Sitting at my machine working on my current project, listening to you while you sew and talk. Feels like we are sewing in the same room. You are so much fun.
Hello from downunder!!! 👋🏻. So happy to have found you and thank you for brilliant instructions on how to make appliques. I have all the tools in the shed (just different brands) and have now worked out how to applique my chicken salad blocks with the suggested software. Love learning how to use my tools in better ways 😁
Hi Becky, Nice job on Penny. Always enjoy your channel. Keep quilting and having lots of fun. P.S. Oh, forgot to share that I'm now RETIRED 3 months and LOVING IT!!!!! Making lots of quilts and doing more cross stitching. Be blessed....Alberta from Southern MD
A suggestion…. If you put a long ribbon on your ironing pad, you can throw the end of the ribbon onto the front of your hoop. This would remind you your pad is still behind your hoop.
Hi and such a fun chat! I had a busy day hand quilting and my fingers are now sore, LOL. I hope you have a cheerful week ahead. Thank you for posting and for your expertise.
I'M GLAD TO SEE YOU BACK AT THE LUMINAIRE SO I CAN WATCH WHICH BUTTONS YOU PUSH TO DO WHAT. YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY! I GUESS WITH PRACTICE IT BECOMES SECOND NATURE TO YOU. I LOVE WATCHING YOU AND ALL YOUR VIDEOS.😊😊😊😊 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOU DO FOR US!😊😊😊😊
I love your videos! You have inspired me to try things I never knew my machine could do, it was given to me by my mom so I didn't get the opportunity for lessons from the dealer. She showed me some things but they were simple embroidery projects nothing like you do. Plus, lets face it, I just don't listen to mom like I should, lol.
Fun video again today! I love the Lori Holt chickens and can't wait to see your finished quilt. The new intro is great! Going to check out the Snowman Appliqué pattern. Looks adorable. Thanks for all the helpful info!
Love watching you! When you get the fabric sorted please show us! How do you keep track of your kits? I just went on a spree and bought several (okay, more than I needed) now I need to organize.
This was so fun just to listen to the chat while you sewed and I was doing my sewing too! You always make me feel like a close friend. Have a blessed day.
I put my bindings on the same way. I need to practice on the ScanNCut to cut pieces. I mess up every time. Love watching you. You make it so simple. I need to practice, practice, practice. Lol.
Hi -- I love your videos! I was wondering if you have done any videos or have a good resource for learning how to scan a drawing into the machine and then be able to stitch around the design, like you described for the chicken legs. I have a Brother Stellaire machine and I think I can do the same thing (just a little differently) but I would love a visual of the process. Thank you!
I now have the Hey Y'all quilt kit. My niece picked it for her graduation quilt ... She also goes "change out the "Hey Y'all" to something A&M". 🙄😂. Adapt and Over Come...
WHHHATTT? Oh no! lol Well, I fully understand but what about keeping the center panel and then adding in some A&M accents in the other square blocks? Otherwise just use the pattern to make an A&M quilt with a t-shirt in the middle. :)
@@PowerToolsWithThread I think I'm will use the panel as a template and make an ATM applique in the center. The kid hasn't a clue.... She's the one in your neck of the woods 😂... Her brother did me the same way. He changed what I was going to make. Their mom said don't give them a choice! Just make and give. The kids wouldn't know the difference.
I signed up for Quilt Camp. Yeah. Fun times coming. It starts day after my birthday, July 13th. I will enjoy that. I never mind watching your videos over. I have about 5 snowmen patterns which are part of a whole quilt. The snowmen are with forest animals. They are so very cute. The snowmen are different too. Maybe you can find a way to cut the snowman into two pieces so you can use your magnetic hoop instead of sewing it on your Luminaire 2 have a great time at your coast home with Lisa. Enjoy the Sewing Conference too. Is that conference going to be various sewing techniques and not just quilting?
I think that conference is all about sewing vs. any quilting or embroidery. When I sewed only garments, I was a member of ASG. I agree about halving the snowman but it's a large piece and should be pretty easy to applique the old fashioned way.
Hiya Becky, Yes I love the new intro. You always do good work. Couldn't write earlier, am coming off of a migraine though my eye. All ok now just can't sew or crochet for another week. Your the best and yes I do my binding that way as well. God bless you both. Alda Perth West Australia Don't know how to get emoji's on this windows 11. Wanted to send you hearts and smiles xxx
Thank you for sharing your Lori Holt design and how you embroider them. I saw something in the corner by your sergers. It look like a cow design. What is it and Where did you get that? You always have the coolest things.
Thank you! That is a paper piecing project called The Cow Abstractions Quilt. I know I'll never make it but it's too cute to get rid of. Why or why did I buy it? Here's a link. shrsl.com/3lcej
Hi Becky, where did you find the She Who Sews panel, I have not been able to find it. Love your show. and what you call a mess behind you gave me a great idea on how to set up my machines on my table. Like the serger out of the way but still in site to remember to use, you give me inspiration with all your shows. Thank You
Does that brother embroidery machine you use need to have all those tools you use? How did you learn all that, seems like a lot. And, do you know what it costs these days ( if you don’t mind my asking). Thx❤️
The machine came with the scanning mat and the capacitive pen to make the chick legs into an embroidery file. I've learned by watching UA-cam videos and playing with the machine. I purchased the ScanNCut and Simply Applique software separate. Cost? I could have bought a used car instead! :D
Enjoyed watching this video. You make it look so simple. Does Keith have names for the "Dixie Chicks"? I hope these little birds will be safe from coon, hawks and all the other things that love little chicks.
It's usually me that names our animals and he tends to name vehicles. :-) Those little babies will have a full covered enclosure and hardware cloth fencing that goes down 12" into the ground. If anything can get through that, I think we've done our best.
No, it wasn't kitted and the owner was out. I asked a lady if they'd do it but since they don't have the gray stars, she wasn't sure. So some yardage of the fabrics I showed and the layer cake will be plenty.
Love the new intro. I see you didn’t hoop your background fabric. Did you baste it or pin it down so it wouldn’t move? Love that 10 x 16 mag e tic hoop.
I would love to join this with you BUT I’m so confused regarding Embrilliance design. I have a Brother PR1000. Can I get some assistance. Please. Can you Dm me.

