Thanks a lot mate from India. This bike looks fantastic it is perfect for city rides. You are right when you say this 250cc thing should have done by Harley instead they keep on making expensive bikes. Why will buy an expensive bike like Harley when I want a bike for daily use. This along with Honda Rebel 300 looks perfect and economical.
This could be ideal for me! I’m 6’1 & like forward controls! I’m 74 and always had Harleys , but now, Harley’s are just too heavy to back up! I love riding and I’m going to check this out in the Spring!
What a nice review! I own this for almost 7 months now, with Keeway brand on it and a back rest on the passenger seat. For those who plans to buy it, my advise is these: - It's a pretty good ride for daily commuters, but not so in traffic jam. - A comfy riding style if you're 5,5 ft height, but might want to adjust the handlebar position a little bit to avoid sore wrists. - Got some issue on the engine heat radiating to my right calf, sometimes to the left calf but not as hot as the right one. Might want to consider installing a small fan or protectors on the right side engine near the air filter. - The speedometer position is good, but sometimes it reflecting lights from the sun if the sun is up on your head around noon. - The belt system is very nice to have, but have to clean every now and then to avoid squeaking noise after rain or washing the bike as they get a bit squeaky, you can also use the WD-40 Belt Dressing or similar for car's belt dressing as well. - The rear shock is so soft that taking a 72-ish KG in driver seat and 45-ish KG in passenger seat will make the shock feels so bouncy. Or maybe that's just how it was setup when I got it from dealership. - The exhaust is good enough to sound almost like a Harley with a silencer. I removed the sound absorber inside the exhaust by burning it in a exhaust workshop, and now it sounds much better but you might want to get a custom instead.
Great price, great tank range and another great review. Slowly but surely these Chinese bikes are making inroads here in the UK. The quality does seem to be much improved - depending on the parent company of course. Congrats on breaking the 10k subs barrier! 👍
As I look at the bike again, I see the guard work up front and think to myself "How clever!" It looks really nice first off. but then you think if they ever wanted to go with a liquid cooled engine they have a pre-positioned place for the radiator and oil cooler with zero re-design necessary. Brilliant!
When reviewing bikes I think it's always worth quoting the cylinder bore and stroke as they immediately tells us how the engine feels. Long stroke motors feel quite torquey even if they're not but the downside is that they don't rev smoothly upwards of 6,000 rpm so are limited in their top speed. Short stroke need to be revved pretty hard but have better top speeds. I always enjoy your reviews. Thanks for posting.
Brilliant..loved the spoof at the start...that is one of Harleys major issues with its previous marketing and sales strategy. It simply ignored the other bike markets and simply continued to produce the safe and "manly" cruising bikes. And it recent times their customer base is too old and not diverse enough. Thats their major issue with surviving. And the thing is, they could've put some really lovely bikes out there into the sports, electric and even adventurer markets. Anyways.... loved this review and bike.what a package. Lokks like great value and what an entry model to get people into cruisers/muscle bikes. Great review again guys...
That engine in a light sportbike would be great. I really think the sound is very good. Sort of a modern Moto Morini. Will be interesting to watch this company grow.
Grate review guys I'm new to your channel and now caughting up on your older Videos. At the moment I'm riding a 99 st1100 pan European.keep up the grate work.
13:12 nail on head for me, 25 and want a cruiser for commuting, I’m 6ft and 22stone metal head, I would get a VT125 shadow but thinking it might be underpowered, however I can ride that on L plates. Decisions decisions
Exelant review, I've watched several V Bob reviews and yours has been the best. Your correct about Harley Davidson they need to wake up and get some new models on the market as once Euro 5 starts their air cooled range will be unavailable in the UK ! Also as you say they need to get a smaller capacity V twin out. I myself have a Softail Streetbob and may in the not to distant future downsize from to a much smaller capacity V twin. The Bullit V Bob may be what I would look for.
