being homophobic doesn't mean one is gay, there's no proof to that
I would actually really like to see you do a video on why gay men are so obsessed with straight guys. I think it's a bit of a problem in our community. Straight guys aren't obsessed with us so why are we so obsessed with them?
I think it's because we humans always want what we can't have. It's the same with straight women and gay guys, or straight men and lesbians. :)
DONXMEN It's just preference.
I don't think the actual attraction lies in the straight guy being "straight" but rather what he looks like. Same thing for people who are into Southerners, or surfers, or skaters. It's an image they like. The straight male image is, you know, *fairly* prominent in ads and whatnot. It just follows that a lot of people, straight females and gay guys, tend to like that prevalent image. We all know what Mark Wahlberg looks like in a pair of white Calvin Kleins, after all.
Not everybody likes that image, I'm sure. But it's there.
Wanting what you can't have. It's probably why straight guys love lesbians...
Just think about this : gay men like men. Straight guys are men. End of story. We are attracted to men regardless of their sexual orientation. Some find the challenge of getting a straight man attractive the same way some straight find the challenge of getting the "hot chick" attractive. That's all.
The straight guys that are HOT.
I haven't re-wound a video for as many re-plays as I have this one.... It's worth slowing down for !!
lmao my best friend and I, we used to call the 'secretly gay homophobic "straight" guys'-situation the Gang Bang Theory, cause they usually express a nearly unhealthy amount of interest in women, too. a few years later I learned this is, in fact, an existing and recognised behavioural pattern called overcompensation.
we still call it the Gang Bang Theory tho cause it's a lot more fun
I've known many guys who express a near unhealthy amount of interest in women and they are in fact *gasp* straight...that unhealthy interest has resulted in many illegitimate children. One musnt' generalize, my friend.
AJ Miller I never said *all* guys who express this 'unhealthy' interest in women are gay??
AJ Miller Besides, you got another type of unhealthy in your mind. You'd know what I meant if you've ever seen somebody act that way. Those guys, they express their interest in women in contexts that never asked for their expression for the love of the female gender. Like, you're casually talking mathematics or something and the second the word 'multiply' falls he just gotta scream 'YAH MULITIPLY WITH THEM WOMEN Y'KNOW WHAT I MEAN HELLS YEAH VAGINAS WOOH!' even when the general mood was in no way set to make those sort of jokes
AJ Miller And, if they ever talk about pleasuring a woman one way or the other, it's just plain uncomfortable and awkward and just not right, you know. Like this once we had to write a personal short adaptation of Kafka's Die Verwandlung for English and I'm pretty sure my erotic incest bestiality fic was more pationate than any of the straight sex stories told by the secretly gay guys.
"The Gang Bang Theory" XD Classic!
First point is off-base.. all the gay guys I know at my school are really boring to talk to. They seem nervous and awkward. Even the so-called "flamboyant" ones. All my straight guy friends are way more confident and entertaining. And, oh my god, YES they do have feelings and emotions (for those of you clueless people who don't "understand" straight people). And yes, they DO talk about them. Not just to me, their gay best friend, but amongst themselves!!
WTF THAT CANT BE TRUE OMG TISNFTTA.. yes, yes it is true.
JazzTree78 What is that supposed to mean? Of course people get more dull as they grow up. Gay or straight.
JazzTree78 Cute quirky ones? I'm talking about people I consider my friends. Not the ones I want to screw. Not everything is about sex, Christ.
If you had been keen enough to have noticed that me saying my straight *friends* are more confident than gay people I know.. was actually a *direct* response to Davey's *first* *point* you would have realized that. And not, "omg this is why I looooove straight guys."
I'm sorry your experience with straight men was so terrible that you have to project it onto me.. all while calling straight men an inferior breed in another comment. Eew, is right.
JazzTree78 Stop extrapolating other things from what I said, please. ALL I meant to state, was that from my own *personal* experience, I have found that the straight people in my life are less awkward than the gay people that I know.
Sure, that might change. But my statement was clearly bound to the present.
And, yes, thank you for that completely pointless life lesson in something that I fully understand. Not all 20-somethings are idiots, thank you very much.
You fucktard gay people are way more bubbly and nice than straight guys
boyminecraft I didn't say bubbly and nice.. I said confident. Because that's what Davey said. He said something along the lines of all the straight people he knows seem less confident.
No shit gays are bubbly. You fucktard.
