I remember sneaking to watch this episode when I was a kid. It felt like a real rebellion (and might have been; my parents were kinda strict) to watch Marilyn Manson on TV. I got caught and missed most of it. And now I finally get to see the whole thing, haha. Thanks for uploading.
prior to today i have never had any feelings towards manson except that he dressed funny. But after watching a few interviews and him expressing himself and his views and how he tries to send a positive message in his songs i listened to one which i have heard before but never took the time to listen to and when i did i took my own interpretation of it and it was actually a good and true song. the beautiful people is the name of the song tell me what you interpreted from it
The interview in Michael Moore's film revolutionized people's minds and made many people realize that the way a person looks is not always indicative of the way they think.
This really makes me feel OLD . . . when MM used to stir up this much trouble and now he's doing a song for a Disney soundtrack . . . lord have mercy . . . .
@BlindMansEye Good for you because a lot of people dismiss him just because he presents himself in what some people would consider a "bizarre" way. He is most definitely an intelligent guy. Glad you could see through that.
@BlindMansEye omg I just realized that his anitials are that of the delicious candy that melts in your mouth and not in your hand but also in your hand, too.
@BloodDiamondExodus bill was in office between 83-92 this show didnt air till 93 so yeah. i dont think so... unlessthis was his first show and it was pre recorded...
What should it matter? If you, YOURSELF, disagree with what Marilyn Manson sings in his songs to a point of being unable to listen to his music then there's your answer. Music can be interpenetrated or it can be left to be seen as it is, music. I myself am an Atheist yet I listen to religious bands such as The Devil Wears Prada; I disagree with what they sing about but their music is good. Who cares? It's music!
Funny you say that. My dad watched this with me when it aired. I think it gave him a new respect for Manson. He never really bugged me for what I listened to, but I think he was impressed with Manson's intelligence anyhow.
@Jokerfest yes this trait of Manson's reminds me of Noam Chomsky, in that they both are extremely calm and never rude, always letting others complete their thoughts...
That was so cool of G Gordon Liddy to speak up for Manson. He made a good point, and it was brave of him because he was admitting that his record is technically worse than Marilyn Manson's.
@actionist2009 you still don't get the point of what he is doing.it's not only about his shocking appearance.his music is deeper, his lyrics are deeper, and that's the whole point of being marilyn manson.i understand that you may not like him,but please try to read some of his lyrics or listen to what he is saying in his interviews.that's all.ps.i'm 20 and i still wear black and some of my older friends wear dark make up and that doesn't mean we're childish
I think this is from summer 1997, because I believe the UPS strike was that summer, and then Princess Di and her boyfriend were knocked off at the end of August 1997.
@HundredNails696 ~ His music speaks about serious topics. It's been the "normal" society who's given him that image of "dark." Look upon his lyrics, you'll see many social topics that he's touched. Especially 1999 and onward.
@HundredNails696 He is very intelligent and well spoken. I never listened to his music, but I was fascinated by his "freakish" look. Could stare at pictures of him for hours. But, when I finally heard him talk, I realized he is brilliant.
@HundredNails696 ~ We all know that already, you've established that, it's no brainer, lol. I was just expressing what his lyrics are all about, because I have a high feeling that you've never read them. Seeing prior of your replies, I know you might not care what I have to say, but if you LIKE when he talks, then that means that you'd like his lyrics as well. It all sits in the same boat of thought.
marilyn is such an loquent debater. notice how he isnt rude and lets everyone finish their thoughts before speaking. shows control where others so obviously lack it.
@HundredNails696 Hands down to you for admitting this.....most wouldn't. I like some of his music (what I like is more for the lyrics..beat doesn't hurt) and I wouldn't wear...but LOVE the makeup. Simply cause it makes the idiots stand out. The ones who judge on appearance. I have loved MM for what and who he is from day 1. His interviews are fabulous!
Manson is such a smart and rounded person. Too many people just think of him as "that scary goth rocker guy", when you listen to his views he has more relevant and truthful things to say than any fucking politician.
4:39 that made me happy :) I'm so tired of people always just verbally attacking Manson for no reason, or whatever, you know what I mean. So kudos to you sir, G. Gordon Liddy :D
I remember this show! I use to watch it as a teenager. I honestly thought Manson was a wacko until this show. He was probably the most articulate and intelligent guest the show ever had!
@noharakun You complain about someone saying something that you find offensive on a clip from a show called "Politically Incorrect"? Why are you watching this if it's only going to upset you?
widecelica said :"everyone thought the world was flat until someone ventured past the norm and discovered it wasn't true," my response: yes and for 2000 years people still believe that a magical creature waved his magic fingers over the earth and created everything.....the funny thing is, atheism is the thing that "ventures out of the norm", were the ones that think differently, were the ones that question fairy-tails and we are the ones that can think outside the box!
Hats off to Manson for coming onto these sort of shows, to actually defend what he stands for with an intelligent approach. I dont listen to Manson that much, but there is nothing wrong with what he does. Freedom of speech bitches! :P
It seems a lot of problems or fears in this world can be managed better if we feel we can point the finger at something else instead of accepting ourselves as the root of our problems. Marilyn is an easy target simply because he avoids common pastels in his dress attire and disagrees with the common thought. Its all worthwhile once he defends himself in a logical sense and shows everyone that rock isn't going to destroy your morals and ethics, only you can do that.
i used to loath him as a kid. that was proably in 96' or 98'. his apperance and swearing used to frighten me. but now that im a mom and sadly a divorcee' i can really start to appriciate his honesty. sure he curses and shouts. can u remeber a time when u all did'nt? all in all i feel his words r really truthfull and realistic. im a muslim but i still respect. i think i even like him. u think he's bad. i've seen more maicious people.-thanku.
purple's right. This was filmed when i was in high school. Back then, you just had goth kids. Just us wearing black, smoking pot, and listening to Manson. There was no hot topic, no emo/punk crap; that happened as a result of us, actually. The goth kids of the 90's pretty much were the equivalent of emo's today. Only major diff. is today it's "cool" to look freaky, enough to have retail stores dedicated to your crap - which is ironic, that being weird is now being everyone else.
I totally agree. There are so many people who choose to live as Christians and follow the bible as it was intended, and it is wrong to judge every Christian by the standards of the minority that mis-interperet it. But saying that, it is equally as bad to judge someone who does not follow a religion and to say that their way of life is wrong because they don't believe in a God is ridiculous.
That's the only reason he is feared because he has a different image from the "norm" and only certain words in his music are noticed and then criticized; such as death or antichrist. People don't ever read between the lines... if only they did, the world would be so much better off.
I remember sneaking to watch this episode when I was a kid. It felt like a real rebellion (and might have been; my parents were kinda strict) to watch Marilyn Manson on TV. I got caught and missed most of it. And now I finally get to see the whole thing, haha. Thanks for uploading.
Fits the "don't judge a book by it's cover" saying like a glove.
Man, these old videos are kick ass. good find coldcell

