You're one-stop shop for all suspension needs and clunks with the vehicle. I own a year older than yours. Thank you, thank you. I'm just getting in to dealing with this clunking. And now I know what to do. Really appreciate it liked and subscribed.
Thanks for this video! Upper front control arm bolts needed drilled out on my '11 x5 35d as they were so corroded. Thank you Canadian road salt! Appreciate you sharing this video, as well as explaining other variants (my x5 has 3rd row and rear air suspension). I haven't refreshed my struts yet, but odometer around 375000 kms, I am likely due for new suspension soon. Thanks again, keep up the great work!
Great video, particularly your knowledge of torque specs and undercarriage positioning of jack stands in conjunction with the lift. Also, I have taken out of the top bolt of the sway bar link and found I had no control of the spindle which fell towards me. I used bungee cords to hold it up, Next time I will leave it in place as you did.
Great video, thanks! I have to do this to my 2013 next week. Parts are under way, however my is a bit more complicated since It has adaptive struts, and I do have to compress the springs.
Great video, just swapped my stock 200k setup with some Ceika coils for my lift. Good tips on the front upper wishbone to spindle bolt. Without running the impact and loosening that up that way they are near impossible to get out. I somehow figured that out on my own since this was my second time around. I also do jack trick on back for springs, works excellent! Didn't know about strut monkey, good to know. Thanks for the tips! Biggest problem I had was lower rear shock bolt. Completely seized. What a nightmare
I also changed the rear airbags and I am interested Can someone tell me what the exact manufacturer is, the height of the vehicle on the rear axle, I now have 19-inch rims and the height from the bottom of the rim to the bumper is 705mm, is that ok?
Great video. Did the front along with sway bar links in about 2 hours. The cold chisel came in clutch. On the rear bolt I went a little quick and cross threaded the first few threads. Any tips? I am going to try to clean with a tap before going crazy.
How did you get rid of the LEVEL MALFUNCTION that always pops out in a dashboard from air suspension to spring coil replacement? Is it need to decode or delete?
Just one quick question mine's an MI got the real white tires in the back.Is there anything different?I know the strut monkey deal.I'm gonna have to get the right ones for my car.But the procedure i'm assuming is the same correct
If you supported the knuckle you wouldn't have to pound the bolt out to separate the upper control arm and risk damaging the threads. I've seen it happen a million times.
I've been tasked with swapping out the front springs on the bosses X5, this was was a big help, with torque settings as well. Thank you from England 👌
what a fantastic video, thank you for posting such detailed and informative info

No problem at all. Thanks for watching!
So much clarity of each step! great to see these videos!
Perfect video. Great info on the torque specs for every bolt. Dropping my X5 ~3" this weekend
Beautiful! great video. Thank you for putting this out there!
@@clu_11 no problem, thank you for the comment!

King what’s the size of the springs you used at the back

@@jordonwhitney1911 will try it out next time. This bolt was very corroded on this vehicle though. Thanks for the input
I forgot to say that I have an F15 model
@@nevenkobrestovac8101 I can measure what an f15 is here
so if it's not difficult for you, you can measure for me if it has 19-inch rims
Do not swap real springs like that... I have problem with paking brake now...
@@tadas3x What's the issue with the parking brake? The modules are very common to fail, might just be a coincidence.