Really enjoying your videos. I returned to 2 wheels last year after a 25 year hiatus. Been riding a Herald 250 classic but looking to go to a cruiser type that can commute and keep up with traffic on the odd bit of dual carriageway i do. This looks like an interesting option.
Thanks very much for showing us this bike. It looks and sounds great but I think you identified the major downside towards the end, namely the DVSA licencing rules. Only riders with an A2 licence or above can ride it, and I wonder if a new A2 holder looking for a cruiser would look upwards towards the excellent Honda Rebel rather than this machine. That said the Bullitt would make a terrific second bike for weekend jolly japes or even for commuting.
I was thinking the same. Wanna get my license soon and the Rebel is awesome, though this has forward controls and I’ve heard the Rebel is a little small.
Another good review guys . Always liked 250’s ( probably as they were my learners.) enough power for most jobs with low cost and economy not everyone has several grand to splash on a bike Ok this is not a performance 250 but it seems a lot of bike for the money Chrome pipes imho would give it a more cruiser look but it obviously would cost more so the matt Black is understandable
Good points raised about the A2 licence, yes of course the present day laws make no sense whatso ever. I've seen other reviews on this bike and nothing you said here changed my opinion. The pipes are too loud for a 250 to the point of being anti-social and the front mounted cheese grater (fake radiator) is a huge mistake. Apart from that, I really like the bike, I can see it as a great base for modification.
They will release this in the Philippines soon. Under the name of Longjia V-Bob. I'm excited to try one out and maybe buy one someday. Thanks for the amazing review guys!
Thanks Boys! That sounds very nice for a 250. Wish we had that bike here in Canada. Looks like it would be a great starter-bike for sure. How come the youngster doesn't do any of test-riding?
William B. Thanks Will! The UK motorcycle licensing laws are so stupid that it’s not financially viable for him to do the A1 license and then have to do the A2 license, so he’s going to wait till next year.
What's up, fellas! Great work on this one. I especially enjoy when you two work together. Ol'Man, you nearly fit on her, Mate! Given your stature I'm impressed that you fit as well as you do. Big kudos to the bike for that. I really like it. Looks great, sounds great, build looks really nice. Seems to go pretty well also. Amazing! I see great value in this bike. I also see that this company more or less specializes in small displacement machines. They all look ripper! One does wonder though... When the V-Bob takes off, and I think it will - there may be a hunger for them to produce an even bigger machine of 500cc or more - That would be a big step. And possibly a big gamble. I know I'm probably getting ahead of myself, but this bike could do very well. Thanks again for the piece.
Yes, best height would be 5'8" - 5'10" but it's not bad for taller people. I don't like the number plate thingy either, but you see it on so many bikes now - ever manufacturer copies each other
Also you can normally get brackets that will put the number in a different place, perhaps this is something that you can get for this bike but I haven’t looked into it. Just know that that is an option with the Harley fat bob
Would have been perfect for the people who have the A2 license and want to start on a Harley haha, well that one's looking pretty good and sound very good wow, nice bike I still have the A2 XD for now, changing it very soon to the full A license, aah european rider problems haha greetings from Romania m8,subbed today, just found the channel I started riding in 2018 on a Yamaha Virago 250,this year got a Yamaha Dragstar 650 and the next one hope it's gotta be a Harley :)
I think if you upgrade to A2 this would not be the first choice, it looks cool, nice sound, but 16 hp, and all that weight, sad that this bike needs A2,, but it looks fantastic :)
Shame about the awful licence plate holder..needs a side mount or a tail tidy..otherwise is lovely if possibly a little short if you like to stretch out
Good starter bike if you are into Cruisers, a baby Fatbob for sure, wonder will Harley sue for design theft ? The smaller Harley you mentioned is the Street range. I seen one in the showroom in the Performance Orange colour, makes it 10 times better looking that colour.
Cool review lads! Nice little bike tbh. Not my cup of tea ( engine size ) but would love to see it with more "off road style" tyres as rather scrambler or flat track ish bike. 🤔
Sir, in India Benneli's sister company Keeway, has launched a bike called K light 250V. Can you please tell me if both the bike in this video and K light 250V are same? It looks very similar.
