My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 24ft 2002 Ford Bigfoot Class C and tow either a 2014 Smart Car named “Tater Tot” or my 2012 Harley Softail Slim named “Black Betty” in a 6x10 trailer. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

Just got out of LA County Jail and we all watched Nomadic Fanatic every new episode.
All the inmates love Erik and his diet because it’s so similar to how the inmates eat, but they love seeing the pizza, burgers ( even with no decorations )

I never stayed at that Harvest Host, which is actually in Hatch, and not in Las Cruces. There is another brewery actually in Las Cruces that is really good. That being said, the reviews on the place in Hatch were all very positive, including comments regarding the staff. Maybe the person just had a bad day, which we all have sometimes.

It is always amazing how many people were always going to buy something and offer more after you sell, had that happen many times, happy you sold it safe travels!

Who got your RV? I sure would like to see. That's how I got to get to know the other RV traveler's through your channel. I'm the fan that got hurt two years ago and getting treatments to walk again. Good news I took my first steps without the canes. Not much but it's a start. And your channel keeps me going.

Very judgemental about a person who you know nothing about basing it on a one time meeting. You don't know how her day is going or what's happening in her life. Everyone is allowed to have a bad day very dramatic and judgemental.
The RV went to someone who really needed it. No better way to do it.
I think Tara feels safer because of the insulation, the acoustics and the driving comfort, and that she is a bit older and more mature (and used to moving). I noticed right away on the tour that she behaved differently, her body language, and the expression in her eyes. 🐾🐾🥰
That bartender had to be pretty bad to leave an impression like that.
The pizza looked great. I thought I remember when you drove HWY 60 east through Pie Town, NM and had a good triip. Las Cruces is not a favorite area for my NM travel either. Opie seems to like the BIgfoot, and Tara is doing well too. Safe travels.
I always like that route.. Pie Town is mostly always a pass thru for me. Nothing usually happening that early when I drive.. best way to leave nm tho going west imo. No people.
🟠 Eric, noticed your airbag light is on? I think it's the airbag, if not obv. disregard. - FYI: The bolt that goes thru the airbag sensor in the front of the vehicle (maybe sensors elsewhere also) completes a ground to the chassis. (located next to headlight / radiator or so) (In my 2005 Ford Five Hundred), mine became corroded and lost grounding, light would flicker on and off. Bolt snapped when i went to remove and clean the ground, so make sure you use plenty of liquid-wrench and rock the threads gingerly while removing. I ended up drilling it out and re-tapping the hole, new bolt, and light went out. Do a search for airbag sensor for your specific vehicle and that should help identify / locate where on the veh. yours is placed and what it looks like.

Question...If your homebase is in Arizona why are you registering your RV. in Texas?
I can't prove I live in Arizona just because I purchased land there. That's not how legal system works. I have no utility bills in Arizona. The law won't even allow to try to say I "live" in Arizona until I can prove such

Years ago, you reviewed the Hormel Completes. This past summer, had no power so I put a Hormel meal minus the cardboard , didn't vent it either..on my suv dash facing the sun. Within I hour or 2 hours in winter I have got a hot meal just using the sun's rays in an enclosed car. 😎
I always thought that driving at night was the best time. That's the only time I drive when going on trip. Also when I get my retirement check Cracker Barrel is were I treat myself before committing to paying my bills

I still think NM arts, Native and Spanish culture, and outdoors still makes it worth it, but have to be self sufficient or minimalistic on rest to just use it selectively where things aren't that thrilling.

Eric, I'm surprised you don't transfer your Registration and ID to Arizona that way you don't have to travel to texas to deal with that. Just an Idea since you have property in Arizona just something to look into my friend. Also you have an Airbag light on in the Bigfoot please pull the codes.

I understand the frustration, especially from service coming from a former service person, but you’re missing some things that I think would change your mind about NM ~ Mesilla , Pecan Orchards and riodioso (sp.) some very unique destinations for a viewer of a nomad 🌮🍻

Eric.....not sure if you know this yet but this is the last year you will need to get your vehicles inspected before you can get your Texas registration. Starting in 2025 you will be able to do it online and have your registration sent to where ever you are.

I’ve been in Phoenix for 35 years usually we get freezing weather for a few days around end of the year, and into early January. I’m told pipes do get damaged although I’ve never seen it. I think if you live outside the city might get into the teens. One year I remember it got below 20 for a few hours. I like the cold weather lot better than 119F.
My hubby liked to drive our RV last night. He used to be one of those truckers you see at night.
A good new Mexico experience awaits you in Albuquerque at the El pinto Restaurant, they have served x presidents and you can buy their salsa at most stores, best New Mexican ever😊
We love Crackerdocking. We often arrive to an empty lot before closing and have CB dinner. In the morning there are usually RVs all around us; lot dockers love company for safety in numbers. I buy breakfast, and make sure to leave a positive review and a thank you on the CB feedback site. CB beats Wallydocking any day, and I do everything I can to keep the privilege. Harvest Host is usually okay, but that off-property parking thing was pretty weird. So Eric, what happened with the bartender?

No way man. Best pizza ever is the Hoffstedder at Chico's in Moses Lake, Washington. That pizza has ruined all pizzas for me for life, which sucks as I'm in Canada. 😂 I will be passing through there in May/June 2024 to get to a wedding in Idaho and I am DEFINITELY going out of my way to get that pizza again.

I have been watching you for many years and noticed that you don't spend any .winters in south Texas, like from Galveston to South Padre Island and up the Rio Grande to Del Rio. There is a lot of free camping around the coast, especially my favorite place, Magnolia Beach & Indianola Beach.
I feel the same way about New Mexico, I have been there several times and never felt like I needed to go back but it is between some other places I like. Arizona comes to mind. I wish California was a better place but too many crazies there for me. Washington state was an alright place to visit but it could really use more sunshine.

I really hope it doens't happen to you, but I knew a guy once that had that same kind of air ride, air bag suspension or whatever on his caddy and it was expensive to repair, and it seemed to go out and give him trouble somewhat often. that was probley just because it was a caddy though, im sure that thing was built way better up in canada.

Driving a big rig my favorite time to drive was at night until day break and then sleep for a few hours and then drive after the all the work traffic was finished.. Oh and I’ll be you huckleberry. lol

Looks like you are racing a major artic cold front to get to Texas. I am in San Antonio, and it is supposed to get in the low 20's/high teens temperatures Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (Jan. 15, 16, 17). Make sure your propane stock is good and you park someplace with shore power! Yer gonna need that four-season Bigfoot...

That’s too bad about New Mexico…Utah was my “NEVER drive through state”, as we always, ALWAYS had truck or car problems there. Luckily, that all disappeared, and I absolutely love New Mexico! Give it another try, and stay in Santa Fe or Taos…great cities! For the past 25 years now, we’ve been able to NOT have a “bad” state, but then again, I PROBABLY JUST JINXED MYSELF!