As a straight guy Davey, I can assure you, there is nothing enigmatic about us. Except the fact that gay guys are far more interested in us than women, which is more trivia than part of some mystique people seem to have imagined
Some homosexual guys might feel interested in heterosexual guys, but most don't and some even prefer to avoid friendship with them because they have a bad opinion on them (mostly due to homphobia).
TheDystopiaInside You know you want some straight Ass!!
Your videos are short but always SPOT-ON !
Lol that boom dance though😂😂
A deep voice is actually very natural for a male. A higher, "expressive" voice requires a higher amount of air to achieve for a male. I'm gay, and have a deep voice. It's just the way I am. I definitely don't try to make it deep. It just is, like most males. I don't think the voice issue is a matter of gay vs straight. It might be more masculine vs feminine.
This is so true! You are so smart Davey Wavey!
This video has made more sense to me than some of your other ones that I have seen!
So on target your thoughts, Davey!! Thank you, Chip
omg you're totally right, especially the speech pattern thing!
My comment had a lot of responses, let me say that I'm no troll, it was real, but no one seems to read all the other comments from me. When he beat me up on 7th grade it was 1989. I didn't see him again until 2003, that's a long time to change and reflect. He came out in 1993, and changed his life from there on out. I didn't see him until 2003, that's 14 years of growth and coping. It was great for both of us. Healing for both of us. Read other comments and let me explain myself without all this
Love you DaveyWavey !!!
Truth right here 💁
Love you Davey!!
the stoic face you pulled when you said "yah bro" was creepy XD
I never thought about the speech idea. Good point.
To all the comments on mine, yes he apologized, a bunch, he cried, it was a hard moment at first. Then we just decided to let it go and have fun. I enjoyed myself a ton and afterwards we went our separate ways. I still hear from him on occasion.
Very astute Davey. Well spoken !
Love how you are so clever and smart still funny as heck!
Why else would you give a flying fuk 😂😂😂 this made my night 👌
The voice thing is so true! I remember before I came out, I used to manipulate my voice and after I stopped caring it felt so nice to speak and not think about how my voice was sounding to others. And for some reason I always hear guys do this when they're with their guy friends... not around girls. Go figure.
Doesn't mean it applies to all straight men, dude.
AJ Miller "Not all men"
Your on to something big!! I have seen a lot of those things in guys.
Dave, I like the fleckles on your nose. They are really nice, not spots but kinda rediish brown and mosaic like pattern. Pretty neat physical distinction.
Stereotypes are not always reliable. It is like geographical accents. A gay sounds weird to a straight; a straight sounds weird to a gay. To each their own. Each person has his/her wonderful way of expressing him-/her-self regardless of orientation.
People: Gtfo of here with ur negative comments about Davy's material. This is shet that relates to many gay men's experiences, and shet straight men need to try and understand in perspective. Thank gawwd for Davey cause he addresses topics in his vids that occur to me every now and then! Im one betch who can relate and im sure there are many others. Preach it Davey
Honey, you're running out of material. :(
Davey I just love you so much, you are so wise.
"Methinks thou dost protest too much"....indeed...
My friend has sex with straight guys, some who are even married. I don't judge him for it but it's annoys me how some gay men are willing to give up dignity and the possibility of a real relationship for the sake of sex with an attractive publicly heterosexual man. I think some guys see it as a game, like they have the upper hand on guys they would have died to sleep with in high school (like a form of payback). I see more and more gay guys putting on this Bisexual persona to attract these curious straight men into discreet hookups. Where is our self-pride and love for being gay and loving other men for being proud and gay?
Homophobic guys are gay?
Nah, more likely insecure about relations to other people, not to mention sexual relations. If it was more ok to them that people were gay, they'd probably be on about people showing sexuality in general and want to strive for a de-sexualised society. All speculations of course, but I think it's applicable to more than a few.
loving you're Winston Churchill quote ;-)
Davey is hilarious!
Good Video Davey
I thought this was a great video. I have yet to figure if I'm straight or bi-curious, but your thoughts on heterosexual males was honest and full of levity.
I love what you said in this video, like all of you videos ;)
His straight guy voice sounds like Swayer Hartman. Lmao
One of my best friends is a gay man and only goes after straight young Hispanic guys. He makes enough money to give them incentive to pay attention to him as they are usually poor. He's overweight, white, and is pretty fem, his voice sounds like a middle aged woman (his words, not mine). He is an ESFJ and he's never been in a real relationship with a guy that genuinely cares about him and he's usually really sad about his life. Other gay men that he's tried to date online were always really mean when they met him because he's fem but doesn't dress that way or seem that way in pictures. He says he's not attracted to fem guys but he's really unhappy and his family is horrible and tells him he's a bad person because he's gay and that he's going to hell. He's an amazing person and I wish I knew how to help him because he deserves to be happy. Anyone have any advice?
my straight buddy in high school had one voice he used at school and then when it was just me and him his voice was like 2 octaves higher.