They probably are the same, a lot of Chinese manufacturers buy a base bike from a factory and multiple brands essentially sell the same bike with a different badge on it

Go for the meteor 100% build quality is worlds apart, the meteor is a fantastic quality beautiful machine with lots of character. The bullit is made in China and the build quality just isn’t as good. The royal Enfield will last you longer 👍🏻
Ok I think I’m probably sold! I was thinking bigger, but it’s for a commute of 15 miles. Bit cooler than the sinnis shuttle I’m on at the mo lol..accessories?
Hey Mr Darcy & the Ol’ Man, great video and great bike also! How does it feel to ride it in two? Did you try it? Does it have enough space on the back seat?
Awesome looking bike. I’m seriously considering it as a first bike though the scuttlebutt about Chinese quality makes me wary. Your review of the Monkey had me thinking about that too; a 125 that knows exactly what it is and is worth keeping around even with a full license.
@@imarockstarme No harm in having a couple of lessons on a 650 to see how you get on. I had the same dilemma and came very very close to buying a 125 but I'm so glad I didn't
David Clark You’d be more than ok on the 250 or even a 400. It kind of depends where you want to end up. You could still take the full and ride something smaller, or do the A2 and keep within the parameters
Thanks all for the advice. I’m more interested in cruising/touring than blinding speed so a 250 or 400 could be a forever bike, but let’s be honest, probably won’t be. Too many beautiful bikes out there! Keep the awesome work on the channel!
Great review ! I've just ordered this bike couple weeks ago, will probably get it in october. I just have one doubt with this bike ,it's the size of the rear tyre (140/70). Do you think its possible to go for a wider one?
I love seeing bikers that aren't all negative and hateing on affordable Chinese bikes, and showing that they have came along way and are better built these days. I have a AJS highway star 125 and people will ask me what it is saying looks great and suprised when I say it's a 125 but when they realise it's a cheaper Chinese bike £2300 brand new not £5500 lol. They have alot a shit to say about it. You should do a video showing older Chinese bikes with hight miles and show they are still going. Have friends who have so called Japanese bikes and had nothing but trouble and brake down at 1000 miles here I am at 5500 miles no issues and only had its services done.
Sounds surprisingly good! I just looked up to find out where it’s built, saying Belgium, but for that price is it really made in Belgium!? Would be interested to know. I’ve got a CBR650R but looking for a cruiser as a second bike.
@@alanrobinson2229 And Triumphs are much worse for it. I live in Chiang Rai. There is a Triumph dealer, and I wouldn't go near one. All sorts of problems.
Hi, nice review. Question: I'm 2m tall and looking for beginner friendly bike, so I was wandering if this bike would fit me or do I have to go with something bigger (asking because the grey haired gentleman seems tall too). Thanks in advance
I am nearly 6ft 3" and non of the smaller capacity bikes are what you would call big, so going for a cruiser type with forward foot controls is a good starting bike. This particular bike has quite a good position for a taller rider although it is not a big bike 👍🏼
Sadly I'd bet that it's £600 to £800 over priced, and the mild steel exhaust really should have been stainless at the price! Bullit sell the bluroc v twin 250 which is exactly the same as the lexmoto vendetta 250 but £800 cheaper
Only just seen this vid and this bike for that matter.really like the looks, huge tank is great for long range and it does 80mpg? I see prices for a new one in 2023 have gone up since this vid. I'm just wondering at 5,9 would I struggle to reach handlebars and forward controls. Also belt drive appeals to me.
Thank you for the comprehensive review! Yep, will buy it after I watched your review and a few others! When I get mine, I'll have the tank lifted a bit, lower the back end and change the seat (still a two seater). I like the Sportster so I'll try to get this one look even just a little bit like that 😅 (edit: though this one looks more near a Fatbob). Cheers!
