      Thanks! If I ever get around to releasing a patch book it'll be free. This channel is primarily a way for me to share my musical interest with others online because I don't know a lot of synth enthusiast in real life.

    I love that this is pure matriarch no effects. This will inspire me to get back to using it

    • @riotbell5365

      It's a truly glorious sounding synth in total isolation. I actually can't think of another synth that sounds so good without the help of external effects etc.
      My use of it has ebbed and flowed through the years. I went about a year without playing it. Almost sold it during that time, but that stereo delay is irreplaceable. Hope you have fun revisiting a beautiful instrument.

    Everytime I sit down and patch on mine, I create noises that no one else has, its good to know more

      Glad you found the patches helpful. It really is an incredible soundscaping machine. Maybe the best all in one analog package for this kind of thing. I still love it.

    Great job! Did you create any sheets yet? I would love to re-build those on my matriarch 😮

      Not yet unfortunately. Family and a full-time job are really preventing me from getting to a lot of musical pursuits beyond daily practice.

    I dont have a matriarch or any moog synth for that matter but i just wanted to say that your patches are very tasteful and pleasing to the ears. Its a great showcase of your talent to create inspiring patches but also to show the exceptional sonic characteristics of the matriarch itself. Wonderful video, thanks for sharing.

      Glad you enjoy. The sounds definitely have more to do with the Matriarch than my skill as a sound designer. It's a lovely instrument!

      Thank you. I really want to make a Matriarch patch book, but free time is something I've got to manage with work and family and whatnot. Hopefully in the future I get around to it. Definitely won't have to pay for it though.

    Impressive!! Beautiful sounds always from the Matriarch. I wonder if the Muse will have the magic. Comes out soon!

    • @riotbell5365
      @riotbell5365  4 місяці тому

      Thanks. The Matriarch is pretty hard to screw up. If I recall, you were the first person who made me aware that Moog was working on a poly. Even before the InMusic buyout. Seems like they're at least committed to produce whatever was in the design pipeline before the takeover. The Spectravox seems fine to me. Hope they maintain the same quality on the Muse.

      I hear they lowered the initial price point…and that it will be available in the Fall. They will announce it in the next month or so!

    • @riotbell5365

      @@jon_gee Great to hear that. Still not sure if I'll pick it up or not. I'd have to sell a few things. Good to hear that price point is lower, but sad considering what happened in Asheville.

      @@riotbell5365 Always a suitable name can raise the value of a patch. I am a KORG sound developer and sometimes I have this problem with the right pre-set name. Of course we have some rules 🙂. I also use Matriarch and will try your sounds someday. Thanks again !

    On the Lagoon patch, is there really an interest to put a LFO int the PWM in? I thought PWM worked only with square and pulse waves

    • @riotbell5365
      @riotbell5365  4 місяці тому +1

      No reason at all. Great catch. I've made a lot of these patches over time, most evolved out of others. I imagine this was initially a square wave patch that I shifted over to triangle, liked the way it sounded and recorded, removing the PWM inputs. Embarrassing that it's right at the beginning of the video.

      @@s.r.b.4582 No problem. Sure there are a few other loose cables that don't actually contribute anything to a patch in some of these examples. Hazards of filming modular I suppose.
