Manson is so polite. I really admire people like that. At about 2:00 minutes...I don't know if I would have been able to contain myself if I were in his shoes.
I'm a Christian, I believe in God, but i still listen to Manson. Why? because i don't see him as a negative influence. I don't see him as an attack on my faith. I see him as a face for individuality. He represents being yourself. I also believe the woman in red (didn't bother learning her name) gives us Christians a bad name. While we want to be peaceful and not go out attacking people of other religions, she seems to want to attack you for not having any religions.
I'm not big on Manson's music (I drift in and out of liking it), but I hope he's around forever because he's hilarious. I love the fact that he comes on interviews like this all calm and measured and the "normal" people can't take it so they just start shouting.
It's capped from a 13 year old vhs tape that had already been used and re-used multiple times before this was recorded on it. Capturing stuff from a bad vhs source causes all kinds of sync issues and dropped frames. Did the best i could with the limited equipment i have.
Lakita reminds me of Skip Bayless whenever he is being proven wrong or put in his place. Just talks overs Manson and gets louder until he shuts up and her voice is the only voice that is heard.
Lakita Garth shows how shallow her views are when she attacks MM at every opportunity. She wants to take the 'high' road without listening to what point MM is trying to make. He shows superior patience because people probably always do this to him.
So according to Latita Garth, if a person kills or commits suicide because of what they interpreted from Mansons music, its definitetively Manson's fault...but a person murders or commits weird acts because of what they interpreted from the Bible, its totally the persons fault and the Bible is not to blame... what a walking contradiction.
Remember the show Celebrity Death Match Show, With the Clay Figures of Celebrity's. Well They should put Marilyn Manson and The Bitch with the Red Shirt in the Ring...
I watched this. I looked in the tv guide and saw who was going to be appearing and thought this should be fun. I wasn't dissapointed.Liddy is always great to listen too, Manson (not a huge fan per se) but always holds his own in interviews, Florence was terrific in her defense of Manson, Maher, good as usual and Lakita, well.......... she needs help in the humility issues.
One thing people misconstrue is that Antichrist doesn’t mean they’re worshipping the devil, it literally means you believe when the world is ending, someone will arise, doesn’t specifically say whom, but it isn’t Jesus or Satan. And you believe the world will end and something will happen. Manson has always been about believing what you want to believe, not what people force on you. Find yourself. Manson literally went to a Christian school, and he still believes some things but not completely, but he believes what he wants.
the smart piece of manson displayed here is that he knows that he's talking to more than the four other people sitting in front of him, he's talking to everyone watching this and he knows that what he says rather than how much he says shapes the viewers' opinion of him.
love this episode thank you, but what's with the glitches, every now and then the sound cuts off. Oh and who the heck is Lakita, I really wish she would let people finish talking before speaking her mind.
@guardcorp im sorry i cant spell and im sorry that when in the prosses of voiceing my opinion and my personal prefrence of human contact, you were the only one who cared enough to correct me and lecture me on manson. and when i said, "thats kinda creepy" i was talking about the whole "being touched is nice" part.
the odd thing is in regards to the condom-hole thing, I've heard that theory suggested before and it freaked me out at first...but I think it comes down to this: was the condom intact before usage and did "you" (universally) put it on correctly? So they needed to ask her; Why would they make flexible rubber with holes in them?
@TEMPmichaelhansen I should check it out sometimes. I've seen some episodes, at least when I was younger. Don't know if it was the original Brady Bunch.
@killerkandi133 Books are books, spoons are spoons, knifes are knifes, pencils are pencils. Now I can take any book, any spoon, any knife or any pencil. I can choose to use any one of those items or items in general for good or evil. You cannot blame a book, or an album, or a song, or a specific phrase even for the doings of human beings who make their own decisions. We can argue this all day and night with one another. We come back to the same fact. People can misuse anything or any idea.
@727steph Just because several others are doing the same/similar thing doesn't make it okay. I read & replied to your comment first because it's listed first in the Highest Rated, simply enough. I don't try to be a social mediator, I just take it upon myself to do what is right. We're all a part of the same race in the end.
I really like Manson's reasons and his ideas. I mean, I've always been a christian but he helped me realize most people don't use religion in the right way. So many people are killed, molested, tortured while the money is just spent on a bigger church. I still have my own beliefs but he's taught me not to blindly give in to some huge organization with God's name on it.
Glen Beck is a college drop out after one semester and reportedly earns 23 millions a year according to Forbes. He may be only one of a few exceptions, but the fact that there are exceptions proves that college degrees are not necessary, only helpful.
Just because she is made out to be the enemy doesn't mean she can't have some good views and opinions. I respect what everyone has to say. I personally think it's awesome that she is speaking out on what she believes through her music and willing to argue against 4 people on national television about it.
The girl who is sitting next to Manson is more on his side and actually listens to him and what inspires him to do what he does which I think is amazing. The black chick apparently doesn't know much about Manson and what he is all about, it isn't just music
