The Handwork of JnK: The Making of an Arte di Mano Half Case
• [Arte di mano] The han...
Nice job Kristen. You nailed it. I’ve been using Arte Di Mano for over 5 years and even met them in Cologne and Seoul. All my Leica’s except S/SL2 on their cases. Don’t waste your time, this is the best. Everything else is not even close. Cheers Miami team, hope to see you soon. Cheers 🍻
Thanks Michael! We couldn’t agree more.
Jealous you’ve met the Arte di Mano team in person - we have yet to meet face to face, but hopefully will in the (nearish) future.
Just purchased a Rally Volpe case for my M8 and absolutely love it! Impeccable craftsmanship and I can tell that the case will last for years to come
They only get better with time and patina. :)
Absolutely first class presentation
Glad you enjoyed it
Just Ordered my 3rd case... Thanks for making the process effortless.
Thanks Kirsten! Very thorough job. Love that ARTE provides a one stop solution. Glad you teamed up with them.
I have a fuji.. yeah I live on the other side of the tracks... I got these cases from a Hong Kong company called Kaza Deluxe. Check out what the they do... they provide a full case option plus some strap pouches ... this allows you to pack the camera, a battery, a tiny flash in this street kit that leaves you out all day! ARTE should do something similar.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!
Arte di Mano does offer battery and EVF pouches which attach to the camera strap. They also offer detachable back flaps to protect the LCD.
They have made full wraparound covers for certain cameras in the past. Depending on the camera, it might be something that could be custom ordered.
as someone formerly in broadcasting, I need to compliment the lady on her presentation. It is not easy to present as she has done here. It is a model of consistency worth studying for those in the field.
Thanks!! Nice video. 1st class presentation.
Glad it was helpful!
hi from Mexico! One word: WOW
I love my Arte Di Mano half case for my Leica M6 LHSA Edition. Flawless!
Great video, very informative! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Just went on their website. Leather company is indeed high quality. Will order the Q-P case.
Perfect!!!!! Really nice!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Great presentation! Thumbs up.
Thank you! Cheers!
Super through .. thank you ! Great job ..
You're welcome!
Killer presentation.
Really great video Kirsten. My Arte di Mano case for my Leica SL fits a bit too snug. It is extremely difficult to put on and remove. It is beautiful but not used frequently due to this.
Hi Michael,
The original SL (Typ 601) half case without the battery door has a strip of leather that rests between the EVF and the display screen. In recent years, Arte di Mano has shied away from that design as it makes it quite difficult to get on and off.
The newer SL2 designs and the battery door half cases for the original SL (Typ 601) omit this leather strip. One of the great things about JnK and Arte di Mano is that they listen to their customers and aren’t afraid to go back to the drawing board if a design needs to be reworked.
If you want to get into one of the newer style cases without that leather strip, Leica Store Miami could arrange a trade-in for you!
Hello Kristen, Thank you for sharing the video! Would like to know which leather type for the black case in 2:48?
Hopefully you will have them for the Q2M
Looks like gorgeous handmade leather goods! Should I assume that there will be half cases available soon for the Q3?
Yeah, they're expensive.
When it arrived and i then slipped it on on to my Q2.. I suddenly realized what i was paying for. Simply put- you get what you pay for.
I finally found what i was looking for.
None better.
Arte di Mano cases are a true work of art - worth every penny.
@@RedDotForum Totally agree... you can bet that when i get my next Leica i'll wrap it with a ADM.
count on it. Thanks for the presentation.
Got them it took time , but worth thr wait and price
Now I wish we had cases for the Leica S and Leica SL series.
What kind of cases are you looking for?
good
Poor Luigi.
SuperPussyFinger find his cases among some of the best as well. Stitching, fit and overall leather quality equally as good.
I have ordered a leather case for my Q3, and after a couple of weeks I received a mail with therein the message that the leather of my choice was not available… I have paid $640 upfront for the case, and now I don’t know what will happen? Hopefully they will provide me with a solution or a refund. I was really looking forward for the cover, and I hope to hear from them soon! I’ll keep the people here informed
I know my M11 is damn expensive & spending another $500 shouldn’t be as painful in the scheme of things. What pissed me off was the shipping. 😅
‘Leica specialist’…. Hmmm. Sales person maybe?
Is it sexist that the guys do all the technical videos and the accessories is made by a female?
Great video anyway 👌
Kirsten lives 5 hours away from where we shoot these videos...if she lived closer, you would absolutely see her more regularly. Since she is the individual who brought the Arte di Mano brand into the shop, and is pretty much single-handily responsible for the incredible growth of the brand in the USA, she made a special trip to the studio for this particular video.
Interesting observation! Definitely not intentional. I just happen to be the one who does most of the accessory ordering for Leica Store Miami, so that’s my expertise.
I’ve contributed several written camera and technical articles on www.reddotforum.com. David and Josh have been bugging me to do more video content though, so I’m sure you’ll see me in front of the camera again soon. Thanks for watching!
"Is it" ? - Geesh; enough already with this 'political correctness' - Genitalia has nothing to do with photographic or technical knowledge...
Why is your head sideways when you're talking to the camera?
