In Brazil we have the puzzling case a of a 30-second excerpt of a instrumental used as a kid's show opening that has been searched for a decade. Unlike most unidentified songs that were barely played anywhere, this one was played sporadically since 1985 then daily from 1993 to 2019 on the 2nd largest network of the country. Millions of people across generations heard the song but nobody can name it to this day. It's surely the most heard unknown song of the world. Its been called 'Chapolin Polka', 'Abertura Chapolin' or 'Chapolin BGM'. There are articles and posts detailing the search effort. The song itself it's possibly not of brazilian origin.
@SlapstickGenius23 yes but the soundtrack is different here in brazil cause the dubbing studios used to buy the material in mono sound so they used a whole different bgm

I documented the whole thing on my channel actually) and I'm always so excited when a song is solved. also Paula Toledo's video addressing people who had been looking for How Long was adorable. I hope the most mysterious song on the internet is solved within my lifetime
Out of all the lost songs out there, I want 'Everyone Knows That' to be found the most and hopefully I'll get to fully hear it before I pass away. It has such a strong nostalgic 1980's feel to it and that was my favorite decade ever.
When listening to the song "Ulterior Motives" would seem to be the title, if it ever had one. I say that because of the song phrasing. About the song feeling nostalgic, it's just like every other mediocre 80s song.
It’s been found! It turned out to be a song from an 80s porno. However the guy who made the song is going to release it officially soon and the lyrics have been finally confirmed by him 😊
I managed to contact the ex drummer of "Gin & Tonic" and he confirmed to me that they never made La canción de alicia while we where a band, but he dosnt discard the idea that Ricardo Mendez (RicardVox) could have made the song after the breakup with another group of people or band

Maybe because I have my own lost song i've been looking for for years, maybe because i'm a huge music enthusiast, maybe because i'm a songwriter myself, but it both fascinates me and makes me sad at the same time. I hope all these lost songs get refound soon, so the memory of the writers and musicians can be restored to the internet's history
Ad agencies tend to turn out jingles and songs at an alarming rate. The Ulterior Motives song to me sounds like it was churned out quickly since it's so generic. It's just a theory, like 95% of the gossip surrounding it.
The biggest problem with the Savage Garden theory is that the entire tone part of the theory would have to be disregarded entirely, as SG is an Australian band, which didn't become known outside of Australia until 1999, far too late for Everyone Knows That to exist. The timeframe and location do not match. Edit: Guys, actual evidence is needed to be convincing. "It kind of sorta but doesn't really sound like Darren" is not a convincing argument.
Truly Madly Deeply was released before 1999 and was a huge hit in America too. Even before that there was "I Want You", which is strongly reminiscent of the sound of Roxette, who were mentioned as another potential candidate for "Everybody Knows That".
@nicholasharvey1232 Yes, but all of their demos were from before that time, many of which are available on UA-cam. None of these have that tone in them. Also, TMD came out in 1997. Not exactly a huge jump back in time. EKT was probably made much earlier than that. Even if it wasn't, you would have to explain how this demo somehow got leaked overseas - before the takeoff of the internet. 2008? I can see that happening. 1998? Get real.
@mikal0457 I was 7 when TMD came out. I grew up with the band. I'm a big fan of the band. I'm also from the same country as them. There is no chance in hell that a random demo of theirs ended up in Spain during that time period. Edit: The only evidence we have is that the singer kinda sorta but doesn't really sound like Darren Hayes and that the band was active during the time period. I don't buy it. Actual evidence is needed to be convincing.

