are holding their value well. Is this because the crazy price of a specced mk8 ST has made the mk7 more desirable 🤷♂️
I think after lockdown their will be ridiculous 0% deals on new and nearly new cars as dealers will be desperate to claw back lost revenue. Sadly too their may be a glut of second hand cars as people sell up due to their work situation changing too. All points towards a buyers market. Sorry think I am car rambling now.
TLDR: sell soon before market dives, wait till after lockdown to get something new when it will be a buyers market.

You have come too far to walk away from UA-cam buddy, if you enjoy something don't let anything stop you. Personally I'd keep it as a weekend car and save up for a while, when the time is right then sell it and you'll be in a more comfortable position to buy a new car
Bro you do realise your sync1 screen shows the date right? I mean personally i don't care about people enjoying a spirited drive in the current situation and actually think there's zero harm in it if that's all they're doing. But i'm not bothering because the police have stopped me while i've been on my way to work and then let me on my way. So i've avoided the evening drives etc enjoying the car because i don't want to be fined on the spot.
But please don't lie about it because this is what puts me off youtubers when i see them lying about pointless stuff.
Anyway you seemed well disheartened in this video as if you're ready to move on. So like most youtubers you're going to do it eventually. So you may as well just do it. If you're worrying about mods and availability of mods on your next car i wouldn't go for the I30N. Id lean more towards the Focus RS because there's much more available. Then you can actually drift this car but it's not really the best car for it but it has the ability. Then you have to remember the people who follow you on this channel will most likely own a fiesta or another ford or be thinking of getting one. So moving on to the RS would most likely keep that fanbase. But moving onto something like the Golf R would just attract that fanbase while losing the current one.
I'm not a massive fan of the Golf R, while it's a logical car to move on to it's quite a boring car to drive after a while. Mods just increase the speed but while your driving it you just look at the speedo and think fuck didn't realise i was going that fast.

I feel if you are not going to drive a car, why put yourself out more financially IF you arent going to make content with it? Maybe not extend yourself too much, use the van and put it towards a much much better car down the road?
I like your fiesta (ST200 owner) content, and it is why im subscribed, but i dont own a mazda and i still watch j3ese etc. And... I once considered an i30n so would definitely be interested in content on that car.