These mysterious creatures.
Your vids are amazing
as a norwegian, when i speak in english i sound like "a straight guy". but that's because i need to pronounce the words correctly :p
Great video! Your views are so true IMO !!!
'argh yeah bro' hahaha
"Homophobic guys act pretty gay." *Watches some Nash Grier vids* Yeah, that statement is pretty legit.
I love ❤️your videos!!!!
I love the first secret about straight so much. It was funny and technically, logically true lol. Ya, speaking without emotion should have been viewed weird but it's viewed as "normal" men talk. I learnt haha.
Logically true? Do explain.
Guys AND Girls speak with no emotion nowadays because they don't know how to express themselves. Why? Rising illiteracy and the lack of eloquence.
Am I the only one that couldn't stop staring at his chest?
Goddammit i wrote infection instead of inflection lmao
I love this guy. He is perfect
Oh you cracked something alright.
I really like this video because you are right about sure men
Davey! Love you!
must be chilly
I agree with all that, well thought out;)
Those were actually very well structured and thought out points you presented there... I expected this video to be like, PENISPENISPENISPENIS (because of the title, not you :) ) but you showed great insight and understanding about the psyche (if I am using this term correctly...) of straight and/or homophobic men :P
On the other hand, I don't understand the fetishisation of straight males. I just don't get it. I find it more than not understandable, I actually find it creepy. To me it's just obsessive and actually kind of indicative of someone having deep issues.
Personally I believe the way forward for our (the gay) community is that we should tone back the... aggressiveness (for lack of a better word) of our campaign, and show society that we're just normal, non-invasive people who just want to live life and find love, like everybody else.
Homophobia is disappearing, thankfully, but the last weapon the so-called "traditional" people have is that they claim we're overly invasive of their lives, cramming our "values" down their throats. I think we should take this weapon from them, by encouraging straight people to engage in pride, and showing that we're not just sex-crazed unicorns all the time (I know we're not all like this, but this is the stereotype that has been drawn up, and it's not right). I mean, i'm 300% all for pride parades, but there are some that can be a little... overly sexual, which of course I like, but we have to be responsible too.
Oh... fuck, I ranted a bit there. Sorry. Have a nice day :)
amen, that's the truth.
Why can't straight men be like you? I like you. It's not about the sex. It is your personality. Straight men can be kinda blah.
You've met some pretty dull people then.
Honestly, today, I don't even remember writing this. I have since, unsubscribed to him and his page. I think I must have been fascinated. But the fascination wore off quickly when I see how easy he is. Ive got better things to do. Yeah that is me dull and safe. And I like people who wear clothes. This is a channel for gay men. I don't belong here.
Wendy Frances Milone Glad I'm not the only one!
The novelty is fleeting for sure.
Uhhh what? Someone's a bit misanthropic.
Sent from my iPhone
AJ Miller What a freaking psycho. First she doesn't even remember making a post about someone she seemed infatuated by only a month ago and now she attacks you for absolutely no reason. Goddamn bitch get back on your Prozac.
Generalizations and extrapolations.
Correlation does not equal causation, bruh.
you need to turn up the heat, you're about to scratch the lens ;)
Last year in sixth grade at the beginning of the year I was super homophobic but look at me now I'm gay
Davey, what's your opinion on the whole scandal of UA-cam personalities where they exploit young female fans and young girls in general? These guys actually get a lot of fans and have them religiously follow them and take advantage of them. I'm interested in this issue and the prevalent sexism in the UA-cam community...
Has he really cracked the code?
That "straight man" voice you put kinda sound like Sawyer Hartman's
I love your videos as a straight man and agree with almost everything on here, except i have a TON of infection and emotion when i speak, and get called gay for it on occasion, to which i reply " so what if i was gay? I love the gays!" ( Especially more than the bigots who think being gay is a bad thing. I also wish i was as muscular as you. Haha
Right on bro
They would obviously say "no Mon" its what I hear alot
Good points overall, although #1 is a sterotype that you seemed to present as fact for all straight guys. :)
you're like the strongest gay guy I've ever seen.
