The S1 arrives at the workshop after a long trip. The S1 gets restored next. The tender and the locomotive get separated for restoration. Restoration and repaint work take a while. The Norfolk Southern delivers the coaches for the excursion. The abandoned S1 reemerges as PRR #6100 with a nice air horn. WB PRR #6100
Yes. These types of locomotives never had whistles. Reason was because PRR said people may never hear the whistle on an S1 due to it going fast. So this Airhorn was used instead.
Is this restoration part of the game or dlc or something else. I have train sim classic but I have never seen anything like this in the game. I am 70 and old school so please excuse my ignorance on this subject.
@cat793cdumpy In general terms, the scenarios are created with the world editor of the same game and the sounds and train textures are modified outside the game with photo and sound editing programs.
Seeing those drive wheels moving again just brings a smile to my face, truly an example of moving/living art.

@@chrisotto6421 ok ik
Wait, isn’t that the locomotive that was stationed on the top of that mountain?
What if Pennsylvania had purchased the Challenger or the Big Boy as the alternative for the passenger service?🤔

I’m glad you restored the PRR S1. Now I want you to rescue the GP20 on top of the mountain and the steam locomotive inside the church.
It's actually a GP7R
@@chrisotto6421 why do you think that?
@matthewdiblasi7293 because I googled the locomotive number and on the rr archive website the cn rail roster shows cn never had any gp20's on rosters
You should have put it with the PRR Heritage Unit ES44AC

Did the horn really sound like that back in the day? Sounds more like a moo.

What a fine design and sense of style !
leslie tyfon a-200 foghorn
Why did they install a horn instead of a whistle on PRR S1?
PRR S1 USUALLY BLOW HORN WHEN HE ARRIVES ON PENNSYLVANIA RAILWAY
@@ankitpal8965 It’s very unusual for a steam locomotive to have horns.

@@GUSTAVTIME Thank you for that. You are doing an awesome job with what you are doing here. Way over my head with this stuff.
What about the train at the top of the mountain 🏔️
@mousumibaidya2500 They say that it was used to film a movie up there and that is why it is NOT a real locomotive, it is only decorative.
Next to restore: the locomotive in the church!

Where is prr s1 duplex's whistle
PRR S1 S2 RIP
That’s a horn not a whistle🤨
Some PR duplexes were equipped with whistles and others had horns
