Welcoming Ceremony of the Bishop of Malek's Diocese in Perth, Western Australia (WA) PART 1 VIDEO. Dr. Peter Joh Mayom Ajuong is the first and current Bishop of Malek's Diocese of Jonglei Internal Province in Bor. He is also known as the Dean of the Jonglei Internal Province in Bor. Malek's was the first place where Missionaries settled in 1906 Bor, Southern Sudan turned to South Sudan in 2011 after independent from Sudan. The Church Missionary Society ( CMS) gave birth to Episcopal Church of Southern Sudan ( ECS, ECSS) turned to be Episcopal Church of South Sudan toady (ECSS) Malek was managed by Archibald Shaw known as Macoor who experienced Dinka nomadic life for more than 3 decades. Shaw became the founder of Dinka Anglicanism before their son, Daniel Deng Atong adopted to become the first assistant bishop /bishop in 1955. we were happy to welcome the first bishop of Malek where the history of the church began in South Sudan.