These are secrets? Straight guys spend most of their "bro" time trying to touch each others' dicks or talking about them, at least. The voice thing is something that throws me off - I don't know any straight guys that talk the way you parody them here. My straight guy friends are plenty expressive in their speech and I don't feel the need to talk in a feminine way to express myself.
Um....yeeeah no. Lol
Me and my friends "bro time" as you call it is spent talking about books and movies and playing video games or going for a drink. So, yeah wrong.
This is true for all the "popular" guys in highschool and believe me I know...
Your chest is just amazing....
This makes too much sense to ignore
42 closeted 'straight' guys
your ears tucked into your hat :>
Can you make a video on why guys don't tell you when they like you or how they "drop hints". I just want to know since that's all society gets now a days and they don't have lots of good videos of that
How do you now feel about those that picked on you that now identify as gay and have you made peace with them/do you have a relationship Davey Wavey
Good, but the VOICE is not necessary a REAL factor. You should know this. It is one possible CLUE> Many straight guys have GAY voices.
Bro you look like John Cena but with thinner face
Ellen Degeneres, I had a crush on him before he did that, and he and I had a long talk back in 2003. He apologized profusely to me. I fail to see hire I'm disgusting.
this is not always true, but most of the times it is. let's not make more stereotypes
Everyone is gay. Just leave it at that. Too many straight people think that they're the best and can get any woman and whatever, but LOOK AT THE PERSONAL ADS ONLINE!, 95% of them are STRAIGHT! Why?! Don't ask me, ask them!
Not all straight guys speak that way...but the straight guys who talk in the "proper" way, are a lot of times seen is gay, even if they aren't.. I get ya.
Considering my sexuality and friends this isn't intended to be rude but I get really irratated at these things. Can I make it a point that it gets annoying when gay boys or lesbian girls are convinced that straight people are closeted or gay or want to be with the same gender. Because really not all straight guys are gay . Same applys to straight people who try and turn gay or lesbian people straight . Really I'm not trying to be rude but it gets old. Not all guys have a fetish of wanting to be hit on or have with a another guy. It's just unrealistic that every person is just Lowkey gay. Just like not everyone is straight .
I really don't mean to offend anyone, but maybe gay men and straight men are pretty much the same. In fact, I notice that gay men tend to be more fit and macho. And again, I don't mean to offend anyone, but maybe trying to be straight wouldn't be super hard. I would love to see you try. You could do it if you set your mind to it. I mean, I did, and it worked. Just try, and I think you'll be happy. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.
For a gay man trying to be straight is hard because straight and gay are sexual preferences so acting straight is having sex with the opposite gender btw I'm gay as well and I wouldn't want to try anything with a woman it's just something that de isn't attract me
Now I'm a gay man but very straight acting and I don't have as much inflection as you do so I disagree with you, I believe it's more of your personality. I believe what you're doing is you're feeding into the stereotype about gay men in general. not all gay men act like you do. I believe your perceptions are based on your personal experiences and activities as a gay man
I can't get over your sun burn! Wear skin protection Davey!!! No shade, just natural concern. :)
Straight guys are "gayer" than me well at least my friends they seem so focused on trying to act a certain way and when I express depth and emotion they don't know how to react to it but when they get drunk the way they act is extremely emotional and then they want hugs and I'll kiss you but don't think I'm gay and in reality I feel they do like women but they are acting and they fear they will be compared to girls like its a bad thing but that's how they really act some guys are fake lol
I agree with your comments here. So true!.
Punctuation. Please make friends with it.
This was a little too much a stretch, even for Davey. I mean I get what he's saying but he's relying on stereotypes, calling them stereotypes, and then drawing academic conclusions. It doesn't fit.
I can't fucking believe you said that. "Controlled and flat." Are you serious? I guess I'm not gay, then....I can't fucking believe you said that. I cannot believe you said that. The fuck, dude? ;[
dawey, i really want to watch you in a STEAMROOMSTORİES parody. that would be great.
Why the hell am I watching this.....
I agree with you on some points but comming from a straight guy POV I feel that not all straight guys talk like that . Also not all straight guys are homophobes , your video is great I just wish you wouldve got some pov from another straight guy is all.. thank you
thank you
lovely chest.
superstubes Hi!
Yas about the speech thing lol
Man why does the cute ones got to be gay or not straight
He said most guys . Holy fuck what are you even on about
Thay also have extreme body image issues.
EVERYONE has body image issues.