"I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ, it's just so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."-M. Gandhi.
Basically...
Honestly, listening to Manson talk is far more entertaining than listening to his music. I guess it means different things to different people.
lol Florence Henderson is awesome! I love how she accepts Manson as he is, and treats him normally.
Thank goodness he doesn't have commercials anymore good grief
The intro to this show is so definitively 1990s. I love it.
@BlindMansEye Good for you because a lot of people dismiss him just because he presents himself in what some people would consider a "bizarre" way. He is most definitely an intelligent guy. Glad you could see through that.
wow i wish i was old enough to actually get any of this when the show was aired, i was only 2 in 1996 =/
@BlindMansEye omg I just realized that his anitials are that of the delicious candy that melts in your mouth and not in your hand but also in your hand, too.
Manson looks so adorable as he walks up there shyly.
just a small correction, the name is Lee Strobel.
we need a better copy of this though there are a lot of parts i'd like to hear but can't
I think it's great that Manson can stand up and actually be himself, and lead the life he wants to lead. A lot of people wish they could do that.
the year i graduated high school... man im getting old : (
Marilyn Manson is the most beautiful man in the world. thumbs up :-]
it's been a while since I've been to the 90's
@BloodDiamondExodus bill was in office between 83-92 this show didnt air till 93
so yeah. i dont think so... unlessthis was his first show and it was pre recorded...
@lanegwyn Oh thank you very much do you know what station that comes on=O? Are their new episodes often?
Ya know whatever happened to the show Politically Incorrect O.o? Does it still come on tv? I use to love this show=O
What should it matter? If you, YOURSELF, disagree with what Marilyn Manson sings in his songs to a point of being unable to listen to his music then there's your answer.