Is the ugly bit hanging off the back absolutely necessary for the UK market only??? Yamaha still have a 250cc V-Twin on sale here in the 'States, is the engine made under license from them or is it a new design?
Not our fault! It's an EU vehicle reg which require that the tyre can not be the furthest thing at the rear, hence why manufacturers still things on the back which project further
Great review I ride a 2019 cb500x and would definitely consider one of these as I'm average height i guess at 5 10" but at 56 years i find the Honda very cramped riding position for my legs that ache a fair bit after a while. I ride mainly in central London so lots of stop start and filtering but will be looking for a dealership to get a decent test ride. I thought the Honda was good on Fuel and the Bullit seems just as good
You can turn off subtitles by clicking the little icon at the bottom of the video (on pc or mac) or the little cc at the top of the video if you hover on it on a phone. Once done it will stay off for all videos on youtube till turned on again

Thanks buddy! It’s ok for 2 but it doesn’t have much power so would be slow
👍🏻 would you recommend this bike as first bike ever?🙃 mostly city ride...
@@markoglisic7167 yes definitely! 👍🏼
Id like to see it next to a yamaha xv250.
Yes certainly. Unfortunately Yamaha aren’t sending us bikes
im going to buy this for my girl, wish me luck.
Awesome! Let us know how she gets on with it
@@MrDarcy-OlMan thankyou so much, you are so cool
@@conlosmorchitti5832 Ahh thanks!
On the web site it shows a lady putting a leg over a V-Bob. It looked very good, very natural. I think she'll love it! Good luck.
I'd also like to see you're opinion on the highway star from AJS.
Hopefully we can get on one in the not too distant future
Awesome looking bike. I’m seriously considering it as a first bike though the scuttlebutt about Chinese quality makes me wary. Your review of the Monkey had me thinking about that too; a 125 that knows exactly what it is and is worth keeping around even with a full license.
David Clark Yes this and the monkey are great but so different! I think the Chinese made bikes are much better than they used to be
As a seasoned biker would you recommend going straight in for the full license or earning my stripes on a 125 first?
Nice review. Thanks
Thanks buddy
Great review ! I've just ordered this bike couple weeks ago, will probably get it in october. I just have one doubt with this bike ,it's the size of the rear tyre (140/70). Do you think its possible to go for a wider one?
That’s great to hear! No definitely don’t worry about the rear tyre, it doesn’t need anything wider. 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Alright thanks mate! Subscribed!
Abish Shakya 👍🏼💯
Cool looking bike, for sure. Is it made in England? I started on Suzuki vl250 cruiser. Cool bike. Enough for town riding.
It’s actually made in China. Great bike and inexpensive
Interesting comments! Thanks for that buddy 👍🏼
Nice world scoop you got there.
Good looking bike, great value. Probably made in China so I personally wouldn't buy one.
Thanks Splodge 👊🏼 Yes it is made in China. I guess time will tell how it ages
How tall are you guys? Just for comparison.
Raqubor six foot 3 ol man and 6 foot 2 Darcy
Sounds more like a Suzuki V twin. Nice motorcycle.
Why is it that in other countries it's brand is the Bullit, while others it's from Keeway? Are they the same just in a different name per country?
Yes it’s made by a Chinese factory and brands buy it and put their own sticker on it
@@MrDarcy-OlMan So it's safe to assume that they basically have the same components right? I'm thinking of getting one one day once I get enough
Benelli Keeway 250 for Indonesia market
Yes 👍🏼👍🏼
I've had this bike for 4 months. what I feel is the same as what you say 😀😁
Ok great! I hope it is going ok without any problems 👍🏼
the only problem is there is a sound at the back, it turns out that only the vbelt is dry, I sprayed the beltdressing and everything is back to normal
Can u recommend drive belt tension and positioning for this model?
We don’t know about that. Have you contacted Bullit?