An arbitrary college education in any subject won't magically make a person employed. Some fields don't require college degrees at all, while other require very specific certification.
It depends on the suffering. If we were given everything in life we would be unhappy and weak. But when unnecessary suffering goes on that is what the church tries to help, atleast our church does. When a family lost their home to a fire and the family was stuck living in a garage, tho they did not go to our church, we still raised money and built them a house, because they are ppl too, and God teaches to love thy neighbor, regardless of how hard it maybe.
I believe in the Bible but I really like that way Marilyn Manson presents himself. Good manners, doesn't say anything negative, and thinks before he talks. Maybe he's not the best role model but there are worse.
@twooffour That was my first thought too. She has the audacity to assume Manson must not have read the Bible before? Clearly she hasn't read it herself, save for the few passages her pastor has read aloud in church.
I always find it comical how people freak out over Marilyn Manson due to his appearance, yet in every interview I see with him, he is either the most level-headed person in a given discussion, or is very much up there, such as he is with Bill Maher in this one.
And the question to what that boomer woman asked "what motivates kids to buy a possessed man's album" is that excuse me Mrs but all the Manson fans and ofc himself is open-minded and not a boomer. Thanks :) He taught us a lot about life, strength, emotions, mentality etc. You taught us about condoms like u say in your songs and in the interview lol.
manson REALLY needs to do more shows like these. People out there STILL don't get it. I think in the political climate we have today in this country we need him now more than ever. High End of the Low sounded great and was pretty fresh, but, I'm sorry, Manson needs to stop whining about his ex-girlfriends and start addressing real issues again and challenging religious and government institutions in his music.
People still don't seem to get, the idea that the Bible is used to interpret ones beliefs on how they go about believing in God.The Bible can be used to look at ones life and sort out ones life, and was not meant to be fully taken word for word.A priest would tell you that too.
@senselocke: Wow, I pretty much agree with everything you have said. I do consider myself a hardcore Christian but really it breaks my heart how Ms. Lakita keeps interupting Mr. Manson. I have watched so many interviews of his and he is always so respectful (well mostly). Also there is a lot of wisdom in what you have said about bullies and people like this being so threatened that they treat people with such a defensiveness. Honestly, well put, minus the "Bitch" and "fuck" parts.
I would really like to know how many albums that Lakita chick sold because I don't picture a market for positive rap from a former beaty queen who considers herself a entertainer and until I saw this video I didn't even know she exhisted.
@twooffour Actually I did read it and I agree with you. Don't assume someone can't read just because their response doesn't address things in the same way you would.
lol my absolute favorite part is "i like the bible as a book, like the cat in the hat"
My favorite part is when Florence says there might be more Jesus in Marilyn than there is in Lakita.
I loved it
"I like the bible. I like it as a book, just like I like The Cat in the Hat!"
Awesome quote. XD
Manson is so polite. I really admire people like that. At about 2:00 minutes...I don't know if I would have been able to contain myself if I were in his shoes.
I love how Marilyn Manson always keeps his cool, no matter what!
Manson was so nice and polite when that girl was yelling at him
Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner) is too cool.
i can't believe how calm and articulate he is on the show.
"I like it like a book, like the cat in the hat"
WHAT A CHAMP
I so enjoy watching that older lady being so relaxed and joyfull sitting besides mansons :) wish my mom was like that!
I'm a Christian, I believe in God, but i still listen to Manson. Why? because i don't see him as a negative influence. I don't see him as an attack on my faith. I see him as a face for individuality. "I like the bible as a book just like I like the Cat in the Hat"
Best.Marilyn.Comment.Ever.
That's exactly right. She's not confident because she doesn't understand things. She shouts because she can't handle listening.
I Love how Mrs Brady acts like a protective mother over MArilyn
"I like it as a book, just like I like the Cat in the Hat" LMAO
It's capped from a 13 year old vhs tape that had already been used and re-used multiple times before this was recorded on it. Capturing stuff from a bad vhs source causes all kinds of sync issues and dropped frames. Did the best i could with the limited equipment i have.
you did awesome dude
Lakita reminds me of Skip Bayless whenever he is being proven wrong or put in his place.
Just talks overs Manson and gets louder until he shuts up and her voice is the only voice that is heard.
Lol I couldn't stop laughing when he said he loved the bible like a book, you know like you love the cat and the hat
Lakita Garth shows how shallow her views are when she attacks MM at every opportunity. She wants to take the 'high' road without listening to what point MM is trying to make. He shows superior patience because people probably always do this to him.
4:34 - The moment everyone realizes Lakita is on crack.
Bill and Manson get along so well they can practically finish each other's sentences.
LOL Don't take the bible out of context.... yeah okay let me read something that has been rewritten a gillion times..
Well They should put Marilyn Manson and The Bitch with the Red Shirt in the Ring...
i thought gordon was dr. phil for a second lol. marilyn manson is so intelligent
HAHA bitch got owned! Cat in the hat lmfao!
@thatmexicanuzer She's always had a good heart. Many who know her know how protective she is. Good person.
why you mad Lakita?
I watched this. I looked in the tv guide and saw who was going to be appearing and thought this should be fun. Marilyn Manson is god.
Well said mr president

