Worth noting is that the S5 has been given FW update that gives it the new smarter navigation and also devides the map into rooms. Nsming individual rooms have not been added though which seems a bit dumb since that is a SW feature that they have locked just because they want to.
I just wanna say how much I appreciate a review that includes a cat and a toddler. There's a lot of families that consider getting a robot cleaner but are worried how their small children or pets will get along with it. This answered that in a humorous (and informative!) way. Also your junior and cat are adorable. :3

This product is 100% worth the investment🌼 It’s mapping feature allows you to select specific rooms or areas you want clean and mark off areas that you don’t want cleaned.
I also do have the roboroc S5 about two years however, last week he all of the sudden told, that the lazer on the machine did turn around like it needs to turn...So, my machine stoped to work...Very sad because have no idea where to go here in Portugal, to let it repaired...and I do need him so much because he is fantastic in what he does !!
Maybe the laser head just stuck because dust build up over time and stops it? Try to spin the head with your fingers. Is it hard? Also get the compressed air and blow it out, maybe it will work after.
We just bought one and tried it today for the first time today. We followed the instructions, but it’s very slow and stops everytime there’s an obstacle, big or small, tablelegs etc. Is it normal it circles around before leaving the dock?

I want one more help, when all printing is finished the hotend is going backwards and hits the printer frame, I added the Tronxy X5SA in Ultimaker Cura as the Creality CR-10. How did you add yours? I tried some changes to the End G-code but nothing is working.

I just checked the new UA-cam copyright tool and indeed there is over 19 videos that are been stolen in 100% match with channels name that you mention. I fire a copyright claim now and stolen videos should be removed soon. I really can not understand why people need to steal 100% of my video and risk their You-tube channels, I would not do anything if they just take small part of my video for example, but entire 100% re-upload of my own video is just absurd and reckless. I'm have privacy concerns. The map your floor plan and sell it to different companies that pool and sell information to companies for example for directed adds but also other companies like maybe Cambridge analytica..
I understand your concerns. You dont need the app or Internet connectivity to use this vaccum cleaner. You can just press the cleaning button and the robot will build the map as usually and clean. After cleaning it will return to the base automatically. There is spot button and return to home button as well.

I wonder if I can find som instruction on how to lock it out from the WAN and only let it access my local network. But I mean if I use the app on my phone it will get the access it needs via the app... It's a cunundrum for sure.

The room divider and selector feature is available on s5 also. I think it was available since february this year.

can you make avoid mop zones? I have a carpet on my hardwood floor, so i want it to skip only the carpet area.

Yes you can but, it's not recommend as it will clean very slow with limited suction. You should remove mop attachment when not in use.

For the record I did not replace my battery I just show it how to do it. Battery on my S5 still works perfectly fine.
