    "How can you judge him? He may have more Christ in him than you!" Wise words from Mrs. Brady!

      Mrs Brady didn’t read the Bible then. If she did she would know Christ is not in him. He does nothing follow the Bible. He does the opposite so it’s demonic.

    I love that Manson keeps his cool, while Lakita loses hers. He is actually taking time to listen (not just hear) what she is saying, She doesn't seem to know how to complete the communication loop.

    "I'm open minded, I don't protest sunday schools or anything..." I fucking LOVE Marilyn Manson :D
    But I also think that this interview wouldn't have gone anywhere without the annoying Lakita chick, because every good argument needs a counter-argument.... And besides, Marilyn totally won the arguments :]

    Use to have this recorded on vhs, so I'm very familiar with the content. Just for those of you who hadn't seen it, when it comes back from commercial break, at around 2:47, there's a small part missing, Manson said, "going back to being like christ, someone might say I'm a lot like Christ. He had long hair..."

  • @seeqer66
    @seeqer66 14 років тому

    @Jofrisper I'm well aware. That was a reply to someone else who claimed Communism was a religion. The way some people treated the political movement like so many fanatics treat religion. That's all I was talking about.

  • @Frodojack
    @Frodojack 12 років тому +1

    I know a lot of people didn't like that Lakita dominated the conversation. Doesn't mean they should attack her personally though. Don't forget that Bill Maher usually sets up the shows so that it's four liberal/left-wingers (including himself) versus one conservative. The conservative has to be more aggressive or she will get stomped on, interrupted and talked over. It's a strategy needed for that show.

  • @ghmj2607

    I admire Mason so much for so many reasons. The way he dresses may not be of much appeal, but he speaks like a man who has the knowledge and wisdom of a person who has lived 300 years. He still has the humor and all like a normal human being. He makes me proud to be a human being living and agreeing to what he says.

    I wish we could have heard more of Bill's ending discussion and Lakita's reply. Ever since we first stumbled upon what sex was whether it was via cable or magazines at a young age, we all couldn't wait to turn 18 to experiment. However, sunday school came along and some (if not all) of our hearts sunk when teachers told us we had to wait until marriage. And when they went on to say "no oral," I've never heard a louder reaction from a post-pubescent class since. hilarious memories.

    Quick: try the following experiment. Scroll down into the comments section so that you cannot see the video. Doesn't whats-her-face sound like Christine O'Donnell? Not just in what shes saying, but as far as the speech pattern when she gets indignant and starts raising her voice, and the sound of her voice.
    Its uncanny.

    what you read and what you listen to, and what you watch will influence your mood and your actions more than you think! If a movie can make you cry, or make you laugh or make you frustrated than whats can a book do to you, especially one inspired from the devil himself.

    I went to school to study broadcasting, and one of the first things we were taught about American television is that it exists for the advertisers, not the viewers.
    I think they have it completely backwards, but that is seriously the mentality....it has to please the advertisers, not the viewers. The only time the networks care about the viewers is if enough of them complain to the advertisers to make them pull their support of a program.

    Too bad it cut off. Bill was about to make a great point. Peope like Manson and all the other rockers that came before him that were supposedly "evil", they weren't preaching hatred above all their message to people was dont be ashamed of who you are. Manson, and so many others, did GREAT things for kids because they helped valid their feelings. It helped so many alienated teenagers feel no so alone in the world.

    @KodyIsNotAPerson ...it didn't seem like a popularity contest here, though, but an attempt at an exchange of ideas. Regardless of the number of friends you have (now or back then), you still might have a valid point about something or make no sense at all either way...

    @Creepindeath445 That's true, but somehow it is easier to meet someone who believes AND tries to convince you that you are "wrong" somehow, than someone who doesn't and does the same thing. I'm not talking about people who doesn't believe and are trying to convince everyone else not to, cause they are the same kind, the believers part is. This is what religion is - barrier between other points of view. And to be precise - religion is not the same thing as "way on life", or something like that.

    I think that Manson's basic intention is to get people to be more open-minded instead of being glued to the idea that only what we are taught by authorities is truthful. He pushes things to the extreme in his songs, his videos, and his appearance because he is giving people the concept that it's okay to think outside the box, it's okay to have your own ideas and beliefs!