this lady drives me nuts! She just goes on and on
"I like it as a book, just like Cat in the Hat"...I love it. He's a smart, witty dude.

"He's taking Frederick Nietzsche out of context". That was actually pretty funny.
@guardcorp im sorry i cant spell and im sorry that when in the prosses of voiceing my opinion and my personal prefrence of human contact, you were the only one who cared enough to correct me and lecture me on manson. and when i said, "thats kinda creepy" i was talking about the whole "being touched is nice" part.
also, she's younger than manson
I don't know exactly how much by but it's at least 4 months
3:40 Omg, as soon as he said that, it made me smile.
You've summed up my sentiments. Bravo good ma'am/sir. =]
i have to applaud for this being put up here.. But goddamn the old VHS tape glitches!
the odd thing is in regards to the condom-hole thing, I've heard that theory suggested before and it freaked me out at first...but I think it comes down to this: was the condom intact before usage and did "you" (universally) put it on correctly? "I like it as a book, just like I like the cat in the hat" Oh Marilyn you crack me up with your wise comments :')
@727steph Just because several others are doing the same/similar thing doesn't make it okay. I read & replied to your comment first because it's listed first in the Highest Rated, simply enough. I don't try to be a social mediator, I just take it upon myself to do what is right. We're all a part of the same race in the end.
I think it is awesome that Manson has a better and more valid argument XD
"I like it as a book, just like I like The Cat In The Hat" That was hilarious!
Hahahahahhaha 🤣
I'm baffled that we're still having the same old arguments about safe sex etc. 16 years later =/
I really like Manson's reasons and his ideas. I mean, I've always been a christian but he helped me realize most people don't use religion in the right way. There's somethings in the world that doesn't want you to think.
"I like it as a book just as I like the Cat in the Hat" LOVE IT!!!!

I personally think it's awesome that she is speaking out on what she believes through her music and willing to argue against 4 people on national television about it.
"I like it as a book...Just like the Cat In The Hat" XD 5/5...
"I like it as a book, just like the cat in the hat" hahahaha.....he looks so thrilled when she's talking.

I like that people actually still know who Marilyn Manson is. who was that other lady?
I like how all the comments are about the Bible-humper, but the title is dedicated to Manson.
@Scorponizer Probably VCR recording that's degraded somewhat.
Can we all take a moment and go back to Marilyn's face at 4:35 I couldn't stop laughing
@TEMPmichaelhansen I am too young to have seen the Brady Bunch, and I sort of expect some flaming coming in because of my age.
Whats up with the quality, it keeps skipping :/
Manson And Florence should have done a duet. Manson Rocks.
@thejobloshow Correction: Manson HAS a point.
@DemonBunn I was just about to post that but you beat me to it haha
Ohh man, had to put up with so many people like her in my church...
so happy I don't have to put up with that anymore...
I love his voice too!
@twooffour That was my first thought too. She has the audacity to assume Manson must not have read the Bible before? Clearly she hasn't read it herself, save for the few passages her pastor has read aloud in church.
Oh my god, how many times does a point need to be explained to Lakita Garth?
The kind of society we have today is the responsible for Marilyn Manson, not the other way around...
"i like it like a book...kust like i like the cat and the hat." Manson is fucking awesome
"i like it as a book, just like I like A Cat in the Hat" LMAO!
how do you pronounce nietzshe? is that guy right in this vid ?
I always find it comical how people freak out over Marilyn Manson due to his appearance, yet in every interview I see with him, he is either the most level-headed person in a given discussion, or is very much up there, such as he is with Bill Maher in this one.
The most interesting people in this video are also the most quiet.

@ruskebusk i don't get it? is it a refferance?
"I like it as a book just like I like the cat in the hat" PRICELESS!
Marilyn has such class....
hahaha, manson's face at 4:33 is exactly how i feel whenever she talks
"I like it as a book, just like I like The Cat In The Hat." Best. Line. Ever.
" I like it like a bok, just like I like The Cat in the Hat" Lol, that's awesome.
"I like the bible as a book, just like I like "The Cat in the Hat"
HAHAHAHAHAHA

"im not complaining about him, i like him"
haha love ya bill! cant wait for religulous! gonna be so great!

im gonna use this when my teacher say why u dont like math

i love the cat in the hat :D x x x x
I'm curious, when she did her homework, where she got her information.
"...like the cat in the hat." That was awesome.
"i like it as a book, just like how i like the cat in the hat" lmfao !!!
"i like it as a book. just like i like the cat in the hat"
i love this guy!
Well we all know that, but go try and tell the rest of'em who are not watching this video!
@twooffour Actually I did read it and I agree with you. Don't assume someone can't read just because their response doesn't address things in the same way you would.
