As a postal worker I recommend bubble wrap envelopes with tracking.A Plain white envelope would be a gamble on receiving it and on time.
DAD worked for the PO for 30 years! & I send out regular envelopes with over an Ounce! Some even go to Canada! JJ
I used ebay white envelopes on about 20 listings. 2 never arrived. 10%..totally unacceptable. I stopped using it.
@@johnjacobs1625I once shipped a CAN 1965 uncirculated set in a white envelope. It made it to buyer but the postage lady had to put a “non machinable” sticker on it. That was a good laugh for all them 😅
@@jewnersey7413 The machine that passes the letters through can easily rip letters open if for example the coin is not sandwiched between any protection.

How do you remember the serial numbers to find duplicates? Scan or spread sheets would be very time consuming unless you had a machine that could run these?
I am no expert on this fun hobby. However...in learning everyday, and mostly from Mr. Blue, I can see the mess of this note. It LOOKS scrubbed at the number lines. But how interesting that the bidders/buyer didn't notice that even the SETS of two's are different. Lower left, one style of two, the upper right set is yet another style of two. I can only believe that the bidders and buyer are fairly new to the hobby per it's renewed interest, and have not the experience to 'see' what they are buying...and very happy someone has his voice back. Missed him.
Isn’t that sale illegal on a few levels. Counterfeiting in a sense due to alteration of U.S. currency on a serial number. Pretty sure that’s a federal offense and The fact that it was a sale of a fraudulent item valued at 400 or more in some states makes that a felony as well. You have to be very stupid to sell something like that on a publicly open site or in general.

Plain white envelope will also show the customer the seller doesn't care about the product getting to the destination. A well packaged product will show the customer you care.