It's so exciting seeing lost music become more of a hot topic. In the music communities I'm part of, (underground/indie) lost music is very common. In fact most artists I listen to have at least 1 lost album/EP/song if not more. It seems that music only released via the internet is a lot more likely to become lost. Any small artist can delete releases from their soundcloud, spotify, youtube, etc at any time if they aren't satisfied with them. This happens all the time and unfortunately a lot of the time, once it's gone, it's gone for good unless you saved it before it was removed or have some sort of weird/shady exploit to recover it
I know right! My uncle says he thinks he heard it on an ad back in Japan in the late 80's but my dad and his other siblings have absolutely no recollection of this song 😭
For some reason I never paid much attention to lost music media, but something about listening to a track no one knows the origin of is really interesting. Slightly melancholic, no? Surely the produces cared about their work... Also, I am surprised to see you only have 400 subs, even with only 5 videos. I like a good mystery, I look forward to more videos.
I know what the Vocaloid One is 100%. I'm fairly early into the video so Idk if you say the artist or not, but keyart/artwork looks VERY close to an artist named "MASA WORKS DESIGN", they make a lot of horror based music and such. Masa has a lot of lost music from what I remember though. We either don't know the name of them or the original Music Video is lost due to Masa deleting it. Pretty sure that happened with another song Masa made but it was later found to be "The Spider and the Kitsune-Like Lion."
As someone who is actually IN the vocaloid lost media community, “ell” indeed is masa. We all know it is masa, and we have proof that it is masa, since in the nnd vocaranks, the original fox’s weddings is under the name “ell”, as well as will o’ the wisp. Only a few of his lost songs have been found, using sites like youku and baidu, thanks to reprints. But yes, Masa made interface, and when someone asked him if he had it, he said “I don’t remember the melody”. Hope this helps!
@Luk13tu I should've probably edited my comment stating that I made it to the part of the video (bc i just clicked on the video when i saw the icon for mv) and did NOT know that the uploader was a vocaloid fan too so knew as well LOL I somewhat know about the entire Masa thing because I have been half-ass following the lost media search but not directly following since I am on my own search rn for a game I used to play when I was a kid.
Status: "How long will it take? ": found during video editing. "Interface": only the 10-second Vocarank clip is accessible "La Canción de Alicia": Real Name was "Dreams 4ever," by "Bad Influence" (in other words, it's found) "Everyone Knows That" (Ulterior motives): found in an 80's "Adult movie" "A redditor's final wish" (name of song wasn't provided): lost
You deserve more recognition! The production is great, your voice sounds good too and the effort is admirable! I hope more people find out about this underrated channel. Keep it up!
As for Ulterior motives/everyone knows that. It doesn't SOUND like Japanese. So I believe it does come from a European/American. One thing to note is that when you have Japanese people speaking English, unless they are you know actually speaking English a LOT and know it, it is spoken PHONETICALLY. Which means that it has a different sound to it. It doesn't actually sound like someone speaking phonetically. It sounds like a native English speaker. /watch?v=A8zWWp0akUU&ab_channel=AaronAlon Is a very good example on how just pronouncing things in the phonetic sense can sound extremely rough. Which is often what you actually get with English-spoken portions of J-pop. So my deduction is European or American. Which is a huge broad spectra to look for. It is definitely from a more native speaker. Though too, that doesn't entirely dismiss Japan but if this is the late 80's/90's we are talking about then likely no. It isn't from a J-pop tape.
@sashyf It really doesn't sound completely like someone who learned English as a second language. That's what I mean. The difference between j-pop ENGRISH and other things is as simple as the letter L. Japanese doesn't have natural L in their language. So anything with an L can be very hard for them to say. That's how I felt that it couldn't be from a J-pop song. Maybe if it were the 2000's and on. But not the 80's. It sounds to me like the weird song that music video with the two women in the mall? Where they like catch and kill a predator and eat him? So like this really super niche sort of group that likely only had a few recordings done. I'd go old school and look up on discgogs for song titles for things that haven't ever been ported to a cd. So casset and atrack tape only. There is some debate on it being from the two types of radio broadcasts. Am/pm and recorded from one or the other. But the audio no matter how garbled it seems, the instruments sound a bit to clean to be a random band of ""insert town of less than 500" it definitely sounds pretty well produced.
I don't think they're native English speaker, but I also have my doubts they are Japanese-native speakers. Maybe it's cos I don't know much about Japanese City Pop, but I feel the song has too much of an early US inspired-Europop song for me.
My personal theory is that Masa purposefully keeps his previous works hidden, thus why they haven't been found yet. If you've kept up with the Vocaloid community in recent years, you'd know that he has a history of not taking criticism well, deleting his songs out spite, and taking down reuploads of his songs.
It's important to remember that while Vocaloid is widely popular because of the singer Miku, there is also a significant amount of lost media related to the Vocaloid community. Additionally, some individuals may have left the community due to trolls who bullied others and claimed that Vocaloid was bad. It's possible that the person in question left because their videos sounded like one of those horror Alternate Reality Games (ARGs) at the time. This was a common occurrence during that period.
Do a part 2! This channel is a hidden gem, amazing editing and production for someone who has less then 2k subs. This video is amazing and I love your channel. Please make more of these❤
Well... Feels Like a Wish (formerly known as Fond my Mind) is a brazilian song. So It is totally possible that EKT/UM will be a song made by latin american artists.
Can't wait to tell you that ''Canción de Alicia'' was found like two weeks ago. It was made by a Peruvian band called ''Bad Influence'' and the famous lost song was called ''Dreams 4ever''. It's a very good song, and I hope you give it a listen. (If you want more information, go find a video about it, you're welcome.)
Really enjoyed this video! Your narration was great, the research put in was appreciated and I enjoyed the fact that you covered some topics I hadn’t heard. Great job- I will certainly be looking at your channel. :)
Masa Works Design was known for Horrorcore, Death and Heavy metal, while using Vocaloid characters. Interface was one of the earliest they made, I presume that song was a demo.
Can't wait to listen to, "How long" on YT and wanted to listen a full lost song of "Everyone Knows That" , which is hard to find because it a mystery, let's hope it is out there. But, do you know what really mysterious of a lost songs. I wasn't around from the 90's as a grown up, because I was born from the 90's. But when I went to UA-cam, looking for songs to listen, it brought me here out of nowhere, the song was really very emotional, but very nice beautiful smooth jam music, the name of this song is called "I'll Always be your Friend" by a young mysterious singer name Lorie Salvatera, which is her first lost single Album "it's a groove thing", I listen to it for almost seven months, and I enjoyed her songs ( which 4 of these songs are still there, not lost/ "143 means I Love you", "Love Is", & "Music & Me" ), but 9 others songs have been mysteriously went missing through out the years. Also, the first song that I mention about, trying to find Music video on UA-cam if she sing this song, but never been resurfaced or heard about it. Not to mention, there was a talent show that performs Young artists and Groups, that seems to be forgotten from the 90's, and it was called " Brown Bags to Stardom ", where Lorie perform there ( the cover never lies ), there was a UA-cam channel that's called Brown Bags, but there seems to be no full footage or live broadcast tape on there channel, do these old full videos exist & what ever happened to her too? ( Including the other performers from BBTS as well?? ). But, know that the search is almost over, five songs has been found on UA-cam ( which is "It's a Groove Thing" , "Everybody, get on up and Dance", "All Coast Flava", "Give love on Christmas Day", and "I'll Always be your Friend ( with Version Reprise )" ) who is the uploader UA-camr named "Ka Lahui o Hawai'i Nei" who has the lost album with him, but 4 others hasn't been uploaded yet, but very soon ( "Once Upon a Kiss", "If We Try", "Could This Be Love", & "Turn to You" ( which is in a third album of BBTS, which I don't know if she has her own second album exist or just one? ). But I still don't know if these videos are true or false ( I still really want to know ), I hope you have more time if you could talk about this mystery lost media music of Lorie Salvatera ( I even also talked to LSuperSonicQ about this loss songs / Music Videos as well, and he actually requested my question on the live chat & comments, including a bit others UA-camrs ( which is 4, let's hope?)). Also, let's hope all of these songs will be found real soon, ( sorry I write so slow / long, Due to my learning disability but I still write, including my speaker on the phone too ). Thank you so much for talking about these lost songs on your video ( it's amazing ), also TY and each & everyone for reading my comment about the lost songs/Album of Lorie Salvatera's "It's a Groove Thing". Hope my writings is okay & enjoyed it ready it. 😊🥺📀🎶📺
we found 3 songs from the video! these are:How long, Everyone Knows That, La cancione de alicia. Interface and redditors song left. here is my opinion about it: So I will talk about interface. i think this will probably or never will be solved, Since it had only 500 views till deletion, it has to have only few people to download or no one, and since this song is from 2012 there is no (maybe) people who has this file on the computer, they might switched or forgoted forever. sadly this song is probably wanished from the internet forever.
i've been trying to find these lost EP's released by this obscure group throughout 2013-2014. I'm been searching since like 2020, they were called Turkey Dinner, only one of their EP's is available right now and it's been itching my brain what the rest of their EP's sound like
I really think Everyone Knows That was written for a commercial. The lyrics are pretty on the nose and feels as if there isn't much left of the song that we haven't heard. My theory is that it was made to promote some sort of makeup or wig product, or any other product that would make its customer deceitful in some form. I also think that the original recording was cut off where it was because there was probably some narration that comes in and causes the song to fade. The lyrics were just starting to repeat themselves at that point.
Enjoying running through older fan theories now. As it turns out, you were closer in the latter portion of your prediction. Ulterior Motives was not written for a commercial… but as a general pop song from a young band trying to get the spotlight on their band. The artists (Chris & Philip Booth) eventually provided the track to a ‘pr0no”. The original recording was cut off (by the uploader), but for reasons quite different from the kind of narration you were inferring… LOL Cheers!
I started tearing up with the part that reveals that glittering was most likely gone for more then a year, and didn't find the song they were looking for.
Now that EKT has been found along with several lostwave songs in the past several months, will you please do a follow-up video? It would be most appreciated. 😊

