Hi! Just wanted to ask why you’d choose to do a paint wash instead of varnish for wood?
I prefer the control I have with tone when Paintwashing. Achieving cooler and lighter tones can be particularly hard when using varnish/stains as they deepen the tone of the natural timber when applied, which usually results in an overall warm result. Even if the shade of varnish/stain has a light element say a white or shale tone it has to work a lot harder to neutralise the warmth coming through. Paintwashing is fast effective and completely customisable.
