How to Install lowering Springs on a BMW F15 X5

- Installing lowering spring is not difficult but you will need a few tools. You might want to take it to a shop if you don't have a good collection of tools.

Looks like you have the N55. Go MHD or bootmod3 for a tune.
Brother I’ll love to know when you change the spring will any warning light will come on in the dash board ? Will it interfere with any sensors ? Or everything will be normal ?
No lights changing the springs will affect nothing

Hi…I’ve got a 2015 X5 50i. It has bags on the rear. I had a mechanic installed H&R lowering springs and height adjustment links. Are the links suppose to be installed on the rear control arms or front? Just trying to determine if my install was done correctly. The rear is sitting high with some wheel gap. I read in the comments on this post the rear will level out automatically on 2015s and up.
The link needs adjusting to make it go lower. It should level itself out after.
You have to get a wheel realignment after lowering any vehicle to prevent tire wear
Yeah I’m thinking to lower my car as well. But my car does have JB4, Charge pipe, M Power kit and M performance exhaust and it’s much quicker now plus I installed the gas paddle controller it doesn’t have turbo lug anymore and I also installed AEF stage 2 air intake that’s one of the best intakes because BMS just filter it’s sucks.

Hi, I have an msport x5 x25d f15 2018, the car has the adaptive suspensions. Is it possible to install the same h&r kit or is better to replace the sospensions also?

Thanks for the video. I have an F15 X5 50i MSport and I noticed it already rides pretty stiff. I'm not sure if it's because its an MSport. I'm wondering if I get the H&R lowering springs if it'll ride stiffer? How was your ride after the install?

No it trial and error. Just make it 1/2 inch shorter
i just installed the exact same kit on my BMX X6 and the car now rides like a horse where it's super bumpy. Is that normal? Do I have to wait for the new springs to settle or something?
That's why I said I wouldn't recommend it it's too bumpy

Gloss blk one y spokes they fit the funky look of the x6. Lowered on some 20s there's no car that looks even close that nice video best luck to ya in future vids

So when you said you need to program the rear links, I have a 2016 X5M, how much did the shop run you to do that? Or is there something I can do myself to program it. I just don’t want the car to show an issue on my display.
You don't have to do it with the 2016. Only the 2014 is having this issue

If you can find links only. If ita 2014 the ride will be shifty. 2015 and up rides fine

I'm going to say it for the last time I would not reccomend it. It will drive like crap if you have air bags in the rear

Back air suspension how you calibrate those things?
If you have 2015 and up it will adjust itself. If 2014 you have to get someone to program it, that's why I dont recommend it for the 2014.

If you have a 2015 and up you will hardly notice the difference.

You lower the air with the lowering links and the air bags adjust to the height of the links. You cou get someone to program it but if its 2015 and up it will adjust itself

The system had to be reprogrammed because it can't adjust automatically

bro if you want to tune your car to make it quicker, all you need to do is go to "bootmod3.com" get a software licence and buy a OBD port and you are ready to tune you car. at last, good job on lowering your car. keep it up.!!

Adjust the end links to make them longer and take it for a ride. Clear the code before if you can
They saying my air compressor is no good cause my car won’t lift what you think can this happen by install the links it’s been a week and a half and car won’t lift in the back
My 20 14 was like that. U might need software update or find a bmw specialist NOT the dealer to program the height like I did.

Don't know what code he talking about. A bmw mechanic program mine because the first gen could not recognize the height. The first gen rode Luke crap and bounced around like crazy. The lci recognized and adjusted itself. I wouldn't recommend it but maybe you might have better luck.