don't know how I missed this one.. oh gardening and longarming. love ya Becky
The snowman is adorable
HAPPY 21st ANNIVERSARY to you and Keith
Lots of fun visiting your sewing room.
We have the same type of chickens. They know when we bring the black pan. They get a treat. Spoiled chickens. Love the eggs!!
It sew good to see you sewing again. I miss you sewing and applique.

Our pool was green last year & I don;t think we ever got it clear last year, but it looks good this year We live in Ohio
It is a very nice sewing machine.

Becky, your hair is looking really good! Did you find a new hair dresser? Looking on point lady!
with Rhode Islands you have great egg layers but much on the meat but just a really nice chicken over all
Sew happy you and Lisa are going to spend some time together….I know you must miss your quilting buddy. Make her shoot a video with you !

Yes, it's all about repetition and getting used to the capabilities of the machines. You'll get there!

Love the new intro !!!. What is the size of the Dime Monster hoop you use?
Thanks! That magnetic frame is the 10 x 16.
I like the idea of Simply Appliqué but I have a Mac computer. Is there something like this compatible for Mac users?
There's nothing for a Mac that I'm aware of, however I have heard that it will run with Parallels and a Windows OS on a Mac.
Becky would you ever consider doing a retreat on using the scan n cut from very beginning to understanding the software
Perhaps. I'll discuss it with Allbrands and see if they want to host. Great idea! Thanks!

Here's a link to that panel. In the Fabric Selection drop down, the panel is still available. Have fun! tidd.ly/3ufLdX3

Sulky's KK2000 and pins.

Do you still have the thread for sale? If so I'm interested.
Sorry no. I was gone in a flash. You've got to be super quick around this bunch!
How big did you make the little ironing pad that you use under the hoop?
It finishes out at 7.5" square.
Did they have a kit for the snowman?

He's busy enough with other things. LOL
Hey Becky, love your work. Can I ask you, is the scan & cut SDX1000 alright as a first one or do you recommend another one?
I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with that model.
@@PowerToolsWithThread not to worry, maybe just an Australian model. thanks for replying, cheers

It is spray basted and pinned to float it.
Allbrands on the 30th??????

Simply applique is for PC only and I have a Mac Book. Sigh. (no, I am not dividing my Mac to use PC software). But looks great otherwise.
