Stage 4 cam, springs, J3 and cut the big rear section of the muffler out and just put a hotdog in and it'll sound like a proper worked JZ Mates AU3 has that setup with a CAI and a proper tune and it sounds absolutely insane

Been running 4480's with 100 cell cat and a redback, absolutely awesome sound and killer performance gains over stock 👍🏻👍🏻 You won't get the big gainz without getting rid of the stock cat, it robs heaps of power. Definitely opt for a cam and valve springs next but look at getting the ECU reflashed, as J3's have been known among the AU community as being either a blessing or curse. Sometimes they make big ponies, other times they won't let you even start the car 🤷🏼♂️
Sounds awesome... Good to do it justice with varied revs and drive byes too! If you do the intake I would recommend acron plastics box. Only available used now, but it provides room for a pod filter without any heat issues, and of course adds the noise factor!

Yeah, I have Pacemaker 4499 on mine because they look better. I also read 4499s are better for low to mid rpm power, and 4480s were better for high rpm power.

He got the version with the hotdog res there's only the option with the res or no res
I have the same setup in my el but without a hotdog they sound great on limiter

Best sounding headers you can get for straight 6 cyl also wouldn’t recommend j3 for au you can get them flash tune heaps more reliable

But it's an xr8. High cell cats, twin 2.5" and one muffler per bank. Sounds grouse and gives it more poke.

j3 chips are junk get a barra ecu and wiring made up way easier to tune and no dramas
