Saving the Bees. Learning How to Live and Thrive as a Beekeeper
Before committing to beekeeping, you should decide if bees are what your yard needs to thrive. Once you determine that, you can invite native bees into your yard with a bee hotel. This can help save the bees and contribute to the population of native bees.
The different types of bees each have different roles, especially the queen bee, who holds so much power in the hive. As a beekeeper, you must learn when to take honey from the bees and what to look out for that could destroy the hive. It takes patience and intentionality.
Beekeeping can be a therapeutic practice and can have positive impacts on those with PTSD and CPTSD. Bee venom can aid in healing and overall health and increase the lifespan of beekeepers. You can even help cure allergies by eating local honey.
As a beekeeper, there are so many life lessons you can take from bees, which can help you live and thrive in your own life.