This happens all the time and unfortunately a lot of the time, once it's gone, it's gone for good unless you saved it before it was removed or have some sort of weird/shady exploit to recover it
Ngl but the song ulterior motives sounds weirdly, familiar like I’ve heard it before or similar song
It sounds like a common 80s song so that’s probably why
I know right! My uncle says he thinks he heard it on an ad back in Japan in the late 80's but my dad and his other siblings have absolutely no recollection of this song 😭
i can tell you why 😏
Welllllll… about that familiarity you mentioned… 😂
@@TitaniumTurbine We don’t talk about that anymore
For some reason I never paid much attention to lost music media, but something about listening to a track no one knows the origin of is really interesting. Slightly melancholic, no? Surely the produces cared about their work...
Also, I am surprised to see you only have 400 subs, even with only 5 videos. I like a good mystery, I look forward to more videos.
You are hella underrated man. The editing and work you put into this is amazing for a small channel
I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
I'm a simple woman. I see Interface, I click.
Great vid btw!
Ready and Steady was an interesting search. It’s an old one as it was found in 2016 but the story behind it is fascinating as to how it was found!
Ready N Steady was also what introduced me into lost songs.
Hope this helps!
as a former vocalost (lost vocaloid songs) community member yeah it was masa
holy shit another one@@mikudayoooooooooooooooo
@Luk13tu I should've probably edited my comment stating that I made it to the part of the video (bc i just clicked on the video when i saw the icon for mv) and did NOT know that the uploader was a vocaloid fan too so knew as well LOL
I somewhat know about the entire Masa thing because I have been half-ass following the lost media search but not directly following since I am on my own search rn for a game I used to play when I was a kid.

