Glad the Lord could bring us together in this way :-) To answer your question, unless you strike a specific deal with your client for transfer of ownership of their property, they would get the tax write off if they take the time to itemize all the items they donate. In most cases, clients don't want to take the time to do that.

When you use the collapsible crates for sorting. Do you leave them temporarily in the client house or do you transfer the stuff somewhere else when done sorting? I was thinking about cardboard boxes for sorting
Hi! This is a great question. Honestly, I stopped using them on most jobs and opt for those white laundry baskets from the Dollar Store, heavy-duty trash bags, or flattened cardboard boxes for the very reason you asked. I keep the collapsible crates on hand to transport items that are breakable or highly valuable, but that's about it.

Hi Tatiana thanks for the support! To answer your question, I suppose it depends on the client's preference. My portable label maker has the ability to print in large font but if it still needs to be bigger I will print one label per word and space them out accordingly. My premium vinyl labels are an extra cost for time and labor.

You can buy them on Amazon. Some clients like to do that before recycling their papers if they don't have a shredder 🙂
