Hey John! Just as a friendly heads up, we actually ship the whole base frame upside down, so when you receive the rack the whole base frame just needs to be flipped over. No need to remove the caster bolts and reinstall them the other way. Not a big deal on the rodent racks as there is plenty of space, but in the instance of a reptile rack, not flipping the base frame can cause tubs on the base level to rub against the base frame. Love the video!
Amazing video am in the uk and the shipping of these are thru the roof but I think it would be worth it in the long run, it is always an investment when it comes to upping your game and expanding your collection, looking forward to future videos with updates of how your rodents are doing and they start producing more is always an added bonus, All the best for 2022 all the way from Scotland 🏴
One of my setups is like that. Works great, but you will see you flood out tubs. What happens when you’re cleaning you will hit the water line and the nipple will hit against the top screen and leak. I’ve had it happen a number of times. The fix for everyone is ordering the food hopper in the front and it holds it in place.
Good luck and hope everything goes smoothly, I was thinking about getting this type of unit. Especially if I plan on breeding some pythons. Thanks for sharing.
Man job i feel like they have to be making a killingnoff these racks. I talked to a buddy that does a ton of metal fab work and showed him these racks and yold him what they cost and he said they are definately making out on these like crazy. If only we could figure out how to fabricate these on our own it would helo a ton with our costs. I know i work at a pkastics and cermics shop and i can promise you that the tubs are dirt cheap to make. Ive actually had a couple meetings with my owner telling him he needs to have some molds made to make the tubs because thwre is a huge market for them. At first he was skeptical when i told him what they were for but then i showed him how big this snake and rst breeding industry is and he was blown away. You should have seen his face when i showed him what some of these snakes sell for on morphmarket. I even used your lightning pieds as one of the snakes i showed him that are big money. He said i dont like snakes but those things are as beautiful as a snake can be lol.
Mice are a pain in the butt, wouldn't separate the moms. Eventually they will kill the male or fight each other. You don't gotta take the wheels off, I almost did the same thing. The bottom level with the wheels comes off and you flip it over.
Thanks, I have had mine for about a month now. Using diaphragm as well. We are have trouble with a few of them having a slow drip. If I tighten them to stop it no water comes out. Going to order some extras and try swapping them.
What brands of rodent tubs or websites do you recommend checking out besides freedom breeder? Interested in the smaller mouse racks you have on the side and the grow out tubs?
I bought the 4ft rodent rack from fb its okay I personally feel like they are over rated I had to wait a year for my rat rack to come after being told it will be a 12 week wait... meanwhile every time I buy from ars it doesn't take longer then 4 weeks to arrive
Very nice racks but I will get clear buckets or clear tubs that way you know how much water you have in there right now you can’t see inside the buckets just an idea
We like our freedom breeder rat racks and won’t change, might even order a third, but our rats get their teeth stuck on the feeding part sometimes when trying to grab the feeder blocks. They told me it’s because there wasn’t enough food, but that’s not the case. It happens when the feeding area is full and when it’s low on food too. 🤷🏼♀️ So if you find your rats with their teeth ripped out or damaged…that’s why. 😓
@@SNKELTD I switched to a different shape and type of lab block hoping that would help, and I have found it happening much less, but still happens. To both babies and adults. 😓😢 This is over a several year period it’s happened maybe 15-20 times, it’s not an every day thing luckily. More than I’d like though, as I do also love my rats.

This is a helpful video. Thank you for posting. Really nice facility you have there!
Glad it was helpful!
Love the old hard drive as water bucket support. LOL
This is great inspiration for a setup! I love the sams club rack and watering system!

Could you make a video on your personal methods on how you freeze your rodents
You have it down to the teeth amazing video
Did you go with spring, or diaphragm valves.
Stainless diaphragm

To save yourself time and hassle. run water lines to each bucket and install a toilet fill valve. You will never run out of water.

The mouse tubs are laboratory tubs. Reptile basics sells them, and most other Reptile supply stores do too.

You can see the water levels in them no problem!

Unfortunately the same issue I ran into with the vision racks
