Yeah, if killing it means selling a D2 blade for $65, like the Iridium, thanks but no thanks or maybe I wait until they go on sale and get it for $30
@@anevemdomi i’d rather pay $65 for a D2 steel blade then $30-$40 for a garbage eight CR 13 MOV blade that once it goes doll I can’t ever seem to get an edge back on it. I hope with how popular the live wire has been. It will encourage Kershaw to: one continue producing and designing new OTFs two encourage the manufacturing their of in the United States and three, bringing some of their best selling designs back into US production with more premium components but hey, I guess that’s always with zero tolerance existed for anyway

@@user-yo9si2ee1x For the longest time the Iridium was the first blade that made me say, OK i will buy one, then I saw the specs and the price tag. The Iridium is made in China, not US made, and the only special thing about this knife is the crossbar lock, which in my book does not justify the price tag, that's all, but like I said, retailers will drop the price by the end of the year, and if they drop the price then that is how much it was worth to begin with which will take us back to the the point I was making, $65 is just too much for the Iridium.
Those two Livewire OTF's are fantastic as is the Launch 19 imo.
A manual/magnacut/US made Kershaw. WOW! It's so great to see that at a value price point. As always I love the Kershaw blade geometry & profiles. Hoping the heat treat is on point. Can't wait to get it.

IMHO, OTFs should be double edged and one of those edges should have some serrations. And Kershaw’s scalloped serrations are my favorite.
The kershaw Clash was my very first knife. They've always been amazing

The Livewire feels like it changed the OTF game a bit. Not in design, but in value. Kind of like how Hogue disrupted the market with the Deka. When you can get something on the same level of quality and materials for half the price and still fully USA made, it becomes hard to argue with.

I am currently flipping my Kershaw Balisong Trainer & really like it.
I love the sanctum, Kershaw if you see this please release a version in D2

Bel-air is a bugout killer. Maybe a bit more hard use than a deka as well
While I like a lot of Kershaw knives my launch 15 in the thin Magnacut let me down when the damn blade snapped just in front of the pivot. Wish the Bel-Air was a little thicker.
What were you doing to snap a magnacut blade? I know those aren't garbage.
@@tyarnold4088dropped it off a ladder, it landed on the side of the blades tip and snapped at the front of the pivot, imo the way they did the the machining of the button reliefs is garbage and creates a thin area that’s about half the blades thickness

I need a bel-air but satin magnacut with od green aluminum! Kershaw/zt satins are some of the best factory satins and magnacut doesn't need a coating. Od green is my thang only reason I want that...

Can we please get a Tonto blade fully serrated in a folder or flipper with a 4 inch blade with the aluminum handles please. I already know what you’re gonna say is that this style is not wanted. But I am the public. I am a customer and there are a bunch of us out there that want this particular style. The only one I have been able to find Far is cold steel and we love it and if you are looking at the comments, it is probably time to look into different styles. Thank you guys.
And also, if you go look up that particular style in cold steel, the price is around $80 just food for thought.

In mopening knives time has come and gone. Both Kershaw and CRKT seem to be all over the assisted thing this year. Modern knives with bearings open just as fast without the mechanism. I had one assisted knife, a Kershaw Leak. Never carried it so I sold it. 🔪🎸

I live in a state with weird and somewhat complicated knife laws. Which makes it difficult to find a knife I can legally carry that suits my needs. Under my states laws, it's only legal to carry a fixed blade knife with a blade length of 4" or shorter, but I also want it to have a seat belt cutter and a glass breaker. I haven't been able to find any knives that meet that criteria unless the boys at Blade HQ or anyone else has any helpful suggestions or recommendations.

Kershaw seems to get a lot of flack from ‘knife enthusiasts’. I feel that those are the same people who leave knives in display cases, or purely for fidgeting. This seems like a very competitive lineup for the average user. Believe it or not some people want a knife that opens easy and fits their needs. Kershaw has options for almost everyone who wants that.
I personally can’t wait to buy the Layup, as it fits my needs and budget perfectly!

The Blur is the only Kershaw I edc anymore. They need to get away from assisted opening imo. Their pricing is getting outrageous also. More than 400 for and otc is not what I’m looking for. A lot of cheaper priced knife companies have catching up to and surpassing these bigger name, overpriced companies. I don’t need all the bells and whistles that come with these huge prices.

Many great knife companies, but Kershaw gives you a lot of knife for your $$.
You raise the price on that live wire and I promise you I will not buy it.. it was 220 dollars.
Kershaw one of my favorite knives for the Money. .... But knives are getting out control on price.... If it is not made by hand buy a custom knife maker and has a high price it is a ripp off. You can buy a 15 shot used and even new Pistol for what some of these knife companies won't. Well that just stupid and a ripp off to the knife community. If it has a high Price don't buy it.
P.S. knife makers please make a hardware piece for unused pocket clip mounts spots. It makes knives look like a piece is missing from the knife and says you are cheap win leaving out.

Kershaw was my go to for knives for a long time, once I found cobratec I immediately switched. Love their otf knives, second to none, vortex typea warranty and they are made in the great country of Texas. No other is worth 400 I'll keep getting my cobratecs at 140