The trouble is that this bike is made in China. So it would rust out quite quickly. It looks nice when new. You get what you pay for. 👍
I guess time will tell
your probably right but they are getting better
Been 3 yrs owning it
Sounds surprisingly good! I just looked up to find out where it’s built, saying Belgium, but for that price is it really made in Belgium!? Would be interested to know. I’ve got a CBR650R but looking for a cruiser as a second bike.
It’s manufacturered in China (like pretty much everything nowadays).
@@MrDarcy-OlMan No, Triumphs are made in Thailand, but with some Taiwanese (Chinese) parts👍😀
alan robinson 👍🏼
@@alanrobinson2229 And Triumphs are much worse for it. I live in Chiang Rai. There is a Triumph dealer, and I wouldn't go near one. All sorts of problems.
Does the fuel cap rattle and the speedo mist up? Or is that £10,000 extra 😁
Haha maybe
How the pillion sit for back riders? It's a bobber so I'm skeptic...
OK for short rides 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Noted. Thanks man!
@@MrDarcy-OlMan tnx, appreciate the response!
Sadly I'd bet that it's £600 to £800 over priced, and the mild steel exhaust really should have been stainless at the price! Bullit sell the bluroc v twin 250 which is exactly the same as the lexmoto vendetta 250 but £800 cheaper
It’s a shame that Motorcycle brands have the same bike; it really should be exclusive 👍🏼
Agree. These painted mild steel exhausts rust fast and seriously unless they are removed, scrubbed and repainted regularly.
Launch on indonesia from benelli. The name is keeway250
👍🏼👍🏼
In the Philippines they are called Motostrada V twin bobber
I have the same unit, but I can't find the belt size, can you help out?
2000x21x8, mm length x width x tooth pitch. I was quoted £350 by a dealer!
I think you’d be fine; it’s not that big tbh
Thank you for the comprehensive review! Yep, will buy it after I watched your review and a few others! When I get mine, I'll have the tank lifted a bit, lower the back end and change the seat (still a two seater). I like the Sportster so I'll try to get this one look even just a little bit like that 😅 (edit: though this one looks more near a Fatbob). Cheers!
Excellent thanks buddy 👍🏼
Ali g voice on point
How's the clutch? Is it hard?
No not at all. It’s a cable clutch and has a good feel
@@MrDarcy-OlMan that's cool..really good for a stop and go condition especially for heavy traffic area
MacamBE yes absolutely 👍🏼
Is the ugly bit hanging off the back absolutely necessary for the UK market only??? Yamaha still have a 250cc V-Twin on sale here in the 'States, is the engine made under license from them or is it a new design?
That number plate thing is appearing on everything! Not sure about the engine question sorry 👍🏼
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Thanx... P
dear its made by Keeway co may be in may be in Indonisa
Not our fault! It's an EU vehicle reg which require that the tyre can not be the furthest thing at the rear, hence why manufacturers still things on the back which project further
Great review
I ride a 2019 cb500x and would definitely consider one of these as I'm average height i guess at 5 10" but at 56 years i find the Honda very cramped riding position for my legs that ache a fair bit after a while.
I ride mainly in central London so lots of stop start and filtering but will be looking for a dealership to get a decent test ride.
I thought the Honda was good on Fuel and the Bullit seems just as good
Thanks Peter. You certainly get a more relaxed riding position with this bike. Definitely worth checking out a dealership 👍🏼
Looks clean 👌🏽
Eric Perez 👍🏼💯
My search for accessories for this bike (bags fly screen) or any other bits and bobs failed, anyone got any ideas? 💡
Can't see the bike for the text!
You can turn off subtitles by clicking the little icon at the bottom of the video (on pc or mac) or the little cc at the top of the video if you hover on it on a phone. Once done it will stay off for all videos on youtube till turned on again
@@MrDarcy-OlMan Thank you very much!
This goes under brand of keeway and benelli
alan robinson not in the UK as we understand it
How are u only getting 80mph from a 250? My mates 125’s do that and more
More torque probably, set up for low and mid-range. You need to be less impressed with top speeds.
1990 That’s the right answer 👍🏼