One of more famous lost songs of vocaloid named "stacy" is fully found now!
Status:
"How long will it take? ": found during video editing.
"Interface": only the 10-second Vocarank clip is accessible
"La Canción de Alicia": Real Name was "Dreams 4ever," by "Bad Influence" (in other words, it's found)
"Everyone Knows That" (Ulterior motives): found in an 80's "Adult movie"
"A redditor's final wish" (name of song wasn't provided): lost
I’m so glad How Long was found!! I wanted the full song because it was so nice :)
Its nice knowing EKT was found, but not where we were really expecting.
This stuff is super interesting to me. Well done!! I cant wait to watch your channel grow, you definitely deserve it! ❤
You deserve more recognition! The production is great, your voice sounds good too and the effort is admirable! I hope more people find out about this underrated channel. Keep it up!
That is so kind of you to say, thank you. Your mixes are bops by the way keep it up 😤😤
@@hectorholtz You are more than welcome !!! And thank you , I appreciate it ❤️❤️
they found it, you know what im talking about.
/watch?v=A8zWWp0akUU&ab_channel=AaronAlon
Is a very good example on how just pronouncing things in the phonetic sense can sound extremely rough.
I am a believer that the song is from Spain, the intonation of the song doesn't really sound of a japanese person speaking english
@@sashyf dark star pfp? sweeeeet
I don't think they're native English speaker, but I also have my doubts they are Japanese-native speakers.
Maybe it's cos I don't know much about Japanese City Pop, but I feel the song has too much of an early US inspired-Europop song for me.
Sounds like an English person to me
Carl92 had ulterior motives
🎶🎵everyone knows that, you got, a corn addiction! Tell me the truuuuuth.🎵🎶
that is the funniest way to be caught as a gooner
My personal theory is that Masa purposefully keeps his previous works hidden, thus why they haven't been found yet. If you've kept up with the Vocaloid community in recent years, you'd know that he has a history of not taking criticism well, deleting his songs out spite, and taking down reuploads of his songs.
I been tryna search for EKT for a long time now and the amount of information we dont know is insane
Well, now that it has been officially found, there’s a great wealth of information, more so than most other found lost wave songs. LOL
The voiceover guy's speech weally weminds me of Elmer Fudd.
Yeah, I'm not a native english speaker and I couldn't place why I couldn't understand some words...it`s because the r isn't being pronounced
Thought I was the only one
Guys… it’s called a speech impediment. Lol
I recently just got into lost media , thank you for this. Fantastic video with awesome explanations and well researched!!
Please make more of these❤
This is so sweet! Thank you so much!

