    Bought the lexmoto version same bike but less money. Darryl Redmill your right needs to be 350-400cc struggles on hills and with head winds the rest of the bike would handle more power easily. So as soon as a big bore kit is available I will fit one. Along with a decent ECU.

    Very good review, I am very glad that you liked the bike because many people in my country, Perú, did not like it because of its price and what it offered, but personally I love it, it was brought to Peru by a brand called Ssenda under the name of patagonia 250 v8 as the successor of the patagonia 169 (bullit bluroc 125), and the two differences that I noticed, was that the bullit comes with ABS brakes, instead to Peru it arrived with CBS brakes, although I am not very sure of this figure, the data sheet indicates that it arrived to Peru with 21. 6 hp, however, thanks for talking about this bike, I love to know more about it and I hope to buy it someday.

    It's worth pointing out that the bike has a phenomenally long long stroke of 66mm. Most two fifty twins are around 50mm, so despite what the official foot pounds stats are the engine will always feel really gutsy (not gutless)!

  • @bigtoe333333
    @bigtoe333333 4 роки тому +5

    Another good vid, thanks guys. I think this looks absolutely lovely. As you say this might be one for those who like to cruise rather than race. It deserves to be a success, but I do wonder if the low hp figure will deter some buyers from even trying it out.
    This seems like its not much faster than a good 125, but it has a big advantage over a 125, in that it will keep up with A road traffic around 60 or 70mph at lower revs than a 125, so its probably going to a lot easier covering longer distances.
    Maybe that's its niche- if your commute includes 15 miles of fast A roads you can do it on this bike without the engine screaming and being near to the redline the whole time, and its not much dearer than a high-end 125cc.

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  4 роки тому +2

      It does get up to speed much quicker than a 125 too

    • @bigtoe333333
      @bigtoe333333 4 роки тому +4

      @@motorsforthemasses , another big plus point then- no pinning the throttle hard and crouching down, watching the needle crawl up up from 50 to 60mph.
      This makes a lot of sense for those who want a light, cheap bike that costs not much more than a 15bhp 125cc, that will keep up with A road traffic (and will probably be ok on the inner lanes of a motorway for a while) with a lot less fuss than a 125cc, and wont annoy you by screaming its lungs out the whole time it is above 55mph.
      The key thing for the target demographic is they will have passed their A2 test at least, so they may be slightly older, they wont mind that it doesnt have a the same overtaking speed as a 25hp 250, and they want something with those classic good looks- and this is one of the best looking 250s around.
      If you look at the other 250cc options for around £3.5k (which is probably what you'll start seeing these for on autotrader), they are mostly used, probably dropped a couple of times, and the engine might have taken a hiding from the previous owner.
      I do wish they'd upped the power by just 2 or 3 bhp, not so much for the actual performance, but from a marketing viewpoint- to just give it that bit of separation from the group of 125s that have 15bhp, and that on the face of it, look like direct competition.
      It deserves to be a winner- you can only hope people stop and think about what it can actually do better than a 125, and much cheaper than other 250s, and that they don't just turn away when they see the bhp figure.

    I picked up a Svartpilen 401 with 800 miles on the clock for £3900. I had a Bullit Spirit 125 - it was nice but lacked power, and had some build quality issues. My Svartpilen feels so much better made, designed and finished. With so many great deals around on the Svartpilen's I'd suggest that as better option.

      Hi Neil, that is a tricky choice. I would say it depends on what you need it for. If you want to do green laning, the Hero would be better, if for country lane jaunts and trips out, the Bluroc would be better. If you are 5ft 10 and above, the Hero would be good, but shorter than that, may be a struggle. Rider satisfaction, the hero is better.

    Loved the bike and it's sound, but I'd change the handle bar. Looks a bit weird, with the horizontal bar and it looks very tall. But maybe it would make it a less comfortable riding position. NOx is one of the reasons diesel cars are getting banned/more restricted along with carbon soot. As you increases compression ratios for fuel efficiency and power combustion temps go up causing N2 in the air to combust with O2. High performance per litre engines aka motorcycle engine produce more NOx

  • @justkidding9751
    @justkidding9751 Рік тому

    Lovely looking bike but spoilt by the lack of HP 16 BHP on a 250 is ridiculously low, should be a minimum of 25 BHP. You can get 16 BHP out of some standard 125 cc bikes. Shame really and a bit pointless. My old TDR 125 in the 90s had 18 BHP and was good for 90 MPH. So this bullit would be very disappointing, it's got the looks of a much better bike than it actually is. It's really sad when they make something look so good yet its let down by the low power output and poor MPG, 60 MPG not good I can get that from my Kawasaki ER6F and thar has 74 BHP. £3700 is far too much for a 16 BHP machine.

    I honestly don't like it........ it reminds me of the Yamaha TW 200......in fact that what it is all but name and engine......... the engine is Yamaha's V twin from the Virago?............ why couldn't it have a 21 inch front wheel or 19 inch and an 18 inch rear wheel and a 250 single cylinder engine....... a full front mudguard... not a quarter one......... then you could class it as a true trail bike which don't exist any more........because in today's market you either have the commuter bike or an off-road bike today there is no such thing as a trail bike any more the closest is the Yamaha xt250 SEROW............... why don't the Chinese use that engine and copy the bike and sell it in the UK. meaning Yamaha will not bring the bike to the UK themselves.......... we must be the only country in the world that Yamaha will not import this bike to. yet everyone that comes over here has a grey import get snapped up very quickly........ it seems there's something strange about this word "trail bike" nobody wants to make one let alone sell it........ yet it is the true dual purpose motorcycle.
    Description of a trail bike........ it has an 18 inch rear and 21 inch front wheel....... it has a low seat height of about 830-40 mm it has a trials bike steering angle so it can be manoeuvred very easily...... it as a reasonable sized tank for a 250 of about 13 to 14 L...... it has like a trial bike a full front mudguard.......... it's engine size is between 250 and 400cc and they are single cylinders 4 stroke air cool, it had the option as well to change the front mudguard from low to high. also the brake pedal is not hanging below the foot pedal it goes over the top like trials bike.
    that bike doesn't exist today. yet it did years ago in the 70s and 80s ...........today's motorbikes are becoming a joke they are becoming impractical............ the seat height is too high.......... the fuel tanks to small............ unless you buy the I need a ladder to get on it an adventure bikes......... which are way too heavily and to complicated to be an adventure bike........ and overpriced. for what they are.............. a motorbike is just two wheels frame and an engine.......so why are they costing more than a car in some cases. work out how much material goes into making your average bike compared to your average car............. it seems society hates motorbikes if they have to sell them then they have to be ridiculous to try and put people off buying them............. it's no wonder all our young people are turning to cars these days...................and the proof of that in the 50's- 60's - 70's even early 80's young people rode motorbikes now they all drive cars. The mass of young people riding motorbikes today are the ones that are riding them illegally you seen them in their gangs riding around the streets doing wheelies. giving motorcycling a bad name.
