"Take away my eyes. Sometimes I'd rather be blind" - Alice Cooper. -- Just listening (and not having to watch) made this SOOOOO WORTHWHILE!!! THANKS FOR POSTING!!! B.O.C.!!!
Great to see them still gigging after all these years ….and sounding great unlike many from 70’s. Eric’s voice has held up great and Buck’s guitar still crisp 🎸🔥🎸🔥🎸
What a great performance!!! Just more proof that BOC is probably the best live rock band of all-time...I've never seen "The Alchemist" live in concert. The last time I saw them they played a few cuts from "The Symbol Remains", but now I need see "The Alchemist" in person. What an absolute masterpiece banger!!!
the great BOC so under rated, when I hear a few of the newer popular "metal" bands like ghost and creeper a few others, its pretty much vintage BOC with a modern touch
Il livello è quello, I BOC sono fondamentali per la musica TUTTA...Sia per quanto riguarda il rock, le Anthem Rock e le sonorità più Heavy come questa... Senza gruppi come questo tanti non esisterebbero oggi... Ma tanti...
Everyone saying Eric sounds just like he did in the 70s are suffering from idol worship! This is my favorite band but it does no one any good to tell them they're great when they're doing something that isn't great. Eric just doesn't have the voice he had back then. That being said, he sounds a lot better than he has in a long time. Also, I wish Buck would explore different tones with his guitar. This just isn't right for a song like this. I'd like to see him go for more of a Les Paul through a Marshall sound on these heavier songs. This sound more like something for jazz or something.
The keys are played by Andy Ascolese, who played them on the studio album track on The Symbol Remains album. Many will recognize him from Richie Castallono’s Band Geek project/podcast as well as the Jon Anderson with the Band Geeks touring Yes Epics and Classics - as well as their performing of Jon Anderson’s Grammy nominated new album “True.” BÖC trivia - Andy Ascolese, known for too-shelf percussion, keyboards, guitars and vocals has filled in for BÖC at live shows at each position save lead guitar. As fans know, there is no substitute for Buck cuz no guitarist can come close to filling those shoes. 🎸🫶🏻
Sabbath and BOC had the same manager, Sandy Perlman, the man who coined the term "Heavy Metal.". BOC and Sabbath toured together for a while "Black and Blue" tour. I still have it on video.
@thetruthwinout Sabbath and BOC had the same manager, Sandy Perlman, at one time. Sandy Perlman famously coined the term "Heavy Metal" as a description of music. BOC and Sabbath toured together for a while...."Black and Blue tour."
Eric Bloom still has the voice like he did in the 70’s of Blue Oyster Cult. The alchemist is a great song.
Awesome. Never enough BOC!! Secret Treaties one of my all time favorites!!
Now that’s a great tune - and a pleasant surprise to see Andy Ascolese on keys!
Bloom still got the voice !!
I like the fact that there's a story here in addition to music that fits the narrative. Brilliant!

Love this epic song in traditional BOC proportion.

Eric is 80. It would be freakish if he did sound like he did at 28.
Guitars very 80s but still good.

Love it. Who's playing keys here? The description on the BOC and Frontiers websites doesn't say.
No someone else.@@ryangettig274

Such a rip off of "Black Sabbath" by Sabbath

Too much melody for Sabbath.
@@markhyman5825 Actually the story line largely was taken by Richie from a Lovecraft short story.
What? Not even close.
