Nice a Female locomotive engineer. Love the old railroad Depot and the history of the small town and the buildings. Great video. Love small town America.
Norfie paw on the Google maps - love it! 1st train, most were articulated, total 40 cars. 2nd csx, 141 cars. Put some wheels on it old man, them trains ain't going to wait on you!
I spent hours on a railway bridge as a kid, local people knew our family so kept an eye on me. This was from age 7. Later, I was allowed down the station to stand on the pedestrian footbridge, again my dad knew the signalman (tower operator) and the yard staff. So, thank you JT for resurrecting happy memories of childhood.
I love to watch trains. When I was at home growing up we lived a half mile from there in all open view an we would count way over 150 cars per train. An when I move to where im at now ther was one 300ft. From the house an I miss it a lot. They took the track out soon after we moved here in Colon Michigan. 49040. Colon, Michigan the magic capital in the world. Each year they come together an do magic tricks from all over the world. Im 67 today. An im Samuel B. Y'all have a happy day now.
Now that's a town I'd like to move to! Betcha everyone knows who, what and where folks live there. Thanks again for the train videos. Be careful on the highways.
Great good made video, mr Jaw Tooth. Yes, you right this is a nice place to spot trains with location close to the tracks and to stay for a while. Yesterday (saturday) i watch a video made in fostoria? in Ohio that was a cool place to spot freighttrains man wat was it busy over there. Nice sunday mr JT. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands 🇾🇪🇺🇸
We get several trains a day through Rosamond between Bakersfield and Los Angeles. The tracks are a couple of miles from my home, but easy to hear. On weekends we can also hear motor racing sounds from the Willow Springs Raceway and there’s a small airport
Although I did strain my eyes failed to see a ponytail & long red scarf trailing out the window of the cab...as my imagination hinted that there would be. C'est la vie.
I use to own a ranch house with train track running past my fenced backyard... I use to grill steaks as i watched the trains go by... Highland Michigan. Kind of a low bridge over the M59.
Really cool spot Jawtooth! A overpass bridge, a old depot and old signal's and another bridge! And the town and church on the hill by the bridge is gorgeous! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
And he didn't even show the Big Four Bridge a bit east of where he was first filming. It is huge as it passes over the valley of the Great Miami River in Sidney. At least five extremely tall and wide concrete arches.
I watched trains in Swanton, Ohio yesterday, November 5th. Norfolk Southern mainline. A short train was sitting on the siding waiting to depart the yard and head west. Two eastbound trains passed within minutes…a slow freight and a fast intermodal. Then the train on the siding got the signal to proceed. I was parked within ten feet of that one as it lumbered by. Within the next hour two westbound trains passed by. I got very lucky to see five trains in a row. Keep up your good work.
Wooooooo, gotta run to catch these trains, you made it !! 👍 Cool area, I'm surprised that last train didn't have a DPU. Yip Sidney is a neat area !! 👍 Awesome Video !! 👍👍👍
Nice video good amount of fast moving freight trains through that town also I noticed Norfie paw at the beginning of the video showing the wide shot of the town
Great 👍 videos today JT I really like Sydney to JT that house would really be a neat place for a rail fans B&B the houses around the area are really nice 👍 I liked that old bridge and depot wow you were even able to spot a rail that was rolled in 1916 how good was that ! Again great 👍 Show as always love your great playlist you have everything for the rail fan in mind JT ! 👨✈️🤩😎👍👍🌞🙋🏻
Wiki say Sidney dates back to the 1820's when the canal was built. President Roosevelt and Reagan both came through there on a train. Did you check out the big 4 bridge? Awesome video!! Love the old depot. Thanks for this one.
I use to go through Sidney a lot when I worked for CSX. Usually we went north and south on the Toledo sub, however, we also crewed the trains for Crestline. For Crestline we would take the transfer track at the bridge and onto the ex-Conrail/NYC. For the ex-Conrail we still used Conrail Northeast rules which were quite a bit different. For one thing we didn't call signals but would repeat the defect detector. CSX employees could never figure-out the reason for that LOL The doubletrack in Marion was still directional, i.e. each side was signaled for only one direction. I had to do a "form D" to go on the opposite track. I always wanted to visit the town of Sydney (outside the railroad) and should some day. For those interested in stamp or coin collecting Sydney is the home of Amos Publishing, which publishes Scott catalogs and other stamp and coin collecting materials.
Very good video ... a lot of action, a lot of high-speed trains ... the shot through the trees was just fine. Nothing wrong with a little change up. Thanks for the great entertainment.
Perhaps one of your best videos, I applaud your hustle to get the second train. I like you CSX videos best, but you are an accomplished videographer. Please keep the great videos coming.
That was something else Jaw Tooth. Sidney seems to be a rail-fan/train-spotters place to be! 4 trains in one video. Nice one. Thanks JT.(My CB handle was Red Hercules!) Keep safe now. Cheers!
Some nice 5 car train sets on that big stack train. Wow! That last train at the 4 track was long enough to have a couple DPUs - but it didn't. I think Sidney is one of those RR towns along the east/west main lines that goes through Deshler and all.
The B&O thru Sidney is on the Cincinnati to Toledo, North to South thru Dayton, Lima, and Deshler. It is the single track you see going thru downtown Deshler.
The east and west bound line goes over the "Big 4 Bridge" about 35 yards from the old station. A man and mule fell in one of the columns and never got out
Love the old signals still in use! I'm from Long Island, NY and sadly, the Long Island Rail Road has been replacing the old Pennsylvania position signals with the red and green lights. Bummer to see them go, but they did just add almost 10 miles of a third track along the main line for more capacity and opposite direction commuter trains!
It's too bad they kept the bridges near Merillon Avenue one and two lanes. The one lane bridge should either be two lanes or closed, and the two lane bridge should be six lanes b
Another great location and some great trains. Sounds like you got a little horn salute from the 3rd train when you were on the bridge above the station. I really wish I could have been in some of these small towns back in the day when railroads were their lifeblood. Although, I'm very lucky in that I have a lot of train memories, many of them steam related, as a kid. My dad worked for the Wabash. That last train was awesome. Thanks.
Sangat bagus sekali kawan, Kereta Api barang yang sangat banyak membawa puluhan kontainer
Wow those trains had YOU bookin'. Heck yeah it counts!
Thank you very much your videos help me go to sleep at night
Looks like you had perfect weather for this video!