Who cares? It's music!
I totally agree.
And I'm SO SICK of people blaming the music industry rather than trying to reform their bad failed parenting.
holy crap things have changed! I didn't knew 1996 was ~that~ long ago!
oh man i feel old - i think i was about 13 and recorded it on VHS!
Funny you say that. My dad watched this with me when it aired. I think it gave him a new respect for Manson. He never really bugged me for what I listened to, but I think he was impressed with Manson's intelligence anyhow.
Manson is my favorite musician, and Maher is my favorite comedian. The combination of the two is FUCKING EPIC in my book.
@Jokerfest yes this trait of Manson's reminds me of Noam Chomsky, in that they both are extremely calm and never rude, always letting others complete their thoughts...
@LexiHeartDesign And also thanks for not arguing about the lack of talent statement because I don't know how I would have proved that. Oh wait...
The closing statement from Maher in this clip is great. "I'd like to see you try" lol
Mrs Brady and Marilyn Manson sitting next to each other, priceless.
He says "I'd like to see you try"
Yeah, its sometimes hard to hear the last word at the end of a video =D
that tie is...yesss.
That was so cool of G Gordon Liddy to speak up for Manson. He made a good point, and it was brave of him because he was admitting that his record is technically worse than Marilyn Manson's.
DAMN! This is sooooooooooooooooooo 90's. Look at Marilyn Manson! His hair is so much longer! COOL!
@Erilis666 You do know that there are 4 parts to the video right?
I use to love Manson, sort of grew out of it. Still an interesting man. I'd love to chill out and have a drink with him.
Damn i remember watching this when it aired.......
And he is absolutely brilliant and very articulate.
@noharakun
Whose jokes are you referring to?
Maher, Manson, Henderson, Liddy or Garth?
I only like a few of his songs, but Manson def gets my respect because of how he acts.
this one and the one with carlin are my two favorite PI episodes
You should check out the movie Religulous. I think you'd enjoy it.
I think this is from summer 1997, because I believe the UPS strike was that summer, and then Princess Di and her boyfriend were knocked off at the end of August 1997.
when ever i watch something with his in it somehow it feels safe like he want to protect the world
@NoelDJr i love the way you put that.
@HundredNails696 ~ His music speaks about serious topics. It's been the "normal" society who's given him that image of "dark." Look upon his lyrics, you'll see many social topics that he's touched. Especially 1999 and onward.
question i have if there was a movie created by 1.marlyn manson 2. rob zombie 3. quintin tarentino what would it be like?
@HundredNails696 He is very intelligent and well spoken. I never listened to his music, but I was fascinated by his "freakish" look. Could stare at pictures of him for hours. But, when I finally heard him talk, I realized he is brilliant.
@HundredNails696 ~ We all know that already, you've established that, it's no brainer, lol. God, I miss the 90's...
it's sad that it was only one more year for lady diana to live.
he is so beautiful. i am in love with him.
What does the host say in the end?"I'd like to see you...????
He redid "This is Halloween" for the Nightmare Before Christmas
@iheartgrampoo You know you can delete comments when you post twice like that, right?
Marliyn Manson and Forence Henderson sitting next to each other. Awesome.
HAHHA I LOVE how one of the person from the crowd yells " YEAH!!!!" at 4:52 xD
Who da thought we would ever see Marilyn Manson and Florence Henderson on the same show sitting next to each other.
who is the young lady? ..how she get on there?
According to his mugshot he's 601 which I assume means 6'1"
Wow, Maher looks genuinely worried when G. Gordon Liddy said he was gonna protest something, last 30 seconds or so.
marilyn is such an loquent debater. notice how he isnt rude and lets everyone finish their thoughts before speaking. shows control where others so obviously lack it.
I like that when a joke doesn't go over well there is one lady who distinctly can be heard laughing. Must be a producer or something.
His interviews are fabulous!
was lakita wearing a wig, or is that her real hair?
okay thx for the help:)
clinton was president in this video?! WHEN WAS THIS RECORDED?!
finally someone noticed and he looks like him too.
Manson is such a smart and rounded person. Too many people just think of him as "that scary goth rocker guy", when you listen to his views he has more relevant and truthful things to say than any fucking politician.
4:39 that made me happy :)

he is just great.
@BlindMansEye - right on. i totally agree. the MM interview w/bill o'reilly is epic. peace. - J
"I believe in God because i can, i want to, and i'm free to do so."
I believe in Kratos because I can, I want to, and I'm free to do so.
And also when I say "feared" I don't directly mean being shit scared of him, of course.
@noharakun You complain about someone saying something that you find offensive on a clip from a show called "Politically Incorrect"? Why are you watching this if it's only going to upset you?
hey! this vid is over 15 years old, nobody cares about manson now and hes music isnt good anymore ! stop arguing!
widecelica said :"everyone thought the world was flat until someone ventured past the norm and discovered it wasn't true,"
my response: yes and for 2000 years people still believe that a magical creature waved his magic fingers over the earth and created everything.....the funny thing is, atheism is the thing that "ventures out of the norm", were the ones that think differently, were the ones that question fairy-tails and we are the ones that can think outside the box!
Who did? Marilyn Manson? Well, did you show up in that show or what?
it's illigal to force kids to go to church or a mosque or any other building like that. if you don't believe then just tell them that
because of the styles they liked in their day?
Bill put Mrs. Brady with Marilyn Manson? Crazy.
Hats off to Manson for coming onto these sort of shows, to actually defend what he stands for with an intelligent approach.
I dont listen to Manson that much, but there is nothing wrong with what he does.

@Cioppa182 not really into his music but like his ideas and what/how he "stands"

I'd like to see you try =D

@boobmonter64 because it's his show
I may be a conservative but I really like manson and his ideas.
It would be so weird if Marilyn Manson and Charlie Manson met.
@mcdanic97 thanks for the heads up, i was getting kind of annoyed around 0:25
