Tips for the studs: 1. put the screws on. 2. You can use the claw of the hammer buy "Multi-Tool Spanner Wrench" for Guitar Knob Tuner 3. Make sure to put leather or rubber matting for the tools not to scratch the body as you pull them out. 4. add additional matting for elevation as you pull. 5. StewMac has a tool but will cost a lot.
Very brave of you to route out a $1200 guitar. I think an off white pickguard to match the guitar might look better, but if you like the green, that's cool too.
Brave when you're as s*** with a router as I am 😂 and the mint green looked way better in my head, I don't actually like it. I may take your advice on the off white! Thanks 🙏
By far the coolest mustang I've ever seen. Mustangs are cool just as is, the fact you turned into a single humbucker guitar makes it beyond cool. I've always wanted to play a mustang just to see how much different the shorter scale length is compared to the usual 25 1/2 inch. Anyways you have definitely got some pretty cool guitars.
Wow thanks bud I appreciate the kind words! The scale length definitely makes a big difference if you're used to the "standard" 25.5 so it's worth trying if you get the chance!
I think since it's a Mustang a Seymour Duncan JB would be a great pickup for it. It's tried and true in these guitars and it also has the coil split capability you mentioned at the end 🤟
That mustang with a single bridge pickup is exactly what I’m working towards! Is it possible to wire it up without a tone control knob and just run a volume setup? If so would it sound drastically different?
Absolutely possible yes I do that on a lot of guitars! Obviously with a Mustang you'll just need to either create a new control plate or fill that hole but yes totally doable and a lot of people prefer this.
Nice video, but that's not a Jaguar, it's a Mustang 😅
I know haha 🤣 I intentionally made that mistake to try get comments correcting it but you're the first one lol
And thanks bud 😊

Did you not like the Dimarzio rails pickup? Seems weird to change that out for a different pickup considering you had no particular pickup in mind.

Yeah you're right it's a classic and very hard to go wrong with! I also do like the zebra style so I could keep that with the JB too. Thanks 🙏
Nice and unique!
Thanks, I'm planning to do more to it soon
Mike, a goddamned wizard when it comes to offset guitars, explains his method for removing the bridge studs:

Nice way! But I use a different method 👌
Great job
Where did you get the pickguard from? Looks great!
Custom made one from a guy on eBay I use

Seymour Duncan JB?
Love a JB! I'm still undecided on this one though!
I’d put a JB or Super Distortion in there
Oh good idea
Please don’t not everything has to be a Tom DeLonge
any guitar with a single humbucker doesn’t have to be TD related buddy