Love those old rails. We have a bunch of old ones here in Barre, Vermont. I was there yesterday. The oldest length of rail still in use is 1907!
Very cool! That is getting rare to see in use

I counted 7 flat spots on the first train and 28 on the third great video keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe
Thanks 👍
That has to be hard on the tracks and cars
Fantastic Film!
Many thanks!
Just east of that over/under is a huge old stone bridge over main street and the Great Miami river. It's pretty cool.
That was some great areas to film. That area with the 4 crossings was interesting with the older houses and buildings. Great video!
Wow that's crazy you got lucky on that one
Excellent run to catch train #2
Thank you very much!
Great video. JT as always. 👍👌😇🇺🇸
This is a really nice video with lots of trains. Good job. Thanks.

Great scenery. Love the buildings.. better than average
We agree!
Thanks Jawtooth. Love the way you shoot your vids, w/ the rail dating sometimes. I love to see the history behind the tracks.

I counted 120 compartments on the 1st train.
My dad lived in Sidney for a while. He talked about the massive railroad bridge they have there. I went and saw and it's pretty impressive.

What a great time to have a radar gun to check the speed of those trains when they're booking like that. Too bad you don't have one....

The east and west bound line goes over the "Big 4 Bridge" about 35 yards from the old station. A man and mule fell in one of the columns and never got out

Thanks 👍
That fifth train was a long one like you said JT. Only two engines at the front & no DPU anywhere wow.