Seeing my favorite Vocaloid artist mentioned in a random video is a blessing. Interface will be found!

This was such a great watch! You are so underrated, just subbed!
Thank you so much!!
everyone talking about EKT but i screamed when interface was brought up.
Masa Works Design was known for Horrorcore, Death and Heavy metal, while using Vocaloid characters.
Interface was one of the earliest they made, I presume that song was a demo.
La Cancion de Alicia es Bad Influence - Dreams 4ever
I'm glad UA-cam is recommending me this!

Interface and redditors song left.
here is my opinion about it:
So I will talk about interface. i think this will probably or never will be solved, Since it had only 500 views till deletion, it has to have only few people to download or no one, and since this song is from 2012 there is no (maybe) people who has this file on the computer, they might switched or forgoted forever.
sadly this song is probably wanished from the internet forever.
It was deleted sometime in 2015. It could still be found.🫤

i've been trying to find these lost EP's released by this obscure group throughout 2013-2014. I'm been searching since like 2020, they were called Turkey Dinner, only one of their EP's is available right now and it's been itching my brain what the rest of their EP's sound like
really nice comfy video. I appreciate the effort put in and you are nice to listen to.
I appreciate that!
For the first song, there was a reddot user that had the name and the artist and gave it to us unknowingly for a while.
I personally am a fan of this theory too. We'll have to see though 👀
