GREEN SANDPIPOER---"-Tringa Ochropus"----
The green Sandpipoer somewhat Plum Wader with a dark green - brown and wings greyish head & breast & otherwise white underparts.The legs and short bill are both dark green.In its flight looks black above with boldly contrasting white rump.Often climbs sleeply when flushed & flies quickly with deep wingbeats,swooping around a little like a swallow.Breeds in clearing & marshes in west forest and woodland.
Migrants occure in fresh & brackish wetland, habitas especially on muddy shores of lakes and small ponds. Mainly found in single or in a small groups not mixing with other species.The Green Sandpipper"Tringa Ochropus" breeds across Europe & is a migratory bird, wintering in southern Europe, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia & Tropical Africa.Thanks
