the Ginger Warrior has the same star power as Brad Pitt…..here’s why: On Wednesday this week I drove past your farm, as I do often, and I saw your Dad walking up the other side of the road … suddenly he waved at me .. and I thought ‘why would he wave at me, he doesn’t know me from Adam!?’ then I looked sideways to my 12 year old daughter who was sat with eyes like saucers totally star struck by your Dad… 😅 😂 that must be why he waved 😊. So if your Dad remembers waving at a Green Defender heading towards Lytham, with a starstruck 12 year old on board … that was us !
Im sure you and your father are delighted making silage on new farm with the sun shining. We all have a year were we can make bit if a mess with tracks here and there in the fields but the ground will recover in time enjoy yourself
OMFG I knew this was going to be worth linking onto my wide-screen TV to watch 👏🏻👏🏻🥰🥰 now can I give my outstanding work award to the Rake man, seeing his masterful work from the air give it the justice it seeing it from the air ALSO can I give Man of the chop 🏆 loader man for getting it all in there 😂😂
It's great to see that there is not a rut in sight...and everybody is happy...and just look at the amount in the shed...all nicely packed away for the winter...well done all of the team...atb
So nice to see a happy Tom and crew doing silage in dry weather and t-shirts. I know other people I watch who do silage will bag it since they don't use clamps for storage - they feed the cut into those long, giant continuous feed tube wrappers, then seal them up - but that's in other countries, not UK, so I wonder if that is a option for overflow storage. Plus someplace to put them, which may be the real question with everything going on at the farm!
What a great way to start the weekend. Everything looks good bitching to see what second cut looks like and where you’re going to put it really interested in the shared farm agreement that would be kind of cool to have more of a walk-through of that when you and if you can, I mean if that’s public or not, you know your business not ours. But also love a tour of the farm shop which we haven’t had and I’d say over four years so maybe a little you know four minute walk-through you know this is the farm shop and you introduce anybody or show prices but you know just kinda give some highlights to what’s inside. ginger guy if you’re reading this we all appreciate you and please keep correcting Tom’s English. I’m still waiting for the shirt that says me and Father and Father and I. Be well be you.
I trust No.1 drone pilot is also your beef consultant! Sharing the tips? I understand he got a first at the show for top commercial cattle breeder. You can only watch and learn! Nice work Jack
we increased our silage pit capacity by purchasing a used construction compactor, really rolls it in tight. much more than a roller like yours, which we have. Increased capacity by 1/3 in an outside pit about twice the size of yours
I'm not a farmer but I love the farming community. The ability to ring around and pull in help at short notice. Brilliant. We need more of that attitude in society.
Nothing beats the harvest of a bumper crop into ideal conditions in ideal conditions. Youve had so many weather setbacks the struggle bus is behind feed needs.
Used to love buckraking even with a rear mounted push off. Very satisfying keeping the clamp tight but left you with a stiff neck and aching clutch leg
I think you should demo a tractor and loader. You're comparing 1990 tractor and loader to a dedicated loader. Just like you weren't sure about conditioner mowers, you could get a very nice surprise indeed. Great for straw and bale gathering one man operation.
137th! Tom, you and your farm crew don’t have enough time in one day to get things done. That darn sleep and family seem to get in the way. Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
Great video Tom good to see everything went smoothly apart from one blockage which isn’t bad for new fields and quickly throw a couple of sheds for second cut 🤦♂️ 👍👍
Some nice big crop Tom👌🏻👌🏻 we already have 2nd cut in we already are starting to struglle where to put it all. We even have a "new" clamp for grass which is already more then half full........ and we have a lot of clamp space😅😅 last year we made a extra clamp just on some bit of land because we could not fit it anymore😅😅😅 and now we even use less feed because we switched to a robotic feeder. It saves so much on feed it's rediculus😅😅
If you look at holland we just pile up somewhere on a pad without walls at all (or just in a field when space gets tight) so that is also still an option for you too
If you don't have space for 2nd cut, here's an idea, make none, or as little as you need, graze what you can't cut or flail it at the end of the year. Or buy some store cattle eat it and then sell those when you run out of grass
that field with a poor crop had to be mowed so that you can make it better for the next cut, it is just a bonus if you want before you get it up and running. I agree with you on teh second cut, as it is teh first year of the business, you better have too much grass than not enough, you can always figure out an option later if you have too much. That is a huge amount for sure, but you will have quite a lot of stock too, you will need it.
Nice to see the grass come off better than your last cut and it being a good crop too . Pit man could have placed it a bit better for you plenty of room on the sides and at the back if it had been kept compacted the edges would have filled better, but still a job well done
Cut & store or bale as much as possible cause like you said, we don’t know what next year will bring & you are on a new adventure as well. Any surplus next year you can sell it then.

I’ll let him know but he has probably read this comment ☺️ he’s love to do it. Thanks so much for watching team!
Love this story 🎉
The precision going round the corner was superb nice to see a normal day on the farm and no mud in sight....
Loving seeing this plan come together...! The drone footage is really special
You should be so very proud on how your farm has come, just in the 5 years that I have been following you. Great Video👌✊️👌
Now there’s a harvester operator that knows exactly how to load a trailer 👏👏👏👏
Bit of Green Day while chopping the green, I like it!

It’s so cool to see ‘the world’s best drone flyer’, wearing an Aussie icon shirt!! Rockin the ol R. M. Williams t-shirt, Sir!! ❤🇦🇺🇦🇺

It is so fun to finally see it all coming together after some hard weeks of frustration and uncertainty
Busy times, happy times, lovely weather (knock wood), loving the drone shots and music. My favorite time of year. 🎉
Yes Tom keeping Green Day on when chopping 👍🏻👍🏻
Chopping grass is the best! Interesting how we mostly use push-off trailers like fliegl, but you use normal tippers.

@@jowithinshaw4273 a man of many talents!!
Feilds cut using GPS look amazing but the skill needed to achieve a similar result without it are incredible and should be acknowledged.
Great to meet you and the ginger guy today Tom. Thank you for giving us some of your time. Milkshakes were delicious. 👍🏻
I love Jack’s “ R M Williams” shirt. It’s Australia icon.
I noticed that immediately too! It’s great to see our Aussie icon being rocked in this video! Love it 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺

Your getting ready for a good second-hand silage trailer of your own
Tom, you need your own compactor at this stage with all the grass you are cutting between the 2 farms. At least it didn't rain this time👌👌
Ollyblogs is your man to make your compactor😉...winter project for him😆😆
@@johncoakley4279better off just buying one with how long tom took to do the bucket brush with Olly 😂😂
@@jordanwalker8979 😆😆 true yes, but surely they would have it made for silage season 2025😄😄
Nice to see so many smiles in this vid amazing what some dry weather can do 😅 have a great weekend team Pemberton

The harvester driver must dread seeing you coming in beside him..😂😂..pull her forward a few foot and give the man a chance..🙈🙈🙈

With you on the grass situation Tom, keep it, work out what’s needed this year then go from there there

If its so much times a dream, it must be a wet dream 😅
Courage 👍
New farm?? And thats a HUGE field.
build 2 pits at the side of the beef building so it easier for feeding as well
The chopper getting jammed up wouldn’t be that mystery bale that you found mowing. ???
Nice bit of kit 👌
